This was a perfect fit for my adult son and I to get away. It is an older home so some wear and tear is to be expected. But it has been modernized in many ways that made it a comfortable place to call home for the week. Parking is very limited so if you are pulling a trailer consider parking at the ski resort. We made ours fit but it was cozy. Loved watching the deer come through in the mornings while sitting on the deck with my coffee.
Cabin was smaller than expected but worked for what we needed in the end. However it didn’t have air conditioning and was extremely hot! Wish we would have knew this before booking. We spent most of our time on the trails so only had to sleep here but was still hot. Not much room for parking either. Otherwise worked for what we needed.

We had an OK stay, but cleanliness was an issue
Great views and location. However, many areas available for improvement. When we arrived, floors and furniture were covered in dust. The floors were also dirty with such things as hair and an old, spilled liquid under the basement coffee table. The area underneath the beds have not been swept in a long time. The bathtub floor had numerous stains on it and the shower liner needed to be replaced as it was yellow and showed signs of mildew. There was also no dish soap to clean dishes. Not sure what the steep cleaning fee is for if the unit isn’t cleaned when new renters arrive to the property? Was also hard to enjoy our stay when almost everything we touched was caked in dust such as the couches and eating surfaces.
Basement TV had no DirecTV channels set up or available to watch. The remotes for both TVs weren’t very useful or functional outside of turning the machines on. Would also be nice to have screens on the doors as there were times we needed air flow due to the warm temperatures in the unit.
It was a beautiful location. The cabin was perfect size for the 4 of us. When we go there we had to do some cleaning as the floors were dirty and there was garbage left in the corners by furniture. Not a huge deal, but It’d be nice to have a can opener as a utensil there too, but appreciate the furniture of items that were there. Besides needing a good clean on the floors it was a pleasant nice stay. Would definitely recommend/ come back.
All was as the pictures shown. The staircase was a bit intimidating but we got use to it. Would have been great to have more toilet paper as we almost ran completely out. Toilets and bathroom sinks could have been cleaned better. Overall our stay was easy and good.
The house was nice but maybe not the ideal place when coming for Sturgis bike week. The house is about 40 minutes away from Sturgis and it’s a gravel road the last few blocks leading up to the house. If I knew ahead of time, I might have looked for a different place.
Beautiful cabin for a getaway. The place was clean, cute, and functional for our family stay. I wish there were more screens on sliding doors so we could get a better cross breeze as it was a bit hot without AC at 105 degrees, but the many fans helped a ton! We walked around the neighborhood with stunning sunset views and stars at night!
This cabin was perfect for our family trip! Overall the cabin was very clean however the hot tub had quite a bit of debris in it. Make sure to bring cups!! Also - don’t lean on the railing, it seemed pretty unstable. Other than that our stay was very pleasant.
Cabin was great...process of reserving was perfect. Only issue was on last night a group of 20-somethings in the house next door was overly loud. There is a noise ordinance so they were visited by authorities.
This cabin was so close to Terry Peak for skiing. Worked perfect for a family ski trip. The kids had fun in the hot tub. The downstairs was chilly in the cabin though. There was a wood biting stove but no wood... other then the downstairs temperature in the cabin, this place worked great for a family of 5 with young kids.
It was just what we needed. The kitchen is very small, but we had friends staying at another cabin down the street and were dining with them most evenings anyway. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of warm blankets. I was not able to find a cutting board and wished there were a few more wine glasses (there was only one stemless.) We got a kick out of the moose head!
Very nice place to stay. The stairs are a bit to maneuver so if there are any physical limitations I would not recommend. Overall a great place!

More hassle than what it was worth.
First, we were booked into the wrong property. The management company told us we actually got an "upgrade" without having to pay the extra price. The property we stayed at was Wind Haven. On the surface it looked nice, however, my daughter had a bedroom door that only had one hinge holding it on and would barely close; Hot tub had multiple broken issues - not real comfortable using it; multiple outside lights broken or not working; shower curtain supposed to be clear looked old yellow just gross; broken hooks in bathroom that were just left there; outside area overgrown and unwelcome. Overall I would not stay here again. I can't tell you about the property we originally booked because we were forced to stay at this property - last minute(night before we were supposed to be there), a property I had never heard of until then.

Loud neighbors, loud construction
I guess I did not ask the right questions before agreeing to rent this cabin. I was not aware that it was in development. There is construction all around and the whole stay was very noisy. Two out of the three nights the neighbors were very loud, hollering and partying until 3 in the morning.
I found a lot of dust, for example the vent in the bathroom was covered in dust. The bathtub did not drain very well at all causing it to be very slick. The hot tub filter was disgusting with black hair on it! It looked like from a head of hair. However he is bald and my hair is red. So I'm not for sure if the hot tub is actually getting clean like it should.
Our Wi-Fi password provided to us did not work it was not correct. I was told to look in the book of cabin information and try that password rather than the emailed one and it did not work either.
Spiral staircase was difficult to maneuver.
