Lovely stay

We've stayed at Turtle Dunes many times. This condo is lovely and we enjoyed our time there very much. Amelia Plantation has lots of great things to do as well.

Loved the size and location of the condo. Great walking and biking distance. Beautiful views and trails - live oaks and magnolias everywhere. Amelia Island is a beautiful place!

Fantastic 3 bedroom on the beach

This wonderful condo has the most incredible views. It's on the 6th floor. You have a beautiful ocean view from the living room and kitchen window. The master bedroom has great views of the inter-coastal water way and the tree canopy over the island. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking even gourmet meals. The pool is large and beautiful. I love the north side of the island. This time of year it is very secluded on the beach. Hardly anyone on the beach. Very safe. I love being in the plantation with the gated guarded community. Highly recommend.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time. The place was great. The elevator does not let you out on the floor of the condo. You have to walk down 8 to 10 steps to get down to the condo. It was a small problem for one guest with a walker. The sliding screen doors in the main bedroom do not close tightly. So watch out for bugs. The place is very nice. Nice pool . No bathroom by the pool.

Limited Alternative Options after Maintenance Issue

The condo is as described with regards to the bedroom layout and view. The view is gorgeous from the oceanside as well as the marsh-side. In this regard, the condo is laid out very well for a family. However, this is one of the furthest condos in the complex from the pool and walkway to beach. As noted in a previous review, even once off the elevator, there are still 8 more steps to the unit. We arrived on a Saturday and the elevator was broken. It was not repaired until Wednesday. This unit is 7 flights of stairs from the main level. We stayed for an entire week so we had a great deal of luggage, cases of water, coolers, food, etc. to bring up the stairs. We also had my handicapped mother with us. Things happen and elevators break and that is life. But, Vacasa, the property manager, did absolutely nothing to accommodate us. They were minimally responsive each day and did eventually offer us a far less comparable 2 bedroom unit for our 6 people. I also reached out to VRBO and never received a response. My husband and I own a property management company and our own VRBO property and the poor handling of the situation was very disappointing for us. I hate to give the condo owners a lower than excellent review but this 3-star is solely for Vacasa.

Family Vacation

The place is great. The screen doors on the bedroom balcony do not close completely. The elevator does not let you off on the floor. You need to walk down 8 steps. This is a problem if you have trouble with going up and down stairs. There is no bathroom by the pool. Other the place is great.
