Unwind in a main living area with a huge sectional, plush armchairs, and a 55-inch TV. Or enjoy quiet time in a second living area featuring a comfy couch, matching armchair, and TV. A stylish kitchen boasts dark wood cabinetry and a host of stainless steel appliances, including a side-by-side refrigerator. In the mornings, sip coffee at the breakfast bar. Very Nice House

I booked this house for a business trip for myself and three colleagues in October. It was the perfect location for our business trip to the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area. The house was so clean, and it was very spacious. There was plenty of room for the four of us to spread out and have our own space when we needed it. All of us agreed that we really enjoyed staying here. We would stay here again if we ever came back to the area for another business trip.

Last minute rental due to Hurricane Helene

We were due to go to Anna Maria Island for our family vacation but Hurricane Helene had a different idea. We were able to change our destination to Destin FL the day before we were leaving. House is very roomy. Gated community. Could walk to pool and public beach. Great location!! So happy we were able to have our family vacation as planned!

Family Vacation

The home has an open floor plan that accommodated our family. It was clean and comfortable in a great location only 10 minutes from beach in a quiet neighborhood. I’d encourage some updates with cookware etc. as well as some appliances that no longer worked.

Not managed very well

The home was in a great location and was beautiful from the outside. However, appliances didn't work. 5 out of 6 TVs didn't have controllers and could not be used. All bar stools were loose and dangerous to sit on. Several doors had doorknobs nearly falling off. Large piles of dog feces littered the back yard to where it made it unbearable to sit on the back patio without smelling it. Several drawers and toilet paper holders were either broken or missing.

Perfect weather vacay!

Gave this a 3/5 bc there were many excellent things this place offered to us, yet a some important things to us that rated poorly —so averaged to 3/5. Excellent layout for our family needs and gatherings, pretty clean w no bugs at all, plumbing worked great, SUPER EZ departure, great community, really EZ proximity to beach, and a little privacy. On the down side, gold cart is not worth using (painfully slow when fully charged), kitchen stove is difficult, rat on the premises (nest inside grill and I saw it run across the patio), and in need of general maintenance updating. All that said, we had a wonderful family vacay here.

Great!!!... but one big flaw...

This house is close to the beach in a nice clean quiet neighborhood. Everything was great, but the AC in the upstairs main part of the house was not working throughout our whole stay which made 3 of the bedrooms 75-85 degrees. The cleaner before us informed vacasa of this before we showed up, and the unit was still not working when we showed up. We called about it and they sent someone out, and when we got home from dinner it still wasn't fixed. We had people sleeping on the couch because of the heat upstairs. Without the AC unit issue, no complaints.

Great location but needs minor improvements. The microwave kept tripping the breaker so maintenance had to bring in a small replacement. The golf cart needs an alignment, it's borderline dangerous on the road. Remote controls to the TV only works at times. Bicycles are old and worn

SPACIOUS AND LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

This home holds a larger family perfectly and the neighborhood is top-notch. We will be seeking future rentals in Destiny by the Sea. The home even had things one needs to enjoy their vacation such as a golf cart and entertainment.

spring Break 2022 almost 5 stars

Overall a Beautiful & spacious house! Unfortunately, we had issues with the ac on the second level of the main house. It was not working at all so you can imagine how hot it was up there! The codes to all the gates also did not work. So I suggest double-checking with that and the AC before booking. Vacasa/the owners were responsive & brought us some box fans but the AC was never fixed. The girls, unfortunately suffered through 5 very very hot nights. Other than that, a nice big and clean house! The fenced and spacious backyard was also one of our favorites! & the close walk to the beach was fantastic! Would have been a solid 5 stars if the Ac situation was handled properly. It was an unfortunate situation.

My Great Vacation and More

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My overall experience was nice. The only issues we faced was only half of the stove worked in our home. Secondly, we wish the patio was covered because the day we used the grill it rained immensely. Lastly, only one side of the gas grill worked. Nevertheless, the property was in a perfect location to the beach. We had a great time at the pool and was very close to shopping and other restaurants, etc.

Horrible Customer Seevice

I wish I could leave a good review. The house was beautiful and clean, but if you encounter a problem, don’t count on it being fixed. Within 30 minutes of our arrival we noticed the golf cart wasn’t on site and reached out to customer service. In response, I was sent a text stating that it was sent in to get the brakes changed and they’d inform us when it would be back. I asked if we could be reimbursed for a rental. I was told that was a possibility but that I would definitely receive some kind of reimbursement each day the golf cart wasn’t on property. I explained this was an amenity that we looked for specifically because we have small children and grandparents that we wanted to shuttle to the beach instead of having them walk, but we were okay with waiting for day two. However on day two and every day after that we were given no answers. Every time I called, I was told someone would contact me but was never given any information other than a text saying “we’re waiting on an update from the home care team”. We were not reimbursed, as we were told. Truthfully, it would have been completely fine with me had they remotely tried to communicate and make things right, but the issue was basically ignored for our entire 5 day stay. I’ll also mention that we expected to have basic supplies there but had to immediately go to the store for toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Lastly, checkout was at 10am, but the cleaning lady showed up at 915am and stood in the yard as we packed up our things. Again, the house was lovely. Just don’t expect any problem solving from the company.

Great house and the location is perfect!

We went down for 4th of July weekend and it was amazing. Check in was easy. House was very clean as we arrived. We had 9 adults and a baby and it couldn’t of been more perfect for all of us. Our daughter played in the huge living room all weekend. All 5 beds were comfy and big. The couch in the living room I wanted to take home with me. Walking distance to the beach which we utilized, plus it comes with a golf cart to shuttle everything and everyone. Couldn’t of had a better time. Weather was overcast but that didn’t slow us down. Will definitely try to rent this spot again.
