Located directly on Lake Charlevoix and only 2 miles from Downtown Boyne City the Porter Creek LN. Cottage will provide you a unique balance of nature and amenities. The property accommodates 11 bed for sleeping, a spacious living room with fireplace and an updated kitchen. From the front of the property enjoy 105 feet of sandy Lake Charlevoix with a large new dock for swimming. From the rear of the property enjoy a cup of coffee or have a fire along Porter Creek which flows directly through the property. The property is 2 miles to Boyne City, 5 miles from the landing and a short drive to Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbor springs. If you like to Ski or would enjoy the water park we’re 10 minutes to Boyne Mountain.

February Ski Trip with teens
What a great place and exactly as listed. It was 15 minutes from Boyne Mountain and 7 minutes to the cute Boyne City area with grocery and restaurants nearby. The property manager was very easy to contact, checkin was a breeze. Highly recommend this property. We had 2 adults and 7 teens and the space was perfect for us.

Family Ski Trip
First time to visit the area and it's lovely! We were there for a quick winter ski trip and house is only about 15 minutes from Boyne Mountain. Downtown Boyne City is about 5 minutes away and incredibly charming and it's a short drive to Petoskey also. Open floor plan is great and allowed us to all be together. It was great for a winter trip, but it would be an amazing home for a summer getaway! I can just picture dinner on the platform that overlooks the creek behind the house. Thanks for a great visit and for sharing your home with us!

Holiday Weekend Retreat!
This cozy cottage was a great location for our ski trip as it was close to Boyne Mountain and not too far to Nubs. Unfortunately, extreme wind chills kept us inside which we didn't mind as the cottage is cozy and charming. It has a great open floor plan that allowed our family to be together as we played games and. We loved the location with the running creek behind the house and lake in front. The kitchen was fully equipped as we cooked every meal to avoid adventuring out in the sub 0 wind chills.We will be returning again in the not too distant future.Thank you sharing your home with my family.

Great cabin on the lake!
Cute, well-maintained cabin on the lake with a wonderful creek running through the backyard. This home had everything we needed for a relaxing 3-day family getaway. Kitchen was fully outfitted, beds were comfy, and the house was clean. Excellent location and friendly neighbors. Short drive into town with easy access to restaurants, groceries, etc. What’s not to like?!

Awesome Boyne City Cottage!
The house was perfect for our family's first time in northern Michigan. It is well stocked with everything you could need for cooking, hanging out (we especially loved the karaoke machine and the two fire pits!), and enjoying the lake. It's tucked into a quiet neighborhood off of the main road with friendly neighbors. Our dogs loved running in the large lawn that extends to the lake! Thank you for an awesome stay!

Family 4th of July
We wanted to celebrate our daughter’s engagement with the family over the 4th of July holiday. This was a perfect spot and the cottage was comfortable, clean, full of everything we could need for our family celebration. We enjoyed dining outside and the beautiful views of Lake Charlevoix. The park-like setting was perfect for outdoor activities. Everyone loved the accommodations and the location. We will be back!

Beautiful surrounding
We enjoyed our family trip to Boyne City. Beautiful Lake Charlevoix in the front, with the sights and sounds of the creek in back. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Sam was readily available and always helpful with any questions. Would love to visit again.

Lake Charlevoix,
It was exactly as described in the listing! we had an amazing time with our family and friends celebrating Christmas and New Year! The cabin was very cozy, and clean with a perfect location. The nice kitchen, bedrooms, closets, and other spaces were perfect! There was so much to do, even when it rained. We feel welcome and hopefully will back on summer;)

Great place to stay with a family of eight. Place is in the middle of the donut. Charlevoix, Petoskey,Boyne City, Gaylord all within 30 min. Lake was very nice. House very clean and very nice. Thanks Tony fir being a great host!

Fantastic Getaway

Perfect getaway on Lake Charlevoix
Our week long stay on this gorgeous property was pretty much perfect with warm temperatures all week, sunrise coffee on the dock, fall colors, crystal, clear, calm lake, and a perfect day out on the boat. We loved everything about this property! Can’t wait to come back next fall. oh, and SAM!!! Sam the property manager is amazing!! He made our vacation better in so many ways. He’s one of many reasons we’ll come back.

