Disappointing Switch
The night before my stay, I still had not received check-in information. I was given the hostess's number, so I called her. She told me this place was not available. Since I had no time to ask for a refund and cancel, she offered another stay at an apartment in Polanco on Lamartine 248 for the same price. I agreed to it based on the pictures she sent me. The place was filthy. When we got there, there were no towels, toilet paper or soap. I contacted the hostess, and she had these sent to the apartment. The towels were raggedy and ripped, and there is no place to hang the towels or toilet paper in one of the bathrooms. The comforter in one of the bedrooms was stained and dirty, the couch is stained, there was a puddle of water under the glass on the dining room table, the apartment is very noisy. You can hear everything going on in the other apartments. Piano lessons, conversations and intimate moments. The internet was spotty. You really could only access it in the living room. Once in the bedrooms, there was no access at all. Overall it was not a pleasant stay. We only kept it because we were very busy and had no time to find another accommodation.
