Had a short stay for PSU game and it worked out perfectly. House is large enough for all the guest and very clean. They response time was great and tire all had a great weekend
This property is fantastic and in a great location. The house is well kept and the surrounding property is beautiful. The inside of the home is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. There are 2.5 bathrooms and they are adequate for a larger crowd. Communication with the owner was super simple and he is very nice. My family loved our stay and would love to visit again in the future!
We had a great time at the river house. Beautiful setting on the river, plenty of space, and lots to do. The covered outdoors area, fire pit, grill, pickleball / shuffle board court, and wide open back yard made it easy to spend most of our time having fun outside. Definitely recommend!
Great spot to stay, very convenient location to wedding venue. Enjoyed the back porch and kitchen to visit. Bedroom setup was perfect for our multi/family stay (3 couples, 1 young child). 2 1/2 baths worked well too.
Elvin’s communication was just fine!
This was our second time staying. Our weather was 100% better and we got to enjoy the entire property this time. The addition of the cement area for shuffle board, pickle ball, and bags was a fantastic surprise. The host is great at communicating, highly recommend!!
Nice property. Great location for a weekend of racing at the speed palace. Size of the house allowed us to spread out and offered plenty of sleeping options. Would definitely stay again.
The property was beautiful and it was interesting to stay in a home with so much history. The interior had a problem with black flies in the kitchen and the upstairs bathrooms felt very dated. The location was perfect for a family wedding.
We've been coming to the Juniata River on vacation with our family for almost 30 years. This year we had 4 generations altogether!! The house was perfect! Gave us room to spread out when we wanted to, lots of activities to keep us busy, and privacy upstairs when we needed it!! The river was low, but fishing was still good. We'll definitely be back.
We stayed here for our nieces wedding. There were 3 families traveling from Florida. There were plenty of beds and rooms. It was very warm in PA and only AC downstairs. Only 1 bedroom had a working fan so sleeping was a little hot; hard for kids! The owners were available to assist us with a few questions. The furniture was very dated and I have a terrible allergy to dust so the older couches were not a good place for me. The back yard was beautiful leading down to the river. My grandson was in his glory looking for bugs and fish. We enjoyed our family time and it was a quick drive to Juanita Winery where the wedding was. It’s beautiful in this park of PA!
We had a wonderful stay at Elvin’s place. We had a small wedding ceremony and reception. Elvin was quick and responsive from the very beginning. The house is just as pictured and the views are even more beautiful in person. We are looking forward to being able to celebrate our wedding anniversary there hopefully for years to come!
We rented this to stay for the weekend. My daughter was married at the winery. This place was amazing. Anything we could have wanted, lots of space indoor and out, 3 refrigerators, folding tables and chairs, Cornhole and lots more. It was a great place for family friends and fellowship. Owner was super responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend if you are looking for quality time with family and friends
Our family had a lovely stay at the farmhouse! It is close enough to necessities (groceries, gas, dollar store, liquor store, fast food), but tucked away in nature.
Some bees and newly spread manure kept us from spending extended periods outside at first, and even though it rained there was plenty of covered outdoor and indoor activities and spaces to congregate.
The train goes by frequently but we got used to is.
Overall lovely home and we absolutely will be back with friends!
A group of men for our church gathered from Wednesday to Sunday to watch the NCAA National Wrestling Championships. Everything was spotless. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of dishes, chairs, tables, etc. I was concerned that the wifi would not be fast enough for our viewing; but it was more than adequate. The owner stopped part way through our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. It is a peaceful setting. I would consider staying there again.
We stayed with friends and our kids. Great place! Cool old farm house right on the river. The grocery store is right near by and there was plenty to do for the kids inside the house. Thanks for the great stay!
Very peaceful and relaxing.
Great kitchen, home was very clean.
This was my first time renting a home.
I would rent it again in the future.
Great place for a wedding, family reunion or just a vacation.
