A great home base for our family vacation

The rental was spacious and fit our teen/adult children comfortably. The lounge area had plenty of seating, and our younger kids enjoyed the board games provided. The staff was so friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend.

The size of the accommodations was perfect for our family. The beds were clean and comfortable for all. The floors needed vacuuming. The kitchen utensils needed to be rewashed before use. The oven and stove were filthy. The go carts were a big attraction but seldom open. Saturday the operator arrived at noon and didn’t open at all on Sunday. The days he did open it was only a few hrs and then he left. Disappointing as it was a big sale point when choosing where we stayed. The office not opening until 4 pm when you have long stay guests is annoying and frustrating when people have to wait for someone to man the desk.

NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY

Although the pictures were almost exact, except it doesn't show the many disadvantages for a person with disabilities, such as wheelchair bound individuals. (Brother- guest) The entire weekend, he could not bathe, or upkeep his hygiene, like brushing his teeth, wash hands or use the restroom to relieve himself, due to small doorway entrances, or a long metal pole in middle of floor of the restroom (floor to ceiling) . He also didn't have access to kitchen to eat because of stairs, without assistance and being lifted. We continued our stay, nevertheless, due to financial funds being limited. The staff was very nice.

Not clean

Within the first 5 minutes we find a pill in one of the rooms took it to front desk. They replied oh we know who’s it is just an antihistamine it’s ok. He had a two and four year old with us. Later that night another pill in a different room…excedrine. Bathrooms were very wet and leaky, hall carpet was soaked the whole time in one spot. It’s obvious there was a leak somewhere. The shower was moldy and black around caulking. Kitchen table was sticky and there wasn’t any way to really dry the dishes after washing them. The coffee pot was as though it has never been cleaned, we ended up buying one to use because theirs was just too dirty. Daily had to take towels to the office and requested clean ones. They only allowed so many kitchen towels (3) and you had to ask for paper towels, toilet paper and even garbage bags for the garbage cans. The amount of space was amazing and the manager was friendly and helpful as one of the toilets broke. If this place was a little cleaner and not so hard to obtain the things you need to help keep it clean then we would definitely make this a yearly spot.

Quirky and clean, a little outdated

We enjoyed our stay here - it's a great space for a big group! The living room is a perfect hang out spot for everyone with the TV and a table for board games, plus lots of seating for everyone. It's 5 minutes from the beach by car which is great. They did a great job of cleaning everything before we came - everything was clean and tidy. The unit is outdated and weirdly put together, and it looks a bit better in the photos than in real life. The cleanliness helped us not worry about that, though. Our only real concern was the old shower. There was a good amount of black mold in it which was concerning, but the staff did all the could to clean it and kill the mold. It just needs a new shower kit. Overall, an enjoyable place to stay! We would stay here again just for the layout and the ability to hang out as a family! It was a good price, too.

Friendly staff, great location.

Overall we all enjoyed our stay and the staff was very very nice, the exterior was fairly clean. The interior, at least something's, needed a little updating/remodeling. Otherwise, there was plenty of room for 7 adults and 3 younger children. I would stay again.

Westport meet up

I met up with long time friends for a couple nights. The space has four large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Families of four could easily sleep in three of the four rooms together comfortably. The area was quite at night and it was easy to get a good night's rest. Our party had three adults and two young elementary age kids. The kitchen was a little tight during meal prep as the dining table is right in the middle of the space. The dining table holds 6. There is no dishwasher or drying rack for dishes. We made it work with our size group, but anything larger would be a bit if a hassle. The living space was large with lots of comfortable seating. We found it a bit awkward to find a spot where we could sit and talk facing each other as all the couches were positioned to face the TV. The kitchen and the living space are separated by a LONG hallway. This made it interesting when us moms were preparing meals and the kids were playing in the living space. There is a nice city park right behind for kids to play on, walking distance, and wet took a short drive and enjoyed finding LOTS of sand dollars as we walked the beach. The space had an unfinished feel, but it suited my groups needs as we mostly just wanted to hang out and catch up. The property owner asked for our feedback and was very receptive and had a positive response what we shared.

Westport fun

I've live near here and love going to the beach! My husband and young kids love this area and we all enjoy playing here whenever we can. The go kart track is my kids favorite.

Why they chose this property

This small ocean town is beautiful. Nature at its most amazing. Beach combing, clamming, fishing, crabbing, enjoying the sand and powerful sounds of the surf. Summer is gorgeous and winter king tides are majestic.

What makes this property unique

This suite is a large private space in our little family owned hotel/motel. We wanted a suite for large families to be able to stay together and make fun family trip memories.
