We loved the location it’s a beautiful home. Lots of space. We will definitely be booking again. Only thing I will say is if you’re coming in at night. It’s ever easy to miss could use a some lights. We are already planning our next stay
We stayed over a long weekend at the cabin and had a great time. Plenty of area to explore and the creek behind the house was gorgeous. The hot tub was awesome. Inside the cabin was great, beautifully decorated, nice appliances and cabinets etc. The gas fireplace along with the AC unit kept the whole house warm when it was 14 degrees outside. Only downside was the couch, definitely worn out and needs replacing. Also if traveling from Boone to the cabin and there is heavy snow, 4WD or AWD is recommended to make it up a slope along the way. Overall I would definitely recommend this cabin and look forward to staying here in the future.
Beautiful property and area! Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of land for the dogs to run. Kids enjoyed the creek and exploring around the property. They have a tankless water heater, which means never running out of hot water from showers. Satellite TV is nice, and the internet works good. Gas fireplace is a push button and is probably the easiest fireplace I’ve ever used. Cabin has just about everything you need. Our ONLY negative is that the couch is a couch bed and not very comfortable, but the rocker was nice.
This place is a real retreat. Nestled in a deep valley near Boone, it is a peaceful place. The cabin looks brand new and everything worked well. Love the gas fireplace! Beds were comfortable and furniture comfortable. I will return!
This is a beautiful and well appointed cabin with everything you need for a great stay. Dog friendly and there is a lot of space for them to roam. Will look to come back in the future, hopefully for longer than a weekend next time!
We loved everything about this cabin! The property was gorgeous and the cabin was fully stocked with everything you could ever need. Can’t wait to go back!
This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. Beautiful, quiet property. The cabin offers everything you need and more. We will be back next Fall!
Beautiful location in the mountains with the creek feet away from the house. The house was very well equipped and the host had great communication. Perfect weekend.
This cabin and owner are amazing! We were staying here when Hurricane Helene hit. Bill drove from FL to make sure we were ok. Honest we will definitely rent here again. Thank you for all you did to ensure we were safe and sound! Your property is beautiful and Elk Creek will have a lasting memory on us.
Wonderful cabin along a stream. Living room furniture was worn and uncomfortable however with the hurricane damage it may not be an issue. It breaks our heart to think that this beautiful area sustained so much trauma and damage.
The cabin is located on a private drive with 3 other cabins. The satellite based internet is capable of streaming on the TVs and phones. The speed of the internet is pretty good as long as the satellite dish is not obstructed. The creek out back was great and our dogs loved playing in the water. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get into town on the long winding road. Overall, this cabin is well worth the time to spend inside or travel around the mountains.
We love Deep Gap and were delighted to find this cabin! It’s on beautiful property, decorated nicely, spacious, clean plus had all the amenities of home. We loved the privacy, large yard, stream for fishing and the hot tub on the porch! Looking forward to coming back!
