Just what we needed. You will find the added bonus of a trail right by the house. Make sure you are able to navigate the steps to the lake as they can be tricky. The rope helps a lot! Enjoy your time here!!!
The cabin was just as listed. Communication before our arrival was amazing, host was more than accommodating!Cabin was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was perfect!! (Thick hair and pressure is usually a challenge). Cabin was very private and out of the way, but close enough to enjoy the surrounding towns. Steps to the lake are very steep, as stated, but doable. We didn't have great weather, but the man-friend did catch one small bass. Absolute best and favorite part - Wood burning fireplace. So nice to sit and relax and watch movies during the cold/ rain!
Me and my husband went up for a quiet getaway. The view of the lake was phenomenal. The pics don’t do any justice. The host/owner Jerome was very attentive, he responded back to any questions we had ASAP. We will be back soon and stay at this same cabin if it’s available the next time we come back up! The cabin was beautiful and clean, it was also convenient to EVERYTHING!
Very clean cabin,in a peaceful location,of course we went in the winter It is posted as a cabin on the lake, would of liked to have been informed how steep it is to get down to the lake,
Very nice cabin, very clean, quiet. Nice poarch over look a small lake. Directions to cabin were easy to follow and roads were very good. Bed very comfortable. Wi-fi was good but cell service not so good. TV service was ok but we are not used to streaming. Need reading lamps and better poarch furniture (had to say something negative)
I am particular about cleanness. The owners paid attention to detail and made sure this property was ready for the new people. It has everything you need in the kitchen. You can’t beat morning coffee or tea on the balcony looking out at the water. I will be back for the changing of the leaves color. I stayed in mid- September, everything was still green but still beautiful. Peaceful, cozy, and clean. A trusted property, a go too property knowing that you will get consistency when you stay here.
We enjoyed the location and cabin very much. Loved the back porch with the view. Would suggest cleaning up the walkway down to the water along with the dock as it is a little tricky to access. But overall it is a beautiful spot hidden away in the trees.
The location of this cabin is the best we've ever stayed at. If you're looking to explore the whole area and not just one town, then this location can't really be beat. It's right in the middle of Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Blairsville and McCaysville. It's around a 20 min drive to the downtown areas of each give or take a few minutes.
The cabin itself is great as well. It's an easy drive with no treacherous roads (we had a non 4-wheel drive SUV). The lake is beautiful and the views are really nice. The only downside to the property is that if someone staying there has mobility issues it may be difficult to get down to the dock, but that's a lot of properties in the area. The balcony and rest of the house is readily accessible with just as nice of a view.
We definitely plan on staying here next year when we make our annual trip up to north GA.
Quiet and tranquil retreat, if you need to reset and just forget about everything this is the place for you. The only recommendation I would give is for the property manager to clean the dock area and figure out a way to make the stairs a little less steep.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Loved the tucked away location, only 7 miles from town. Great water pressure in the shower and a very comfy bed! All I can add is that the stairs down to the lake are steep and one stretch does not have a handrail and it would be awesome if the owner would add a swing on the porch.
