The Best Kept Secret on the Beach!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to scroll down to find us, or we wouldn't be the best kept secret on the beach!! Our reviews are testimony to that. We hope that you will come and stay with us and join our family. Most of our guests return yearly to visit and we look forward to seeing them again.

We have been with VRBO for over 10 years now, through the ups and downs and changes in their system. Please feel free to inquire and ask questions before making your reservation. We will try to accommodate any requests you may have.

We may not be directly on the beach but we're only 200 steps from it. Our ground floor location makes it easy to grab your gear and go.
Cape Canaveral is like a little bit of old Florida. It is mostly residential and has a neighborhood feel to it. There are older homes and newer Condo's. The lifestyle is very relaxed and casual. For those of you who prefer not to deal with elevators, parking passes, and 'Condo Rules', this is the ideal place for you. Right outside your front door are chairs and a table for your morning coffee. Read the paper and enjoy the people going by - walking, jogging, or riding bicycles. The City of Cape Canaveral just put in a bike path that runs right by our place and the pedestrian sidewalk is right across the street. You'll also see many people walking their dogs as our neighborhood is very pet friendly.

This spacious 2 bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of a lovingly renovated older home. It is ideal for anyone that has problems with stairs, and has a front and back entrance so unpacking the car and taking in groceries is easy. The living room is an open floor plan to the kitchen and dining area which seats 6 comfortably. Vinyl wood flooring throughout with the exception of carpet in the bedrooms.

It also has the added bonus of a Den with sliding glass doors which open to a small and private patio. The Den is furnished with a desk for your laptop hookup, a bookcase with games and books, a stereo for your enjoyment and a reading chair. If you would prefer something smaller in size, please ask me about my 1 bedroom unit.

Around the side of the house is an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand from you, the beach chairs and umbrella after returning from the beach. You'll also find the BBQ grill and maybe some charcoal and lighter fluid right outside your back door.

There are beach chairs, boogie boards, a cooler and an umbrella which you are free to take down to the beach. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it. If you're lucky you might just see a rocket launch.

Great beach vacation

Beautiful home steps from the beach, this is our second time in the apartment and We'll definitely be back next year, we love it here the home have everything you need, full stocked kitchen, towels, grill, laundry, beach accessories and more. Restaurants, supermarket and shops a few minutes away. If you planning a nice and relaxing beach vacation book this property and have a great time like we did. Our Special Place!

This was our 2nd time staying at Scott and Kathleens' beach house. This 2 bedroom apt was so roomy and comfortable. They never forget any detail, and everything is there, and they are there if you need them, I love staying there. We ride our bikes( and they have bikes for you to ride too) there and its so easy to get around. We will use this place again and again. You can not go wrong staying here. Thanks Kathy and Scott!

Our favorite place!

We enjoyed another relaxing week in the delightful beach house - our favorite place! The pictures don't do it justice. As usual, Kathy had thought of everything one could possibly need - regardless of preferences or weather. The weather was perfect with soft, warm breezes wafting through the open windows - while folks at home were coping with cold and snow. We highly recommend!

Great Experience!!!!

We recently stayed for a month and loved the location and accommodations. I cannot say enough good things about Kathy and Scott. We had 4 people staying (three adults and one child).They were very responsive, friendly and certainly took care of everything we needed. This was our first experience staying by the beach, and one we will never forget thanks to Scott and Kathy. Our grandson wanted to stay here instead of the house we were building. Loved it!

Spacious, clean and comfortable surroundings await the next fortunate person to rent this apartment. There’s a well-stocked kitchen with seasonings and condiments to satisfy every need, comfortable beds, an office, and even a washer and dryer a few steps out the back door. Kathy and Scott have thought of everything to make one’s stay enjoyable, and they are very responsive and available. There’s a lovely and private backyard and patio, and we really have appreciated the first floor living with our car right outside the door. There’s no need to stay in a noisy, crowded complex when this quiet place, within one block of the ocean, is available. My husband and I would recommend this rental to anyone!

Great Place!

What a great place to stay. Although we went down to Florida to see the final launch of the space shuttle discovery (which never took place!), we really enjoyed our stay. Jake, the dog, particularly liked the dog Spunky, next door! The apartment is spacious and really comfortable. Since I am in the middle of settling an estate, the wireless internet connection was a good thing to have and came in handy. After being 3 days in Charleston, it was a welcome site to have a full kitchen to prepare meals - which I love to do! Kathy left a wonderful "sand bucket" as a welcome present with snacks and her delicious key lime bread. Have to get the recipe! We definitely plan on going back!

