Located just 60 minutes outside of Denver, Pine Cone Cabin is nestled in the mountains of Black Hawk, Colorado (near Nederland, Co) among beautiful aspens and national forests. The cabin sits on over an acre of land and features 2200 square feet of open-space living with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths (with laundry) and a fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of hiking, biking and other outdoor activities are readily accessible in the warmer months and skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and more, deliver reams of adventure in the winter! Hang out at some favorite restaurants in Nederland and Blackhawk, or try your luck at any one of the casinos in Blackhawk/Central City. Our 5 star ratings support our view that Pine Cone cabin is a wonderful place for family/friends to enjoy great times year round! We invite you come visit!

Tranquil, especially still and peaceful

The cabin sits prominently in the forest. It is fully stocked with required amenities, e.g., quality towels and linens, blankets, dinnerware, silverware, Keurig coffee maker, cooking spices, etc. It is spacious, cozy, warm, especially clean, no odors. My wife and I had the place to ourselves for a much-needed vacation/retreat to decompress and recharge. Coffee tasted even better as we sat in the sunroom taking in the snow. The deck outside the main bedroom receives the first beautiful rays of light as the sun peeks above the mountains and through the treetops. Nature is incomplete without the wildlife which we witnessed up close. Jan maintained communication with us before and during our visit and assured us handsomely. Unfortunately, the forecasted major winter storm convinced us non-snow types to depart earlier than planned and good thing we did considering the winter blast that arrived with heavy snow. We, though, fully enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the non-winter future.

Family Snow Vacation

We loved are cabin in the woods with snow all around us! This was the perfect place to stay for us! We went to winter park, golden, este park and a few other places near by and this was a great place in the middle! The cabin had everything we needed and more! We will be back! Winter Wonderland

We had an amazing stay in this warm and cozy cabin. We had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay while receiving over 20 inches of snow and -15 degree weather outside. We would stay here over and over again during all seasons. It’s a must for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle and relax!

Beautiful Mountain location

Well maintained and clean cabin was perfect for our family. Location is remote with beautiful mountain views. Quiet and peaceful place to relax. Cabin had everything we needed. The private lake was a beauiful place to sit and enjoy the view. Closest small towns had essentials if needed. Hiking trailheads within short driving distance. 45 minute drive to Idaho Springs for recreational activites, shopping and plenty of places to eat.

Wonderful Cabin

This cabin is an amazing place. It is very clean inside, well-constructed, incredibly comfortable, home-like with great personal touches all throughout, large enough to easily accomodate a couple of couples with children, or just a single person looking for a quiet place to rest and/or work. The cabin is nestled in the mountains, in a very quiet area, close enough to other cabins not to be isolated but far enough away to have privacy. The host is very friendly and available for any needs/concerns. A playhouse and swing set is on the property for small children. A great deck off the master bedroom is perfect for breakfast in the morning, or any other time of day. Great gas grill there for cooking. Fully stocked kitchen to easily prepare all food if needed. Dirt roads around the cabin for walking/running, with access to a local, private pond for fishing. Great wi-fi access, with multiple TVs for entertainment/work. A truly beautiful and tranquil place to rest and enjoy with family and friends, or alone. Within 10-20 minutes driving distance of a small city with restaurants/bars/grocery store if needed. So grateful to have been able to spend a week there. And grateful to our host who made staying there easy.

Peaceful mountain paradise at 9000 ft!

This property was one of the coziest mountain cabins I’ve stayed at, with a beautiful sun room, high quality amenities, wildlife running about the property, and great host communication. I highly recommend this place, as it served us well for our summer CO trip (super close to a bunch of great hiking)

Pine one cabin was fantastic! Great location and wonderful accommodations. We had family from another rental property over for dinners and there was room for everyone to spread out and gather as well. Very peaceful and comfortable!

Great getaway spot

You have a lovely cabin in a fairly remote setting. The little town of Nederland is a nice spot for groceries, food and some shopping. The drive thru Boulder a canyon is delightful.

Beautiful house, view and location. Was able to take nice long walks in the morning perfect driving distance to pretty much anywhere. Met a family member and his son cutting down trees and super nice people. House host Amber great and quick to reply to texts about the locations. Highly recommend we will be back. We are from Kansas, son got married in Boulder over the weekend.

As the owners of Pine Cone Cabin, Colorado has been home to us for over 35 years and we are still in awe of its beauty especially the mountains, lakes and national forests. Our passion for the outdoors led us to Pine Cone Cabin seven years ago. We love to get away to the mountains to hike, bike, ski, snowshoe or simply enjoy nature and we couldn't have found a more perfect place to experience each season than the cabin. Its location allows an easy commute from Denver and provides so many opportunities for activities close by. Coming home to the cabin that is spacious, tranquil and cozy enables us to relax and enjoy our family and friends. As it has been such a wonderful experience for us, we'd like to share it with you! We'd love for you to experience the beauty and coziness of our 2200 square foot, ranch-style cabin located in the mountains of Black Hawk, Colorado. The property sits on over an acre of wooded property and includes a tree house, bunk house, playground area, seasonal fire pit patio and covered patio with grill. Located just 12 minutes from Nederland you can enjoy plenty of skiing, gift shops, restaurants, music & more. And just15 minutes from Black Hawk/Central City enjoy the casinos where crab legs are served daily! Within walking and/or driving distance there is nearby access to endless trails and National forests for hiking, biking and snowshoeing. Down the road in Clear creek there is rafting, mountain climbing and more! Or try your hand at fishing. We are happy to share our badges to fish and picnic at the neighborhood private lake. The area has much to offer! With so much beauty and comfortable temperatures in the summer and lots of snow in the winter, time spent at Pine Cone Cabin is an experience not to miss. Bring family/friends and stay a while!

The property is surrounded by national forests enabling easy access to loads of hiking, biking and snowshoeing trails. The cabin is located just a short distance from the town of Nederland that is known for outdoor sports especially skiing, music, eateries and its absolute picturesque scenery. Or head 15 minutes south to the town of Black Hawk/Central City where the backdrops are beautiful and gambling hotels/houses are plentiful. There is no shortage of activities and scenic vistas to explore!
