Was supposed to spend the weekend fishing and golfing. Weather changed our plans. But the house was very spacious. Great views. Great TV’s for football. Clean out. Would stay again.
We celebrated my wife's birthday here with our family of 12 and everything about this place was great for our group. The property manager, Tyler, and the resident caretaker, Bo, were extremely responsive and helpful with all request and inquiries. The large covered dock area was a great gathering location for the swimmers and kayakers, as well for grilling in the evening. I would definitely rent again for a family gathering.
Great family house. Waterfront view is phenomenal. Room to park our boat at the dock and truck and trailer on flat ground. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and nearby island. The covered picnic pavilion/dock provided a cool place to hang out by the water. Host responded quickly to any questions we had. Hope to be back next year!
We loved this house! The location was so perfect, the dock was amazing and even though there were 12 adults, it never once felt like we were crowding each other. My only suggestion would be to add another fridge for a house that holds that many people. We all would love to return yearly!
The house and property were perfect for our stay. There were enough beds and bathrooms for all 10 of us. The view was incredible and the access to the lake was unbeatable. The caretaker who stays on property was never a problem and a nice guy; however it would be nice if he didn’t start cutting grass at 8:30 am. Besides that, this place is amazing and we will be back for sure.
Our weekend was more than amazing. We now have memories to last a lifetime. Breathtaking views and lots of fun on the water. Tyler was the best host ive ever had. Communicated well and in a timely manor. The house was so spacious and had plenty enough rooms. We spent most of our time outside since we couldnt get enough of it. We had more fun than we expected and everyone that stayed with us couldnt agree more.
We had a great weekend! The house is dated and some updated furniture and finishes would be a plus. House was very clean, although I did have to gather up 7 dead roaches off the floors when we got there. A pass through prior to our arrival would have made a better first impression. I would stay in this home again, but some in our group would not. Caretaker in basement was very polite and we forgot he was there. Property manager was awesome and very quick to respond to all communication!!!
We loved the house as far as the layout. Most of the beds were hard. The upstairs front room on the left hard a terrible creak. Lol. We put the teenage girls in there. The carpets need replacing. The kitchen needs cabinet organization. The couch in the tv room needs replacing. My 13 grandson cut his knee on a missing button stud. There needs to be at least one blanket per room. Throw away the stinky wool blanket. The porch chair cushions need replacing.
The caretaker was very nice. The lake was wonderful. The dock was fabulous. This could be made into a premier spot with some upkeep. My family would come again. We showed pics on Facebook and lots of people have asked us about it.
We came for my daughter’s parents weekend in Clemson. We had a great time. The house is clean but is dated.. The lake is beautiful. Would highly recommend!
We've had several Vrb0 family vacations, but our Big Water Landing stay on Lake Keowee rates the best!! The house is somewhat dated, but we loved it. The private boat landing was a real plus for using our pontoon boat. The highlight of our trip was having our 1-month-old great grandson with us. He seemed to enjoy the trip also. We loved the large open kitchen-dining room. They provided everything we needed for all the scrumptious meals we enjoyed. Our Vrbo host Tyler was a tremendous help in planning our Big Water vacation and helping with things we needed during our stay. We hope to return to Big Water Landing for future trips.
There is no better location! Views were amazing and we spent the majority of the time down at the dock, including for meals. House was very clean, if a bit dated, but honestly it added to the charm as the kitchen appliances, tvs and washer/dryer were all updated. Only real drawback were the beds. Beds were not as described in the listing, which should be adjusted. There were no queen beds (listing says there are 2 queens) but there are only king and double beds which was a challenge for several couples sharing the doubles. All 5 couples felt the beds were hard and creaky. A 3-4 inch mattress topper in each bed would be an easy fix!
House was easy to find, plenty of parking and privacy. We had a fabulous stay and are considering booking this house again as this is a yearly trip.
We searched for a lake house to celebrate my wife’s retirement – her career as a physical therapist. We found the perfect house here. Our two sons joined us with their wives and our two grandchildren, 13 and 15.
We really enjoyed having a separate bedroom for each couple and each for the teens. We enjoyed the big screen TV for the kid’s video games and the NBA championship game. Austin is a huge basketball fan.
We cooked gormet meals in the kitchen and celebrated around the large table. But most of all, we enjoyed the lake, the dock, the boathouse, and especially the island. We brought two canoes with us, which proved to be an excellent idea, and rented a pontoon boat for two days. Best of all, we buried treasure on the island (buried under a scattering of leaves) and drew a great pirate’s map to lead the kids through a series of challenges for their reward.
Yes, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the property. My daughter-in-law even found herself mesmerized by the fireflies. Thank you for everything.
We had a family reunion in the large pavilion on the water and everyone had a great time. The views were breathtaking and the house was very comfortable. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the beautiful property and perfect weather.