Stellar Rental on the Space Coast

I could not ask for anything more! The house is clean, comfortable, and full of amenities including fast, reliable Internet, TVs in all the rooms, and a well- stocked kitchen. The owner is extremely nice and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and feel welcome. Any issues with the house were immediately taken care of. Beautiful Cocoa Beach is right across the street, and it is the perfect location to see one of the frequent SpaceX rocket launches. I would definitely recommend this rental.

You Won’t Be Disappointed! Sunrises and Moonrise’s are Spectacular.

The owners have thought of everything. Need only to bring your clothes and toothbrush. In a great location, walking distance to the beach, shopping nearby, many restaurants as well. People in the neighborhood are friendly and very nice. If you’re a cook the kitchen has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. Walk in shower is a nice touch. On sight laundry room was a bonus. The owners are easy to work with and really care that you are comfortable. Hope to return. Very nice relaxing experience.

Great find!

The property owner Kathleen was great- she is friendly and went above and beyond to provide everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. I loved the fact that there is an office in the home and fast WiFi, which allowed me to work remotely while I was there, and a peaceful area to sit in the back with an awning for shade. The kitchen is large and the furniture, including the beds, is comfortable. The beach really is only 200 steps away, and is spectacular. I definitely feel this house was worth the money and would stay here again.

Perfect Family Beach House

Our family of 5 stayed here for a month while moving to the area and waiting for our housing. I honestly was so sad to leave! The house is clean, and has anything you might need for cooking, laundry, leisure and beach time. The decor is cute and everything is beach themed! My kids loved having the little tv in the bedroom. The kitchen has everything (waffle iron, blender, cake pans, sauce pans and more!) The beach is so close and it’s located at a beautiful spot on the beach that is away from the crowds at cocoa beach but still right near everything. My kids loved the nearby playground. We had an amazing view of a rocket launch from the beach so close to the house that we just walked over about 5 min before. The fireworks for 4th of July were fun too! It was a wonderful time and our family is so grateful to have stayed at this special place.

A perfect vacation

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our month at this condo. Everything was perfect, from the well stocked kitchen to the well stocked bathroom. If you forgot something, Kathy had more than likely anticipated it & had it waiting for you. With 3 kids with multiple food allergies, I cook all our meals, and usually when we rent condos I have to get creative with the pots/pans situation, but I truly had everything I needed to prepare delicious, healthy meals for my family. The condo is spacious, we all had room to spread out & never once felt cramped, and comfortable. I liked that it had a decent sized kitchen table w/ room for us to all fit comfortably around. It’s a silly thing - but so many times we’ll rent a condo that says its for 5-6, but you can only fit 4 around the kitchen table, leaving someone to sit somewhere other than around the table with the family. The outside shower/hose was nice to rinse off the sand before going into the condo. The walk to the beach is short, shorter than some beach front condos we’ve stayed at in the past, and easy. But if you want to drive, there’s usually ample parking at the free spots by the beach. All in all, it was an amazing vacation, and we’re already planning to go back next year.

We had an amazing time!

This house is literally just steps to the beach. We were able to walk out the front door, pick up our beach chair and walk down to the beach. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We were easily able to cook for and serve our family of six. I really appreciated the key lime bread that Kathy left as a welcoming gift for us and the kids enjoyed the snacks she left. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return to this home.

Great place to stay at the beach and still enjoy Disney.

Kathy was so helpful she met us with a wonderful welcome basket which was nice because we just drove 10 hours and were exhausted. She gave us a tour and left us to relax. It's a very nicely decorated home and very convenient to the beach and a short drive to Disney so we got the best of both worlds. We will definitely stay again.

A Beautiful and Perfect Vacation Home!

I highly recommend this vacation home. It's a beautiful home, in great condition, and has everything you would need (and extras). We flew in, so we were not able to bring the usual paper products, kitchen and bath supplies. That wasn't a problem at all, as Kathy had stocked the house with all of this. Great care has been taken to provide the best vacation experience. The location is a short walk down one block to the beach. The beach is very private and family oriented. We had very peaceful days relaxing on the beach. Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach Pier are only a mile and a half in either direction. The port has cruise ships, great seafood restaurants and markets. We were lucky enough to see a rocket launch right from the beach! The pier's new tiki bar (and restaurants) are great to hang out and watch the ocean in the evening. The owners are wonderful and make you feel at home. We would have loved to stay longer. Kathy and Scott, It was a pleasure to meet you both. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was a perfect vacation. We will definitely be back. 🙂

Everything and more!

