Historic Townhouse, Private On Site Parking & Courtyard Garden

Location, Location, Location! The townhouse is located near the center of the historic district. This circa 1871’s townhome, built by Avelle Goerz. The home is almost all original construction, an addition has been added
to the back of the home for modern kitchen and bathrooms.



The main part of the home has the original heart pine floors, pocket doors, four fireplaces, the original woodwork and stair case. All to give you the feel of what it was like in 1870's living in Historic Savannah. The home has many antiques that we have collected over the years, including the antique deep cast iron tub Feature a second-floor bedroom balcony. Amenities include a washer/dryer unit, Cable, Flat Screen smart TV, Wi-Fi, central heating & cooling two systems upstairs and down.

Essential items provided for guests. Toilet paper, Hand and body soap, One towel per guest plus extras, One pillow per guest plus extras, Linens for each guest bed.

On site private Parking:
Parking is available for guests starting at check in time 4 PM to check out time 11 AM during the dates you have booked. If you want to park earlier or later approval from owner is required.

Great place!

We all loved the house! The place had a lot of charm and plenty of room for the four of us to spread out when need be. The included parking was super convenient and we were in walking distance to all the attractions. We were actually a little bummed it wasn’t listed as available for next St. Patrick’s Day. Would highly recommend!

Charming, clean, convenient home

Steve’s place is located in a beautiful area, convenient to seeing historic/downtown and waterfront. It was so nice to have parking, which is hard to come by in Savannah. The home was clean, well cared for and the beds were comfortable. Steve was very responsive and accommodating. Would stay again when we return.

Wonderful week

Really enjoyed our week at the townhouse. Lovely place and well stocked kitchen. All appliances worked well. Location in the historic district was perfect for walking everywhere within 15-20 minutes. Some city road noise as expected (not excessive) but no issues with loud people walking by, quiet at night. Enjoyed having the patio and parking spot immensely!

Historic experience

This home is fabulous for people who enjoy historic homes. The furnishings are authentic to the time frame. It is amazing - felt I lived in my own historic home tour. Enjoy!

Savannah Stay

We spent two nights in the 1871 Townhouse while passing through Savannah. We absolutely loved the house, it's amazing. The location is great for walking, and anytime you can find a free parking place in Savannah that's a huge bonus. Steven was excellent at communicating with us and information on Savannah in the house was very helpful. We could not have been happier with our experience.

Great location , not far from the riverfront. The townhome was adorable , had that southern touch to it. So much to see and do. We appreciated our host , he was very responsive, easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend the townhouse. Hope to go back!

Birthday/Ladies trip

I’ve lived in Savannah off and on for more than 30 years, but I wanted to spend my birthday here with out of town family/ friends. This house really delivered! The house is tastefully decorated. Great location within easy walking distance of all the down town restaurants, shops and attractions….but just far enough away to avoid the loud late night tour and party groups. Very nice neighbors who are full time residents. Comfy beds…Well maintained & Very clean property…Kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms, Frig and freezer were spotless and the dishwasher was quiet. Parking was a breeze! ( and that’s a huge challenge with many similar locations) The house felt secure and safe. Traffic noise was not bad at all in the evenings. The owner was super responsive when I asked about the type of coffee machine (drip) and during my quick call for door code at check in. No other contact needed, as we didn’t have a single issue during our stay. Would certainly book again. Lovely property!

Beautiful Property and Convenient to Everything

We arrived to find the property clean and inviting. The check-in process was very easy. We were very impressed by the furnishings and the ambiance of the property. The beds were comfortable, and the step stools to get into the bed in he owner's suite were very helpful. The front bedroom can be a little noisy as it is next to the street. Our family members had a white noise machine which was helpful on Friday night (motorcycles and loud music). There were also extra pillows which were helpful as well. The only thing that would have made it a perfect stay would have been the availability of paper towels, facial tissue, and kitchen linens. We will attempt to book this propert on our next visit! Thank you Steve!

Warm & Welcoming

Location, location, location. Wonderful, warm and comfortable with lots of charm. We loved our stay here and the communications with Steve was great. He was very quick with responding to any questions we had. The only thing we wished was different was to have 2 showers instead of having one shower and one tub.

Girls Weekend

The house is great. The location of the house is on a nice quiet street. Your proximity to shopping, squares, restaurants, ghosts and all things Savannah are all within a short stroll. The house was clean and exactly how it is presented in the listing. The kitchen had everything you would need to use. It was nice that there wasn't an abundance of other people's food items left behind in the fridge or cabinets. Overall our trip to Savannah and lodging were perfect!

Fantastic property

We loved the location of this town home. It was easy to walk to everything in the hostoric district. The home itself is lovely and meticulously clean. There is loads of historic charm in this house, combined with just the right amount of modern convenience. The beds were comfortable and welcoming after a long day of exploring. Our host Steve was a great communicator and the check in and out was simple. We will be coming back on our next trip to Savannah. Thanks Steve!

Historic Savannah at its BEST!!!

Great location, beautiful townhome

We really enjoyed the stay! Walked everywhere, plenty of room for the three adults, plenty of towels, and dishes. The two parking spaces were great as our adult daughter drove down the next morning.

I'm a retired businessman. Still use this townhouse off and on during the year and our second home is near Richmond Hill.

Why they chose this property

I picked this townhouse as it had not been altered from the original construction. It still has the feel of living in Savannah back during the 1800, very little has been changed from how it was originally built, with the original woodwork, pocket door between the parlor and dining rooms, original staircase, and heart pine floors. If you are in love with historic homes , you will love this townhome. The second reason was the townhouse's near ideal location, the home is in a residential area where most of the neighbors are retired. It is a safe and quiet neighborhood. Everything is within walking distance, and the added bonus of onsite private parking and courtyard.

What makes this property unique

Parking is at a premium downtown; we have two private parking places on the property. We also have free parking in the front of the town house. The home is located between Habersham and Price Streets. The row houses were built in two sections both have different architectural features my home is in the oldest section near the center of the block with the only balcony in the front, the front of my home was in the Clint Eastwood's Movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" as the Row house with the blue painted front door next to mine "Lady Chablis" came out of during the movie and walked in front of my home. I've furnished my home with all the antiques I have collected over the years. We have a Major Movie Studio Here in Savannah so don't be surprised to see Movies being shot downtown.
