My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barry's. The unit is very comfortable and has everything a person needs to kick back and relax.
Barry provided more than enough treats, tea, coffee, yogurt, fruit, etc for our 4 nights.
I particularly like the outdoor balconies and the fact it backs onto the trees. I would highly recommend this accommodation:)
Fantastic property, great location, accommodating hosts. We've stayed in a lot of VRBO properties, this is the most thoughtfully provisioned. An abundance of local products, interesting reading material, helpful information, a park pass, Barry and Nicole have thought of everything - plus some. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean - loved everything about it!
Staying at Barry and Nicole’s was one of the best experiences we’ve had staying at a rental. Here’s what we loved:The privacy of the suite, view of the woods, and warm radiant heat floors created the feeling of a sanctuary. After walks, hikes, and exploring all day, we looked forward to returning each evening to relax and unwind. The neighborhood has many different walking trails — it was nice to be able to take our dogs on morning walks without having to drive anywhere. The breakfast items offered were a real treat — such as wide variety of choices! Also, the coffee set-up was ideal… Keurig for convenience and an Aeropress for making the most of the beans! The suite was very clean and decorated in a lovely and thoughtful manner. There’s touches of heart and humor and opportunities to learn about the adventurous lives of our hosts. Great selection of books and games, nice cozy blankets. We also loved the local soap and environmentally friendly cleaning products. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything about this property was amazing from being met by Barry, who was always easy to contact, to the thoughtfulness that went into the supplies that were included. A wide variety and supply of breakfast items including fresh fruit, yogurt, jams, coffee, condiments and the list goes on. The king bed was amazing and cozy. The condo is within easy walking distance of many paths and a longer trek into Canmore which has a large variety of shops and pubs. On a personal note, standard cable would have been nice, but that's just us.
Lots of good things about this place! Great location with easy access to trails in the neighbourhood. Nice setup with walkout entry / treed view so really didn’t feel like basement suite (and infloor heating kept it nice & warm). And best of all, great variety of breakfast cereals / snacks / fruit (better than we brought from home!). Wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to being to visit again!
We rented Barry and Nicole's space and were totally pleased with all aspects of their rental. It was very close to downtown Canmore with all its amenities of shopping, pubs etc. The rental unit was supplied with a large variety of essential breakfast niceties such as fruit, milk, juice and yogurt. On a personal note, the only thing missing was basic cable with access to local news etc. However, Netflix was made available to renters. Otherwise, we would highly recommend booking a stay. Barry and Nicole were very easy to access with offers of replacing any of the food sources that we may have run out of.
In the last decade of staying at vacation rentals, never have I experienced a place that felt perfectly like a home away from home.
There was amazing breakfast supplies, including fresh bread, fruit, and many others . Barry texted intermittently to see if we needed resupply. We felt really cared for.
The place was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The entrance was private. Seating was comfortable and abundant. Shower was great. The abundance of outlets and wifi made working easy. Everything was so great down to tiny details that it felt dissonant to encounter an astoundingly ineffective toilet plunger the one time we needed to use it.
The only real con was the incomplete checkin instructions email that VRBO sent beforehand. E.g., it didn't include the code to get in, or that the entrance was down around back. We were fortunate that Barry met us at the front as we drove up and shared those details with us.
That glitch paled in comparison to how wonderful the overall experience of staying with Barry and Nicole was. We highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean, comfortable and we got more than we expected. It is a great location for exploring the Canadian Rockies. Barry is a wonderful host!
Eagle Terrace was the perfect location from which to explore Banff and the surrounding area. Canmore is also a great town and offers everything you could want. The property was clean and beautifully decorated. Barry and Nicole were fantastic hosts and very thoughtful providing delicious locally sourced food, healthy snacks including fresh fruit and the largest assortment of organic tea I have ever seen. Happy trails!

Large bed room and living area, on one morning elk were right by the window
Wonderful neighborhood close to all that Canmore offers, beautiful home and perfect lower-level space to call home for a stay. Comfortable in all ways with plenty of space to hang ski gear after a day on the slopes. Very well stocked with tasty local foods for breakfast and teas for afternoon sipping. Hope to be back!!
