Charming House and Beautiful Pool

Wonderful family set up. The hosts are great and the house is well equipped. The pool is lovely and a beautiful setting, especially in the evening. The house is in an historical area and parks and groceries are in walking distance (under a mile). We would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was perfect for my family. Location is close to beaches and everything we needed. The hosts were so attentive, kind, and very much wanted us to enjoy the house, area, and our vacation. This place will always be our #1 pick!

Perfect vacation home

Absolutely beautiful home inside and out! Convenient location. Lots of beach and pool toys, towels, chairs, even a wagon! Plenty of room for us and our three teenage kids. Owners are super friendly! We hope to come back soon!

Perfect place for a family get away!

Perfect property for a family to have a get away. The place was super clean, the owners are right next door and available for all our needs. We will for sure re book with them next time we are in town.

Awesome stay. Gabrielle and John were super nice and helpful. House is nice, clean and has everything that we needed. Pool with salty water. Beach toys, chairs, noodles, boards, beach blankets, and even a vagon 😎Outside areas to relax and smoke if you need to. Outside gas BBQ. Parking that fits two cars.Quiet neighborhood, very convenient location about 5-7min to the grocery store and 15 min to the Lido beach. Definitely recommend it.

Best Vacation Ever

Gabby and John are very nice and welcoming people and are the absolute best. The place was very nice and clean very home like with very friendly and quiet neighborhood. Access to beaches was very close and this being the first time my kids had been to the beach and they absolutely loved it. My husband and John reconnected after all these years from being out of the army and he was ecstatic to see his brother again. I would absolutely recommend anyone that wanted a family oriented getaway to stay at there place. Thank you John and Gabby for everything I am so glad we came there to vacation and it def won’t be the last!

Awesome stay for family of 5

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The bedrooms & bathrooms are spacious, the main living room is cozy/functional. Our kids really enjoyed the bunk room. We loved the pool and the backyard area. The location is awesome - a quick drive to our favorite spot Lido Beach, close to docks/boat ramps for fishing, close to the grocery store and great restaurants. The hosts were inviting/friendly & available/responsive if we had any needs. We would love to come back to stay again in the future :)

Month in paradise

Gabby and John are great host! Answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner.The house was great had a lot of amenities. We loved the heated saltwater pool. Close to the beach and restaurants. Rode our bikes downtown and to the beach. We had our dogs and found very nice dog park in Gillespie park not far from the house. We had wonderful time and would consider staying in your place again.

Great fit for our family

The house and pool matched the listed description. It was perfect for our family. We stayed for a month, working remotely and had our adult kids join on weekends. Although most activities nearby aren’t reachable on foot, beaches and restaurants are a short car ride away (downtown-10 minutes, 15 min to Lido Key beach, 20-25 min to Siesta Key beach). We had our dog with us and appreciated the fenced yard and screened in porch. Enjoyed the owners, John/Gaby who were great-always responsive when we brought issues to their attention. We’ll be returning.

Wonderful

This was such a nice place to stay! Extremely clean, with all the amenities needed. A few major spices, enough dishes, pots and pans, silverware, beach chairs and umbrellas, etc. Washer and dryer equipped with laundry detergent. Enjoyed the shampoo and shower gel provided. Enough toilet paper, papertowels, dish soap, garbage bags were provided. The pool was very nice, and I loved the fenced in back yard, as we could let our dog have freedom to roam. The screened in front porch was fabulous, as this is where we had coffee every morning, and got to watch the squirrels torment and tease our dog-lol. The air-conditioning worked very well, and cooled off the house quite quickly. The check in process was great, as John met us almost immediately as we pulled in and gave us a tour or the house and backyard. We really did not need to contact the owners for anything, as we did not encounter any problems or needed anything, although when I did need to contact them prior to arrival, I never had any problems. The beaches were a very close drive and no problems finding them. We walked to a couple of places, with one place being about a 12-15 minute walk, and downtown being a 30 minute walk. Whenever we walked, I always felt safe. We would give this place an absolute thumbs up and recommend to anyone. Thank you John and Gabby for sharing your home with us! We really enjoyed our stay!!

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and I are retirees who stayed here for three weeks and thoroughly enjoyed every minute despite the poor weather. The house is well laid out, and Gabby and John provided everything we needed. The house is centrally located in Sarasota, and we never drove more than 20 minutes to get to a restaurant or event we wanted to see. The pool was always clean, though I didn't use it as much as I had hoped. The weather wasn't warm enough (for me) to get in until our final week, even though it was heated. There is even a pool alarm, though we chose not to use it. Someone with small children will be thrilled and grateful for this safety feature. We also used the screened-in-front porch to relax in the late afternoon. Gabby and John stayed in touch throughout the visit, so we never had to worry about anything. The only 4-star rating we gave it was for the neighborhood. This house is lovely, as are some others in the area. I'd call it a neighborhood in a comeback phase, but not all the houses are there yet. Happily, there were no loud noises, blaring music, or cars racing up and down the street. We felt secure enough to ask to return in 2025, but unfortunately, our preferred dates were already booked. You, your family, and your dogs will be quite content if you stay here! Our dogs loved the freedom of the fenced yard and happily chased squirrels and lizards without success. We hope you enjoy your vacation as much as we did ours!

Great house

We were a multi generational family making a trip to visit extended family. Property is as described. We had two small dogs and the fenced in backyard was perfect. Pool was awesome and was enjoyed daily. Beds are comfortable and the house had all the appliances you would need. Screen in front porch was a bonus and enjoyed early in the AM while having our coffee.

Great property with wonderful hosts

The home was exactly as advertised. Cozy and adorable. We especially enjoyed the wicker cocoon chair for snuggling with the grandchildren, and while there it became my grandson's favorite nap spot. The pool was a real hit, we were able to host a large family dinner and pool party, plenty of room for everyone (14 people). There are tons to things to do nearby and it is only a few blocks from downtown Sarasota with great restaurants and nightlife.

Wedding tip but also vacation

Had to come to Florida for a wedding, but this rental house made it feel like a vacation. The kids loved the pool. My mom loved the meals she got to cook in the kitchen. My dad loved the screened in porch. May husband loved grilling out by the pool, and I loved the shower. We had a great time.

Amazing place, great location, awesome hosts!

The property was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and with a well-equipped kitchen. Great location within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. We are traveling musicians that live on a detached converted apartment on site. We are world travelers that remain out of site and separated from the home by a fence. Often we are gone traveling or on tour or playing somewhere regionally. Gabby the guitarist works from home in marketing for the Titanic exhibits. John the mandolin player works on songwriting and managing the property.

Why they chose this property

This property is taken care of and is constantly being upgraded between rentals for aesthetic appeal and for guest privacy and enjoyment. We work to create a comfortable space where vacationers can relax with family and friends for time in the house as well as the many nearby attractions. We live for the ocean as sailors, swimmers, and fishers. Being from land-locked origins, we both have the sea in our hearts and want to share the feeling we both get from the area and what it has to offer.
