SWEET RETREAT is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and of course, all you need for coffee each morning! Enjoy your meals together around the dining room table, or take it to the front patio for an epic barbecue.

After exploring the wonders of the Ark Encounter, decamp to the family room for a movie night. This comfy space includes a 65" flatscreen TV with streaming access and live TV via Roku TV and WiFi.

The bedrooms are fit for royalty, with a grand master featuring a king bed, a luxurious ensuite master bath, a spacious walk-in closet and a 65" TV for your entertainment. The second bedroom is fit for a king, with a king bed and a 58" TV. The third bedroom is cozy and comfortable, with a queen bed that will make you feel right at home. With two full bathrooms, you and your guests will have all the space you need to feel refreshed and ready to explore the wonders of Florence or Cincinnati. IMPORTANT:
1- We provide a swing set for our younger guests' enjoyment. To ensure their safety, we require adult supervision at all times. Please note that injuries are the responsibility of the supervising adult, not the establishment. The swing set is suitable for children aged 3 to 8 years, weighing no more than 100 pounds, to prevent damage to the equipment. Any damages to the swing set will incur a replacement fee. We appreciate your cooperation in following these guidelines to keep a safe and fun environment for everyone.
2- Sweet Retreat is somewhat close to a train track, and while the sound is gentle enough not to disturb, it’s worth noting if absolute silence is crucial for your stay. Please keep this in mind when booking.

Perfect weekend getaway!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was extremely clean and had everything you could ask for. It’s in a great location right between the Ark and Cincinnati. We will definitely be back for our next trip to the Ark. We really appreciate the host for being so kind and making the check in and out easy!

Ark Encounter/Creation Museum

Perfect location if you’re looking for a place between the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum! This place was very nice, very clean, well decorated and we’d stay again!A suggestion may be to put a shelf or two somewhere in the guest bathroom bc there’s not much room to put your things esp if you had 4 people sharing but overall very pleased.

Walton, KY

We stayed just prior to the worst snow/ice storm in KY. Place was great. It had everything we could need or want. Wish we could have stayed longer. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early to avoid highway shutdowns and the storm. Would definitely recommend and/or stay there again

Wonderful Trip

We stayed in this beautiful home and attended a Vacation Bible School conference at the Ark Encounter. The house is decorated so cute and looks just like the pictures. We had everything we needed and more. It exceeded our expectations. All the beds were so comfortable, in fact we had to see what kind of mattresses were on the beds so we could purchase one. The house is conveniently located in between the Ark Encounter, and the Creation Museum. Would would definitely stay here again.

Sisters Trip to the Ark

The house is one of the nicest rentals I’ve stay in. It is very convenient to the Ark and the Creation Museum. Walton is a charming town. Be aware there are six steps into the house.

A Creation & ARK Encounter

Wanted to visit the Creation Museum & The Ark with my Bible study Besties...4 ladies traveling from Georgia to Kentucky for 3 nights & 4 days. This house was smack dab in the middle of both. We were less than 20 minutes from the ARK and 35 minutes from Creation.. it was perfect location for us!!

Charming home

This house had a great layout and big comfortable beds. Fire pit and all the amenities were perfect! The only thing I’d suggest is more “family friendly” and comfortable living room furniture; it is beautiful but not the most comfortable for a group to stretch out and lounge. Maybe adding a slimline recliner would help and go with the decor.

Magnificent!!

The home is beautiful and perfect for our stay. Everything was so clean and had everything including laundry detergent!!! We will be staying here again for when we come back next year!!! If you are going to see the Ark Experience the drive was super easy!!!

Trip to the Ark

The house was lovely and pictures were true. The thermostat was a little off it would be cold in some portions of the house while other portion would be hot . But overall the house was great plenty of extras . Since we had three grand children with us the Easter snd dryer was great with plenty of detergent available . Plenty of toilet tissue and . Usually we have to buy extra so it was nice to have extra. The grass was a little long . We had bad weather one night and a huge limb fell from a tree, it fell across the walkway . We call the owners and he sent out the handy man to clear the limbs from the yard . We really appreciated the quick response.

Fabulous family reunion

My small family's annual reunion took us to the Ark Encounter this year, and this was the prefect place for the 4 of us to stay. Easy to get to and beautifully furnished/ decorated inside, we were perfectly comfortable.

Perfect vacation home

This is the best VRBO we have ever experienced in dozens of homes. It is located perfectly between the Ark and the Creation Museum. David was super responsive to a minor issue. The Train noise was not laud enough to be a problem.

Creation Museum and the Ark

Me, my daughter and my twin sister made the trip to visit the Creation Museum and The Ark. This house was halfway between, easy to get to, quiet neighborhood. The house was amazing, immaculate. Extremely nice furnishings and decorations. We had everything we needed. Hosts very easy to communicate with. We could not have picked a better place to stay!
