This property is just lovely and in a great spot! It was a quick and easy drive from DC, was private and quiet, and had beautiful waterfront views and access. The house has great character and it is clear the the owners refurbished and decorated it with great love and attention to detail which just enhances the feeling that you are really on a getaway from the doldrums of everyday life. The space is very comfortable top to bottom-the beds and couches are nice and there are lots of blankets to wrap up in. The outdoor spaces are purposeful and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and had all we needed to make a few meals. All communication was promptly and kindly answered. I highly recommend this listing and hope to return myself!
Very peaceful. Responsive owner. Only minor issues with remotes and internet. Cleaners did accuse of bringing pets due to fur on my son’s blanket that must have come with us, but resolved through several texts. Great location

About the host

Hi! I'm Lisa- the owner and designer of Hideaway On The Bay. I'm a wife, mom of two boys, Senate staffer and Anglican Deacon. I love all things vintage, interior design, real estate, fishing, water, and hiking. I found this A frame in the summer of 2021 and decided to fix it up and I'm so thrilled that I can share it with others. I love the city but this is such a secluded property with amazing views only one hour from DC. Hiking and vineyards are nearby--as well as beaches and fossil hunting on the Chesapeake. I hope you can stay at The Hideaway. You will not be disappointed!
What makes this property unique