Relaxing Vacation on the Lake
We had a great time on Lake Charlevoix! This house was perfect for our two families. We enjoyed the beautiful view and easy lake access. The lawn was great for lawn games and enjoyed a nice bonfire by the lake. The house was well equipped for all cooking needs. We especially enjoyed using the blackstone flat top grill. It served us well for our outdoor breakfast cooking. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels and washcloths. The neighbors are friendly and the town is very cute. It met all our needs!

Great times on Lake Charlevoix
Beautiful property. Nice and clean home. Everything you need in the kitchen and bath and then some! We had ages 6 to 73 and we all were quite comfortable. The small bath was tiny though. The other bath was very large. Thank you to Sam, the property manager. He was quite helpful. We shall return!

Amazing Property
Stayed here with my wife, two kids, and our dog. The property location is outstanding. Nice view of Lake Charlevoix from the house. Dock was fun to use to swim or just enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Easy drive to Boyne City, Charlevoix, and Petoskey. Property was clean with more amenities than we could possibly use in a week. Property owner was easy to communicate with and provided excellent advice for local attractions and restaurants. A great place to stay if you want to simply lounge around to relax, enjoy the surrounding towns, or a little of both. Outstanding.

Fun with Family and Friends
We had a amazing time at this wonderful lake house. The home had everything we needed and more than we expected. The house was very clean, comfortable with very nice amenities. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need to make anything you want. They even had a great knife set to make prep easy as well. The creek at out the back is the hidden gem of this place. Coffee by the creek with the sounds of bubbling water, ducks swimming by and even a deer joined us one morning. The HUGE yard is awesome for the kids, the dock is really nice to swim from and load and unload boats, kayaks and other beach toys. The two different fire pits were really nice to have as well. Overall a great place and the location is close to everything you need. A marina right next door with a boat ramp, a gas dock within 1/4 mile, less than 10 minutes to Boyne City . Thanks again we will be back!!!! We highly recommend.

Great family vacation
We rented this cottage over the 4th week . The views of fireworks were amazing from the dock ! This cottage comes STOCKED with what you need. Negatives not much to complain about but just so future renters can know: bring fans upstairs is warm . Cottage is quite a walk to water . No big deal unless you have elder folks . Property is huge and awesome for kids however be aware it’s very close to neighbors so be aware of where your pup is if you bring them. Loved it great memories!

Great Stay
We had a fantastic time at Tony's property. While home isn't particularly large the layout is well done and open which was perfect for 3 adults and 4 kids. You could easily fit more if needed. The property is beautiful with a large park-like setting (great for lawn games) extending out to a private dock and the backyard is a creek that serves as a natural "sound machine" for the two bedrooms at night. The loft has 3 twin beds and one queen which was perfect for our kids. The kitchen has everything you need and the wifi worked well when we had to work. The living area was very comfortable with enough seating and great for movie night and there are family board games available for nights in. The covered porch and patio were perfect for dinner and drinks in the evening. Overall, we had a wonderful family stay and would definitely come back. Thanks!

Relaxing Lake Getaway
Well-maintained home with everything you need. The property is beautiful, with Lake and creek and two firepits. The property manager was easy to reach. A nice quiet spot in a well-maintained area on the lake. Great swimming and relaxing right off the dock, short drive to town, or you can walk to the marina restaurant next door. Internet worked well all week. The kitchen has all the dishware you will need. Perfect for a family getaway to relax. Highly recommend.

Had a great time with our family of 10. Very nice place, clean and well furnished. Second bathroom was a bit small but we made due. The lake was so clear and the kids had a blast swimming and hunting for Petoskey stones. The neighbors were friendly and Sam the property manager was very responsive. We weren't able to check in until after dark, Sam had the place lit up for us so we could find it. Thanks so much! Great location to use as a home base to venture in all directions from Mackinac island to Traverse city and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Then come back to relax.