Not sure I can write a review that will do Kathy or the rental justice. Even under the weather, Kathy directed us to the apartment and had delicious key lime bread and snacks waiting! In every step of the process, Kathy accommodated us and made everything easy. I can’t thank her enough. As for the apartment, it was impeccable. The study tops it off! There are no surprises and even better than described. The fully stocked kitchen has it all and we even had steaks one night grilled up on the Weber. The bathroom is also stocked with everything needed in case a personal effect is forgotten and then it has even more for any situation. We even took advantage of the washer and dryer, as there is nothing better than coming home with clean clothes! Kathy has thought of all the little touches to make the stay special. We especially liked the fishing cart to carry her beach chairs and our refreshments to the beach, even though the walk is ONE whole block! And speaking of location, it can’t be beat. The neighbors are friendly and hit up Friday Fest, just several blocks away, if you have the chance! The restaurants of the Port are less than a 10 minute drive and the pier, about a mile and a half away, can be walked to in about 30 minutes, with a short cab ride back. There are also other restaurants even closer in the neighborhood within walking distance. The Kennedy Space Center is about a 30 minute drive, and Disney and Universal are an easy 1 hour drive. (All visited and enjoyed!) I recommend this rental for everyone and may not leave after my next stay! Again, a special thanks to Kathy who really made a special trip unforgettable. - Tim

Fantastic!

Superb place to stay! Met by Kathy's husband, he showed us round and presented us with a gorgeous home made cake and overall was very welcoming. The property is immaculate both in cleanliness and in furnishings. Huge comfortable master bed with really lovely bedding. Our son was in an equally well thought out bedroom . He loved the cool surf designer bedding in his room and Kathy took the time and thought, to leave him an age- appropriate welcome pack which he loved. There are extras galore in this property to the point that if you've forgotten anything I am sure Kathy has it covered. There are too many details to list but lots of thought and care had gone into the preparation for our stay. Not only do Kathy and Scott take the utmost pride in their property they also treat their visitors as individuals and make them feel very welcome. This property is only a hop skip and a jump to the beach however we mainly used it as a base to visit The Kennedy Space Centre which was perfect. The outside shower along with the washing machine and tumble dryer were also very useful . We stayed in various rental properties during our three week stay in Florida and although this was by no means the most expensive, it was by far the best. Book this property if you can.

Excellent!

This place was great! Kathy keeps the place very well maintained and it was very clean, well appointed and a short walk to the beach. Half way between all the seafood restaurants in Port Canaveral and the pier at cocoa beach. Kathy met us there and showed us around. Her key line bread was delicious! We got lucky and the cleaning service allowed us to stay a few hours past check out while they cleaned a few other places. Could not have asked for a better stay!

Spacious. Clean. Everything you need.

What a wonderful place. It was spacious and it had everything there. No need to run out for salt and pepper or the shampoo you left at home. It was all there! I loved that there was a washing machine available to use, the outdoor shower to clean those dirty feet was also perfect. I highly recommend this apartment and Kathleen is a wonderful host. Also Cape Canaveral is a perfect place to kick back and relax or to discover what amazing natural treasures Florida has to offer! Loved it and highly recommend it for families!

Great family getaway

My husband and I are 'semi-natives' who live and work in Orlando. We both moved down to Florida from up north over 30 years ago. Having a second home so close makes weekends at the beach a reality for us.
We are also self proclaimed "Space Babies" and are so happy that the space program started up again. The thrill of a launch never gets old and is exciting the 100th time as it was the first!! They are launching sometimes twice a week now so it's easy to catch one while you're here.

Why they chose this property

We found ourselves spending more and more weekends at the beach and finally decided to invest in something more than a Hotel Room!!! Because we are not 'Condo' people, we chose this 4 Unit apartment building. We decided to keep one Unit for our 'get-a-away' and rent out the other three. So far, we've weathered Hurricanes, the stock market and the economy. (There was a reason the Government chose Cape Canaveral for it's Space Center!!!) Cape Canaveral offered a laid back lifestyle, a quiet beach, and friendly neighbors. It truly is a wonderful lifestyle.

What makes this property unique

The unit is located on the ground floor with front and rear access making it easy for children and pets.
We pride ourselves on the personal care we give each guest and will go out of our way to do all possible to make sure you have an enjoyable visit. You will never receive this attention to detail in a hotel, or a place taken care of by a property management company which makes us truly unique.
