I hope you love this little apartment as much as I do. Original hardwood antique floors mixed with modern charm and amenities. With windows is every room you will be greeted with light in every space.

Custom designed and New Orleans themed wall paper was created for this space along with many other touches that make this place far from cookie cutter!
We are located in the uptown area that puts walking distance to the Freret St corridor. As we say in New Orleans you can make some groceries at the brand new grocery store on Freret St, grab a sazerac from the swanky Cure bar or have the brunch of your dreams at Bearcat Cafe - all easily walkable from our place.

Lastly, We welcome and celebrate all guests regardless of race, religion, gender, or who they choose to love.

Good stay

We stayed there with 2 couples for a concert. It was centrally located and about a 15 minute walk to some good restaurants and local bars. Roads were under construction (but that’s New Orleans, so it’s expected.) We felt safe the whole time.

Great location in NOLA

We loved our stay. Perfect size for our family of 4. Location was ideal for us and the ability to park on the street without the added stress other areas of NOLA have when it comes to parking. Bus stop is just a few feet away. We loved the heater in the bathroom and the beds were comfortable for us….and the cool wallpaper! Definitely would stay again! Host was very communicative. Such a cute spot.

Christmas 2024 new orleans

Place was very clean. Beds were comfortable. I liked the additional heavy extra blankets. Location was good. Neighbors were quiet. Washer and dryer was helpful. We were a family of 4 staying 3 nights so we had to wash our towels twice…. Maybe a couple extra towels would be nice. Also there were only 3 plates, so we had to get creative. Otherwise it was a great stay and Lindsey was great to respond as quickly as possible. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, quiet apartment in a convenient location.

We stayed four nights in New Orleans; the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy with a nice shower, which was important to us. Once we figured out how to get to the closest streetcar, it was easy to get into the main streets of New Orleans.Overall a great place to stay while visiting this fun city.

Wonderful stay!

This VRBO was the perfect place for me and my friends to enjoy our Taylor Swift concert weekend. From beginning to end, the communication with the host was top notch and we felt well taken care of. The beds are super comfy and it was in a quiet part of town so we slept great. Felt very safe staying here as well. No complaints about the property or stay, highly recommend.

First time in NOLA

Exactly as described! I was tempted to move a plastic bench from back yard to front porch because we were on the front porch in the sun every morning. The back yard was ideal in the evening to sit and relive the day in NOLA. Awkward start ( We were a little early) arrival turned into an awesome stay.

Lovely downstairs apartment in an historic home located about equal distance between Tulane and Super Dome, with homeowners onsite (I believe, upstairs), and very responsive. I enjoyed the character and warmth of the space with high ceilings and original architectural details, like garden doors and hardwood floors that really showcased the building's history while providing a cozy atmosphere. The apartment was tastefully decorated, blending modern comforts with eclectic NOLA charm, making it feel like a home away from home. The living area was spacious and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the nearby sights. It is a 2 bedroom comfy apartment, but it is set up shotgun style so if you are sharing with another couple, there wouldn't be much privacy due to bathroom being on end of house. But if you're sharing with a family, it's a perfect set up. Kitchen was equipped with all the basic necessities for cooking onsite. The washer and dryer make it convenient too. The roads around the immediate neighborhood are less than desirable, but that is to be expected for anyone who is familiar with NOLA. Potholes are a constant work in progress - and to be expected. I would stay here again because I prefer to support a homeowner over big hoteliers any day!

Perfect place to stay for New Orleans

Can’t say enough about this place. It was fabulous bigger than expected. Super clean and tidy the host lives on site saw her twice was friendly, but not impeding on our time. The location was fabulous. We took the street car into Bourbon Street so we didn’t have to pay for downtown. Parking bed was super comfortable was nice to have a kitchen so we could make breakfast each day. Bathroom was clean and the outdoor space looked fabulous although we did not utilize it at all it was cute and it would’ve been great. Had we had maybe more friends with us to hang out back. The front deck space was great to sit and have a morning coffee. I really don’t have anything negative to say about this place five stars great communication great location if we ever do come back, will probably stay here.

Who Dat is not only words!!!!

I arrived early and was impressed with the property. I was there for a memorial service of a family member. The property manager was very understanding of my situation. Family members who visited me during my stay was also impressed. I will plan to reserve this property again in the future.

Good place, bad maintenance

The place is relatively close to restaurants on Freret (2 min drive) and downtown (10 min drive). But the area is so so. Hosts were responsive but maintenance is lacking. No TV instructions, shower handle comes off, kitchen not equipped with pots and pans, last night and last morning the heating was completely off and it was freezing in the place. Thermostat was dead.

Great Communication and Assistance

Our hosts were very accommodating and quickly responded when we needed assistance. My friend was not feeling well when we got to town and they offered us an earlier check-in so she could rest. The house is really lovely and unique. Lots of coat hooks which is a big plus for us because we were traveling with a lot of warm weather clothing for fishing.

Great place to stay for a visit to New Orleans

The accommodations were really nice. Nice space with plenty of room very clean. We were there for a Saints game and it was no problem getting around and conveniently close. I just wish the TV remote worked properly. Not a complaint, it's just in need of a workable upgrade. I would recommend and use again if possible. Thanks

Cute Place

This is a super cute space in a neighborhood I felt safe leaving my kids in. The apartment is downstairs, which made it easy to lug in all the baby gear! The place was chilly and though my kids did try adjusting the thermostat, the apartment remained chilly. But, overall, they enjoyed their visit!

Just perfect

Our host was lovely, super friendly and welcoming. The space was as advertised. Things were clean and cozy. There is a full kitchen although we couldn’t find cook wear but there is a microwave for reheating. This was a great location in uptown in a family friendly neighborhood that is great proximity to all parts of New Orleans without being right in the thick of it. Bonus is that it’s individually owned so you aren’t contributing to a conglomerate and the personal touch was noticed. Thank you Lyndsey!

Great Location, Few Issues with comfort

The location was great for everything we wanted to do. The place was clean and well stocked (and had a very friendly kitty), however, when it came to comfort it wasn't ideal. The couch was barely able to be used because almost all of the spots sunk nearly to the floor. There is no kitchen table or other seating aside from a couple of barstools and some outdoor seating. All of us are over 50 and have various back issues, so this was an issue for us. The TV is also fairly old and made watching anything difficult. That said, we found it a good place to sleep and a good base to get to the French Quarter, the Superdome and other locations. Price was fair. Decent wifi. Ginger kitty that wanted to come in and inspect the place daily. Easy to find, decent neighborhood (for the most part), although the streets are in bad shape in the area around it. Good food close by. Grocery nearby. Overall, recommend if you just need a place to sleep, not so much if you plan to hang out in the space and expect to be comfortable.

Since starting VRBO five years ago, the additional income has allowed Lindsey to quit her regular nine to five and launch her very own non profit that serves the community we live in and we are ever grateful for your help.

Why they chose this property

We have done are best to preserve the character of a wonderful 1920's house. When we renovated we salvaged, repurposed and reused so much of what was in the house because you simply cannot get a lot those materials anymore at that quality. Being located uptown you are never far from quality bars, restaurants and fun.
