The property was very quiet and peaceful. My husband and I really enjoyed coming back to the cottage after spending the day with family. The flower gardens was beautiful.
Nice cabin with AC, and a comfortable bed. Also a covered patio that was nice to spend evenings on when the weather cooled off.
A short drive from Cave Junction, and not too far from a couple of wineries.
Spent three nights, and had no complaints.
Cozy, and very quiet; which is what we like. Close to Cave Junction, but doesn't feel like it. On the way to the Oregon Cave National Monument, which is where we were headed.
Beautiful location in rural Cave Junction. Easy drive to the Oregon caves and trails. Comfy king size bed and homey touches including fresh flowers and yummy coffee.
Good jumping off point for the Oregon Caves National Monument
Very clean property in a quiet location out of town (but only about an 8 minute drive away). It has everything you need for a one or two night stay to explore the Oregon Caves or the Illinois Valley. We enjoyed the provided coffee from a local roaster.
Quiet (very!) cabin. Best for 2 adults. Clean. Nice touches of fresh flowers and half and half for coffee. King size bed was comfy. For us it was a convenient location. Would recommend.
Our family road trip took us through Cave Junction (we wanted to do the cave tour- well worth it!) and we stayed one night. Sarah was a welcoming and wonderful host! Her place was easy to find, clean and suited our needs well.
Older, rustic, dated, and very simple but nice. Nothing fancy, but we were not looking for anything fancy. In the countryside and on the way to the caves, so it was convenient and quiet. The price was right compared to most high priced hotels these days. Met our needs just right. Wi-Fi did not work, but we had OK cell service. We did not receive our host’s details until the morning of arrival, which worked out just fine. Sarah was very nice.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. Our host Sarah was very helpful and communicative and made sure the woodfire stove was pre lit upon our arrival which was a nice surprise. Everything was exceptionally clean and the nights are very peaceful. The kitchenette lacked a stove which was expected so we planned accordingly. The cottage provided us with the perfect amount of room for two people which brought a cozy atmosphere to the whole place. Would be delighted to stay again.
My family and I stayed here in August 2023 on our way to the Oregon caves. Check in and communication was easy prior to getting there, and the host. Introduced yourself since she was outside, but left us to ourselves. Definitely felt supported if we needed some thing, but we did not have to bother her on our stay. Cabin was cozy, comfortable, she had some air conditioning since it’s been so hot. Great coffee, and she had even thought to get us some half-and-half, since my wife prefers that with her coffee. Thoughtful, cozy, wonderful location. Definitely recommend!
Great location to the caves. Great outside space so my kids could play after a long days drive. The inside was very clean and had everything we needed. Large king size bed and the pull out couch was very easy to use. My senior mother slept on the pull out and she said she had a comfortable nights sleep. The king bed was very comfortable. There are games and books available. My mom loved the book on the Caves. She’s read the whole thing. We had great communication with the owners. Overall highly recommend.
The door was unlocked upon arrival. Code given was not correct. Owner was made aware of situation at end of stay, (believe owner lives on property, but was never seen.). Left a note with situation, and an email to contact me. Zero response.
Overall experience was .... it was a cozy cottage in the woods.
The place was quiet and cute. We could have used face clothes. The coffee maker does not work well at all. I started the coffee maker and ten minutes later it was only 1/4 full, if that. I would recommend the owners check it out and purchase a new one. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were way to full for me. I prefer a flatter pillow… just preference I guess. Thank you for the stay
This place was a great spot for us to hang out at night after a long day of hiking. If you are looking to stay more than a few days, this may not be a fit due to the lack of full kitchen but it was perfect for our long weekend.
