Perfect House for Entertaining

We rented this home for our son’s wedding. It was a perfect location and room for friends & family to stop by before & after the wedding. I would definitely rent again. John was very responsive with any questions and allowing us to check in early.

Beautiful and historic

We were in the area for my daughter's wedding it was in Lancaster, KY. I wanted a house that all of our family could stay in before and after the wedding. This house And the property it is on, is AMAZING! If you like history and just need a huge place to be for a few days then this is for you. John was amazing it communication and for the most part the house was exactly what it said online. One thing I would maybe add to the listing would be that most of the beds if you are not a tall person you will need a stool to get up in the beds. We had to have everybody move rooms because my in-laws could not get into all

Awesome House!!

Great stay. Too short, though. The property met all of our needs with room to spare. The house is gorgeous! We were able to get a pic of my Mom with her grandchildren and great grand children. Great background. We wanted to linger a bit on our final morning. However, one of our group needed to try to beat Hurricane Ian in South Carolina. So we missed out on a leisurely last morning. You cant go wrong with this house. We looked up the history of The Clemens-Caldwell house. We loved it! We can not say enough good things.

Beautiful Home

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and brought 3 other couples. There was more than enough space for all of us. House is very well provisioned. The antique furniture was awesome. We would definitely stay here again.

Living in History!

This was a great house for our family! We had a full house with people from out of town and it never felt crowded. The elevator was the best for my mother who had a hard time navigating stairs and even though the floor level changes in many places, she never felt unsafe. Our host was great with my questions and eager to make sure we had what we needed. We would have liked to have more refrigerator space since we had so many people to feed but we made do. If you've ever driven by an old house/mansion and said "I'd love to stay in a house like that!" --this is your chance!

We had my daughter’s baby shower at the Clemens Caldwell House it was an amazing experience!

This property is absolutely beautiful! We all had a great time! All rooms are amazing! And I absolutely loved the very large kitchen and I could stay in there cooking all day long!! What a beautiful formal dinning room! All bedrooms are cozy had great nights sleep! All the antique furniture and decorations , original hardwood floors , and the amazing flowing staircase.. all I can say is BEAUTIFUL!!! I did not want to leave the house…. We all were ready to move in and stay forever!!! I really appreciate my stay and experience at the Clemens Caldwell House!! I plan on going back one day!! Everyone should get to experience this property!! Love, Donna

Huge house and property.

Perfect property for friends bourbon tour! House has tons of character. The home is much larger than the listing implies. The dinning and living rooms have 2 fireplaces each!!! Imagine staying in an 1800s estate mansion. Tons of antiques. Great location, private and near Danville with great food and history. Be aware this is an authentic house. It has updates like great heating system etc but it is not a quiet house. You will not be able to sneak up on anyone. If you are looking for new and modern (boring) this is probably not the house for you. I will definitely be bringing my wife back for a stay.
