Great stay, Great communications, Very Clean and nice neighborhood. A little awkward at first, because you have to walk through their living area getting into the basement living area. If available we would consider using it again when are in Great Falls.
Had a great stay with Christie. Super clean area and even though we were only there to sleep she was super friendly and even gave us baked treats! Would 100% reccommend and stay again.
We enjoyed our time spent visiting Great Falls thanks to the great amenities and hosting Christie and her family provided. We slept well and had no issues coming and going as we pleased. Thank you for the great stay. Looking forward to future visits!
This location is a quintessential example of what makes VRBO such a great invention!
The location has convenient access to major roads for both in & out of town. Walmart is a 2 min drive.
The entire basement area is reserved for any reservations. Access is via the garage and a short walk via a hallway that transits part of the den and kitchen. The stairs lead down to a large landing / dining area which then leads into a large room housing a small kitchenette and 2 full-size bedrooms. The modern sectional couches can be configured into 2 beds which 2 of our teen children slept on comfortably. The entire downstairs is new with modern appointments and Christie has done a great job at creating a fun and functional aesthetic.
Speaking of Christie, her communication was as outstanding as her hosting was accommodating, Thanks! Our whole family felt felt like we were part of this neat family. Christie checked in on us multiple times during our week stay to ensure all our needs were attended to.
The beds and bedrooms were comfortable, bathroom and toiletry items were of great quality and well apportioned. The kitchen area was all we needed, but we also brought items a large family would need. The refrigerator is a small one and the freezer section does not keep items frozen, but we had a cooler.
It can get hot, but we opened windows and closed vents to mitigate.
For us visiting family, it was a great place to crash. We look forward to staying again, Thanks!
The listing implies that you will be staying in the entire lower floor of a 2-story home. This is false. The "Lower Floor" of Sherriff Slaughter's home is a basement that you have to go through the residence to get to. The access is two flights of dangerous stairs because there is no hand rail at all. There is no access to climate control for the apartment, so when we got there at 10:00 at night, it was 85 degrees in the entire basement. The bedrooms were hot, and though they had small windows, there was not enough air flow through them to cool the place down. There were two vents that were closed but 3 that were open with no airflow. Sherriff Slaughter's wife Christie was the point of contact and refused to answer messages about the temp. The windows were too small to act as an egress point in case of fire, and there was a metal wall around the window that would have sliced anyone that tried to get out that way to ribbons. Because the 2 flights of stairs was the only access, you were stuck in the basement in case of house fire. There was no sink in the "kitchen" area, and if a stove fire occurred, there was no water to put it out (except for a half gallon of water in the filter bottle). We got up at 6:30 after no sleep and went through the residence to go outside. They acted as though I hadn't texted and complained about the things mentioned here. We left by 8:00 am, and tried to get a refund. VRBO contacted the host repeatedly trying to get a refund but they refused.
