Jake and Christine were very gracious and accommodating hosts. The food was delicious and would highly recommend staying there. Jake gave us a tour of his working farm and explained what his goals were for the future of the farm.
The whole experience was Fantastic. The communication before we arrived with the owner Jake made everything that much better. He welcomed us into his home like we were part of the family . His wife Christine made us an awesome breakfast. The waffles were out of this world. The beds were comfy and the rooms were quiet. Would definitely recommend and would stay again on future trips.
Incredible,Historic B &B, Great Restaurant, Authentic Experience
My 2 daughters and Brother were looking for a place to stay in Edgefield South Carolina while attending the 2021-2022 SCYSF SPORTING CLAY TOURNAMENT SERIES at the Palmetto Shooting Complex in Edgefield. We contacted the owner of the Bed and Breakfast and were so excited to learn that this beautiful farmhouse was located close to the complex. We also learned that we would be their first guests! The owners, Christine and Jake Smith operate a farm, a Bed and Breakfast and a restaurant - Christine's Farm to Fork (restaurant) in Edgefield South Carolina. The accommodations were superb- the hospitality was stupendous and the setting- a beautiful farmhouse on 130 acres was magnificent! We arrived on Friday, checked ourselves in , and proceeded to the restaurant for dinner .The menu, decor and service was 5 star. The prices were reasonable, and the food was perfect! The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Christine and her family have a passion for locally sourced food, are servants of their community, and welcome travelers to their home as if they were family.
If you love the outdoors, the environment, meeting new people and authentic experiences- this place is for you!
