The property is beautiful and spotless! Well stocked and the pool area is fabulous! Inside is just lovely. We went to Whiskey Town Lake and Lake Shasta. Both are super close by. Quiet neighborhood. I met the next door neighbor and she is lovely! We will definitely come stay again! The host was super responsive, too!
We had a great stay at your property. When we head back to an event at Bethel/Redding civic auditorium, we will definitely consider your place again. Thank you.
Was provided 3 trash bags for a 6 night stay and one roll of paper towels.
Refrigerator door needs to be fixed. Lower mattress on bunk beds is most uncomfortable.
Loved the layout and privacy of bedroom and e joyed the backyard with pool
And hit tub
We had a great long weekend while attending a 4 day virtual seminar. The location, the pool, all the space, and the neighborhood are perfect for families or larger groups! We dipped in the pool, enjoyed the hot tub, jogged the trails from outside our door, and easily jumped over to the market. The owner is very communicative and super helpful!
We stayed here for 9 nights/10 days. We saw a combined 10 waterfalls, hiked about 20 miles, panned for a few days. The pool was amazing and 87* all week long. The pool is shadowed all evening long and even when it was 115* outside, the pool was nice and refreshing.
One thing to note is that there is no BBQ, but there is a flat-top griddle where we prepared about 80% of our meals. This is a top place we have stayed. With 8 people in the house, 4 kids and 4 adults this house is laid out perfectly. The kids rooms are on one side and the adults on the other. Lots of room in the house!!
Everything was overall good. The code to get in did not work which was fixed quickly with a phone call. Hot tub was only warm and looked a little dirty. Once we increased the temperature and set it to a cleaning cycle it was better. It would be nice to have it cleaned and heated prior to arrival. Also the option to have the pool heated for an additional cost would be a nice option to have in the winter.
The house layout and amenities are comfortable for large groups. The back door to the garage didn't lock and made us nervous leaving our bikes in there. The neighborhood is nice and felt safer.
We learned from other reviews to turn on the hot tub as soon as we arrived to let it warm up. That worked well until the technician from the spa company turned it all off and reset it to summer settings. He also had concerns regarding the chemicals. It took us over a day to get the hot tub reset and heated again after he left. The owner was responsive in connecting with the spa company to verify that the tub chemical levels were safe for us to be in.
The weather wasn't the greatest while we were there and we couldn't get the house heater to adjust with the nest controller. My guess is that the settings are locked. Without the hot tub being warm, we froze and piled under extra blankets while we were at the house.
We decided to pick this property because of its proximity to Lake Shasta. The place is clean and well stocked with all necessary items. It was nice to return to a comfortable house at the end of the day.
There are many good restaurant options within 2-3 mile radius too.
We had 4 kids in our party and they absolutely enjoyed the pool during the hot 100+ degree days.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It would have been helpful to have some information on the alarm for the sliding glass door that led to the pool. We brought our own locks because the pool does not have a security fence. The house, pool and hot tub are great.
We love the house we love the pool and the hot tub it was perfect for our group and we will probably be going there again next year.. The house is very well accommodated and very well stocked The kitchen has plenty of glassware dinnerware coffee cups we couldn’t be happier
We stayed at this beautiful house for our little family vacation. The house is renovated and super clean. It was only 4 of us but the house would be great for 2 families. My kids loved the pool (especially the diving board) and I enjoyed reading on the shaded patio while watching my boys. The host provided everything that you may need for your perfect vacation (bathrooms and kitchen are fully equipped). We used that place as a base for our adventures: AaLassen Volcanic National Park- less than an hour drive, famous Burney and McCloud falls - an hour drive, Shasta Lake boating - 20 minutes, Whiskeytown Lake - great for swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding - 15 minutes. And just 5 minutes drive to Redding downtown with great restaurants and breweries. The house is located in very safe, beautiful community. Highly recommended!
House was great. Could use more towels, toilet paper and organize kitchen better. A champagne bottle was left on side of hot tub by previous guest. Got tub was not working, breaker kept tripping. We would rent again.
Excellent place to catch some R&R. The house was very clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prep quick meals. The backyard was definitely a highlight - swimming in the pool by day and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. The redwoods add great ambiance to the whole experience. Thank you!!!
Alex‘s place is amazing. I can’t say enough good words about it. It’s clean, spacious, well-maintained and welcoming. Alex is a great host, he is available if you have any questions and always ready to help. Our family of four people stayed at Alex’s home and had a great time. We especially love the pool and Jacuzzi. We highly recommend this home.
