You will be blown away with how cozy, expertly decorated, and comfortable. You will not want to leave! No wifi and cell service spotty but ours worked fine. Whole shed of wood provided for the fireplace. Highly recommended!!
A fully equipped log cabin, lovingly maintained, in a quiet setting. We enjoyed fires in the fireplace and outdoor fire pit and the sound of the stream.
Exactly as described. Peaceful and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, creek, and cabin details. Overall, a wonderful weekend to reconnect during Hurricane Helene recovery work away from home.
WHAT AN AMZING GET AWAY FROM THE CITY LIFE! Perfect for a Couple Get Away!
Where shall I begin they put their heart and soul into this place and you can tell.
The fire pit is massive and comes with stocked wood 🪵 for a relaxing day/night to remember.
The bed/pillows were extremely comfy! 🛏️
Fully stocked kitchen to prepare all meals.
Lots of land to run free and toss a football.
Quiet and loved they had an old school stereo that also had Bluetooth Capabilities.
Very Clean. BONUS a washer and dryer if you are there for a longer trip.
Only one thing to be noted: ONLY A 🛁 bathtub, no shower.
This place is HIGHLY recommended!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Feels remote but only minutes from good food and about 45 min to an hr to Blowing Rock and Boone. Great place to disconect
, only had one bar of cell service and no wifi. But what's the point of going to a place like this just to stare at screens.
We could not have hoped for a more beautiful home or kinder, more attentive hosts. We loved everything. We enjoyed a beautiful, peaceful weekend in the most exquisite cabin this side of the Mississippi. Thanks!
We have stayed in a lot of cabins in both the east and west coast but this particular cabin was really unique and special. The attention to detail, the decor, the location and privacy, the friendless of Ric was really something special!
I cannot begin to describe how much we truly enjoyed and absolutely loved our experience over all and we will definitely come back soon!
Thank you Ric and Madonna!!!
Absolutely a beautiful cabin that is welcoming and cozy. Love all the attention to details. Really clean and well supplied. Beautiful grounds as well. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend.
Pulling in to the property was immediate peaceful energy for us. The land and home are immaculately taken care of. Would definitely recommend to friends and want to stay again!!
This cabin is beautiful and so is the property it’s on. Ric, the host is great and was very hospitable. Had an awesome time. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved it and would enjoy coming back.
It was awesome! If you're a couple and you're looking for some alone time and you don't care if you have Wi-Fi or not this is the spot you don't hear no sound but the river running behind the house it's decorated with these awesome cool antiques, it has a fireplace that you can use with wood already cut up an awesome relaxing bathtub that has an electric fireplace in the bathroom, there's a washer and dryer I mean you have everything you need for a nice quiet romantic couples retreat! The owners were awesome so I would definitely recommend this relaxing cabin to any couples that just want some alone time!
My dad and I enjoyed the property and finding historical treasures around every turn. We prioritized cooking at home, fire in the fireplace, playing the bluegrass CD’s the host provided and sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. A great quiet place to get away from it all and reconnect with a loved one.

Why they chose this property
This property is adjacent to our "live in" home. We had a portion of the cabin built by friends from Tennessee in 2004 and did the rest ourselves. We take pride in our cabin and hope that our guests will see the love and work that has gone into it as well.
What makes this property unique
Creek surrounds quiet cabin. Hand built timber frame with unique details.
