Beautiful home but terrible management

I rented the location for purpose of having a central location for a small family meeting. I rented the first night so I could have the home first thing the next morning. When I arrived the smoke detector was beeping. I immediately notified the property management company as I was unable to resolve on my own (vaulted ceilings). No one came to correct the issue, and the company never provided updates. I contacted them every 4-6 hours for updates, but only received “we have no updates at this time.” I did not stay the second night because of the noise. After 48 hours, I still had not received an update or fix. So, I rented the home for 3 nights, never stayed overnight, first day was restricted to the porch only due to the noise that was never corrected.

Vacation

Was unable to adjust thermostat because owner has it pre set. We were very cold during our stay. Was unaware there were no trash bags there for we had to go buy some. Agreement asks us to strip beds before leaving and start laundry. I thought this a was a unique request

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This was the worst renting experience I’ve ever had. I was booking a short mountain get away to sit by a fire and relax. The moment I got there I noticed the fireplace wasn’t working and reported to the property manager. They first told me the fireplace was not an amenity then only after I showed them the ad specifically said gas fireplace they said they would talk to the local manager. Nothing ever came of this even though I asked multiple times and every time it was like starting the whole process over. They have absolutely no desire to help and are just infuriating. Beyond this the furniture is in disrepair. Cobwebs all over the outdoor furniture along with dirty leaves covering the entire deck. The bed was so loud every time we moved that we couldn’t sleep at all and there are zero blinds in the house so, say goodbye to any hope of sleeping in. Also the tub had a huge crack. Overall just a terrible experience and the terrible management company VACASA made it all 100x worse. I will never rent a property they manage ever again. Again I can’t stress enough. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

House in the Trees

Great house located at 3700 ft elevation brings cool July temperatures. Amazingly clean and well appointed even including detergent pods for laundry. Fantastic direct tv via satellite - however, wifi is slooow…so be prepared to get off the net for a few days. Wonderful deck and porch that truly does have one “up in the trees” breathing fresh cool mountain air.

Work trip

Road leading to property is a little rough. Parking was adequate. House appeared clean until we found rat droppings on the upstairs bed. Toilet paper rolls were almost empty. It was so hot we couldn’t hardly sleep. The A/c couldn’t be adjusted and was on a timer. There’s no satellite tv. We had no phone signal and the Wi-Fi was spotty at best. So we weren’t able to even make Wi-Fi calls. Horrible experience.

A fantastic weekend in North Carolina!

We had a great time staying at the Bird House Cabin in North Carolina. A quick weekend filled with fun hikes, waterfalls, and cruising the quaint town of Cashier’s. There were soooo many things to do, we’ve decided to plan a return to the Bird house cabin to see more things we couldn’t fit in our last trip. We chose the Bird House after finding it on Airbnb and wanting to be on the outskirts of town with privacy, quietness, and the ability to take in the nature the Carolinas offers. We got more than we had expected and had a great experience and can’t wait to come back!! Thank You -Sky and Barbara
