Charming 2 BR home by Emerson Park & Gardens - UL, Downtown, Shopping and Eats
Discover the Charming 2 Bedroom Home by BNB Louisville: Welcome to our home in the wonderful neighborhood of Schnitzelburg. This charming updated 2 bedroom 2 bath home is just minutes from Downtown, U of L, the Highlands, and the Airport. Germantown/Schnitzelburg is not only centrally located but also perhaps the most sustainable in Louisville. Walk (or bike) to numerous restaurants, bars, grocery store all close by. Relax on the porch or stroll Emerson park gardens and truly soak in the sense of community this historic and unique town has to offer.
Our home features the original hardwood flooring, transom windows, raised ceilings/doorways with most of the original trim-work. We’ve added on the master spa bathroom featuring heated floors and towel rack and large modern glass enclosed shower. All super high end.
The master bedroom is spacious with plenty of drawer and closet space to make yourself at home. Luxury linens and comfy bedding too.
And in the second bedroom - a surprise queen Murphy bed that folds away to transform the space into a yoga retreat or bonus work space as needed.
An added bonus for guests is in the kitchen - we have lots of gadgets and several coffee/tea making devices to suit your preference. We even provide a Nespresso for you so feel free to indulge.
One of the best features is the location just in front of Emerson Park (and Community Garden). This was the site of a former school house transformed into a community space. We have since given up our plot in the garden but feel free to wander about or sit and enjoy the green space. Many of our neighbors have plots there and it truly brings to life the meaning of community gardening.

This home has is in a great location, very comfortable and stocked very well. The kitchen set-up and coffee were exactly what we needed! I would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at this property and found the communication from the property manager's good. They were able to help us when we had a date issue, even though there were not obligated to do so. The weather was dreary during our stay, but it was a fine place to be. We could not explore the neighborhood much with the rain, but it served our needs well.
I’ve now utilized this home twice during our trips to Louisville!! It’s less than 10 minutes from KY Fair & Expo & is in an adorable neighborhood. Home is well equipped & very clean!! Parking is limited if You have more than 1 vehicle. Just reserve it!! You’ll be glad You did!!
My partner and I once owned a property just a few blocks from this home. It feels good to go "home" and see the upkeep and vitality of the housing and neighborhood. This property met all our needs with the subtle touches of Louisville and Kentucky flare highlighted for the out of town visitor. The area is safe for walking and surrounded by gardens, parks and food options that negate having to have a car. It is close to downtown and other vital neighborhoods. The spa like amenities in the bath and kitchen made the stay a relaxing one.
We were in town for a basketball tournament and the house was perfect. Great location and offered everything we needed. Communication was great and checkin/out was easy.
This house was exactly what we were looking for! Clean, get location, and easy check-in and Check- out. The house was close to everything including walking distance to Preston park, resultants, and brewery’s. Quite neighborhood with friendly neighbors! I would definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip to Louisville!
Wonderful place, great stay for my partner and me with our two small dogs!
I almost hesitate to share this, as I’d like the place to be available the next time I’m in town, but this is a fabulous rental! Clean, well-appointed kitchen, attractively decorated, comfortable, backyard for our pups, walkable neighborhood, good communication with host, protective neighbors to ensure feeling safe, outdoor space to sit with coffee or a drink, close to Louisville entertainment. We hope to return!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped and located in a charming, walkable neighborhood. The property manager was communicative and helpful.
This was a great place to stay. Very well supplied and very clean. The location is outstanding. Everything is close and numerous local restaurants within a mile radius. I highly recommend.
This house was located in a good spot to easily access the Louisville area. It was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes and little amenities like coffee, tea, dishwasher and laundry soft, etc. The place was very clean and cozy. The street parking can be a little tight, but overall this place was great. I would definitely stay there again!
Quaint, cozy, very clean, in an eclectic part of town. Feels like home away from home. Check out the bunnies in the garden behind the house or beer at the brewery around the corner- something for everyone.
A very charming house and neighborhood! The little park that is literally right next door was perfect for walking my dogs. Everything in the house was clean and up to date
Cute little shotgun house in the Germantown neighborhood steps from Emerson Park. The hosts were wonderful, the check-in process was easy, and the house was perfect for my parents and me. Updated interior, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and very nice neighbors! The location is close to downtown and convenient to most anywhere else you'd like to go via Eastern Parkway. Great value for the money. We'll definitely stay again when we visit family who live nearby.

Nice place but only 1 shower
The house is nice and clean. It is within walking distance of a few restaurants. However, the house is listed as 2br/2ba. The guest bathroom does not have a working shower. It has a sink, toilet, and bathtub only. The shower does not work. I never heard back from the realtor when I emailed about it. Otherwise, the house is nice and is as explained in the listing.
One of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was labeled, especially light switches, which was incredibly handy. The place was spacious. I also enjoyed the fenced in backyard. The master bathroom was my absolute favorite. Heated floors and huge shower jet assembly. I also have never stayed in a place that was so well stocked with appliances, cookware, and coffee/tea selections.
A perfect property for a long weekend friend-cation in Louisville. The house is comfortable and quiet with thoughtful amenities. The master bedroom's en suite bathroom with waterfall/jet wall shower and washer/dryer was delightful. Kitchen was great to use as well. Location felt safe and perfect for exploring the Olmstead Parks, NuLu, and other Louisville points of interest. We had a better time on this trip because of our rental choice. The hosts were proactive and clear at check-in and check-out.
My husband, pup and I truly enjoyed our weekend stay. The house is very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Willow also enjoyed her walks at the neighborhood park!
My family stayed here to attend a concert at Yum! Stadium. A pleasant surprise when leaving the concert was that all of the stadium traffic was headed in the opposite direction so going in and out of the event was a short and consistent 8 minute drive. The house was very clean and as described. Nice front and back porch foe nicer days and great shower in the master. Beds were comfortable. Great communication from owners. Loved the neighborhood (felt safe) - walking distance to a couple bars, restaurant, and coffee shop. Green space/small park as well. We also visited the Louisville zoo which was also a very short drive away.

Cleanliness
The washer had mold in it. The beds are horrible. The sofa needs to be replaced. It’s very uncomfortable. The pictures show two red chairs in living area yet they were not there so photos should be updated. The sheets on the Murphy bed were not clean!! The house is in a great location. I am in property management and someone should be following up on the cleaning of this unit. There is no tv in the master. The internet is extremely SLOOOOW! Yet, you are to use the TV to stream. So watching tv in downtime is a no go! Watching tv in the master is a no go because there is not one. There is a mount for a tv yet no tv. There is construction going on across the street so banging all day. Some guy came up and said he was supposed to get the mail for the owner. So, I am assuming the owners live here by all of their clothes being present and rent the property and go stay somewhere else when rented. My mom said her pillows smelled horrible like dirty hair or sweat. Not Impressed at ALL!
