Our daughter and 8 year old twins live in Eureka and we came up to treat them for Thanksgiving. The kids got their own rooms and so did their mom. My wife and I took the downstairs bedroom. The house has everything one could wish for in a rental. We were thoroughly impressed with the beds, bath, kitchen and our host who brought a new TV while we were there. Great place.
This is the ideal house, in a terrific location. Driveway parking, powerful external lighting, gates on every side of the fence, comfortable furniture both indoors, and outdoors. I mean REALLY comfortable furniture. The windows are new, and slide open with ease. Good water pressure/temperature, and spacious bathrooms (2). Each bedroom has a new flatscreen TV, and the main TV is quite large. We signed into Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video in order to watch movies. Caught the World Series, watched movies late at night. There is a bodega which is open till 0200 within a 5 minute walk. Drip coffee maker, and grinder are in top form. Fireplace worked without issue. It was, all in all, a great spot in a great location. We walked north on C Street, and were in Old Town Eureka in 12 minutes. Nice gas range, plenty of cooking basics (oil, seasonings, cookware). The house felt like a home, rather than a rental property. There were only two things I noticed, and these are common to ALL short-term rental properties—the kitchen knives need to be sharpened and you must be patient with the TV cable, and apps. Every app opened, and worked without a problem—the remote function is a little slower than your normal set-up. When you hit a button, just count “One Cal-if-or-nia.” Everything was great. Would certainly recommend this property. I could have stayed there a month!
We all loved this home. 1 of the girls could not join us, which worked out for the best. As 1 bedroom is attached to the upstairs bathroom. We would not have wanted to walk through their private area. wajted to walk througb somepne
This house was perfect for my family! We all had a place to sleep, it was very clean and everything was very close by ! Also the owner was very kind and easy to work with. We had a wonderful time!!
We were very impressed with the cleanliness, furnishings, fully stocked kitchen and over all comfort of the house. Our grandkids loved the lawn space and we really enjoyed the patio with the gas fire pit. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
We really enjoyed this house, very clean and well-maintained. Eureka is a bit of a strange place, but we were in the area to visit the redwoods so it was a good location to visit the national and state parks. Kudos to the host!
It was avery cool house. So clean! The yard was great for the dogs and my kids liked the size of the house. The kitchen was a nice size with almost everything i needed. Just a nice place to hang out as a family. Nice location so it was close to the zoo, grocery stores and close to hwy 101 so we could jet up to Trinidad and Fern Canyon.
Walking in we were immediately impressed by how clean and well equipped (towels, dishes, and other household supplies) the house was. The yard was great for the small dog we had along and our group had plenty of space to visit with relatives that were gathered for a wedding. Beds were comfortable and the house maintained a comfortable temperature. The people that came by to visit commented many times how nice the house was as did my wife and her sisters. The couple of times I felt a need to communicate with the host his responses were prompt and helpful. Overall a great experience.
This house was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 children. The house was clean, located in a great location, and a beautiful neighborhood to walk in. The host was very friendly and responsive. Would absolutely stay here again!
Generally very good. Hosts were very good to work with. Kitchen was well stocked, and made cooking there easy. Downstairs bedroom very comfortable. Upstairs beds could use better mattress, maybe a topper? Lots of hot water for showers. Bathrooms upgraded and nice.
This property was perfect! We were a large group (10), attending my nieces wedding, and the property was spacious, clean and comfortable. We never felt on top of each other and the property really had all those little incidentals you forget to pack on hand. Plenty of towels and quiet rooms. We loved our stay!!!
We stayed here while exploring the redwoods. We were a big group - 11. I was so impressed at how well stalked it was. There was plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, rags, laundry, dishes pans...everything one needs to be comfortable. We loved the antique flare and decor along with the layout. It was fun to be in a neighborhood with so much character. The owner was more than accessible, communicative and easy to work with. She even offered to mail me my things that I left behind as a courtesy. It was centrally located to all our Redwood destinations. About 45 minutes or so. I am definitely staying here again if we ever come back.
The property was clean and very nicely decorated with many well thought out amenities, such as magnifying mirrors in bathrooms, lots of towels, nicer sheets, WIFI info easy to locate, nice and plentiful kitchenware, great coffee maker. Overall, lots of thoughtful attention to detail. Everyone was grateful and impressed. Thank you for such a great place to stay! Highly recommend this house and its location!
This home was perfect for our large family. It had plenty of space to visit, play games and eat together. Kitchen was well stocked and every where I looked there was another useful item added for convenience. The house was so much more beautiful than the photos! We loved our stay. Thank you so much
We took a trip to visit Cal Poly Humbolt with my husband, my parents, and our 3 kids. It’s a very comfortable house with lots of space for relaxing and a big kitchen table for us to sit at and eat and visit. The location is great, very convenient. We were there during a very stormy period and we were comfy and cozy in the house. No problems at all! We would definitely stay there again if my daughter decides to attend Humbolt.
Spacious gathering areas to eat at and relax-beautiful fenced yard. Towels were soft and fluffy and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed staying here while visiting family in the area.
