This is the second time we have stayed in this chalet and we loved it just as much and it snowed! We stayed in the other side this time and accommodations were just as good as the last time. We were in town for a track meet for our son at U of Findlay and this home is walking distance from campus.
Very easy booking and no trouble communicating with host. The location was easy to find and close to many things we ended up doing. It was a great weekend getaway.
The trip was only two nights, but the property manager Paul was very attentive, especially considering a tree had fallen just minutes before we arrived! He made sure that the property was still safe and intact, and was a great host!
We had a wonderful stay, it was quiet despite being in town it had the feeling of being secluded. The owner came and cleaned the pool each day and was available when we needed him. Also the beds were so comfortable the best I have slept on.
The home was clean and had everything you needed just like being home! Was in town but felt really private! The owner was helpful and readily available and came to do maintenance on the pool while we were there! You won’t regret a trip to Paul’s Chalet!
Little get away for myself & 3 daughters. At the last minute we included 6 year old & 9 mo . old Granddaughters . Paul was accommodating to the last minute change. Loved the pool. We would definitely come back.
Had a wonderful time hanging out after a day of shopping and adventuring around. The pool, grill, and deck are well taken care of and gave us plenty of room to relax. The inside is snug and a great place to unwind at the end of the day. The owner was gracious and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. We will be panning to stay here when in this area again,
Cozy property. Location was good for restaurants. Quiet and peaceful for summer. The pool was perfect to relax and float. I wasn’t crazy about the spiral ladder to the loft when descending. Wear pajamas not night gowns so you can watch your foot placement when descending. The bed was very comfortable. The linens were a very nice quality. I would rent again but maybe bring bedding to sleep on couch.
Stay was great until a sewer line problem. Host was very accommodating and made it right but put a damper on my stay. Would definitely do it again as the sewer line was not in their control
Cute little place for an overnight stay, I wouldn’t book to stay any longer than that. We were booked for 2 nights but didn’t stay the second night. There were some plumbing issues, at no fault of the property owner, that was a little inconvenient since we couldn’t use the bathroom for several hours. Also they were putting in pavement blocks in front of the pool deck, which we were informed about the day before we arrived, so we couldn’t get to the pool until the late afternoon on the second day. Overall not a bad stay and very clean and cute place. Would recommend for someone passing through and needing an overnight stay.
The house was a great place to stay. It was comfortable and clean. The pool was well maintained and a blast to swim in. There is plenty to do in the area around the home and plenty of great food as well. I only had two issues during my stay. One was the witch stairs. My wife and I thought they were cute but they are unpleasant to go up and down frequently. They also aren't the most pet friendly, our dog wouldn't even consider going up them on his own. The other is that the hot and cold water on the shower are reversed. It was not a big deal though because once I figured that out it never bothered us and I know it can easily be fixed. Otherwise it was an amazing stay with lots to do.
It was very easy to book this property and correspond with the owner. Encountered no problems and it was just perfect for our weekend getaway. It had everything we needed and was close to many of the local attractions that we came to see.
Great place with an awesome view. Listening to the water flow in the Creek was very relaxing

Why they chose this property
I have admired this property for a number of years because it is so unique: an interesting A-frame chalet adjacent to a beautiful little creek in a surprisingly secluded setting with an above-ground pool but conveniently located next to The University of Findlay. When it became available I immediately bought it and completely renovated the property so that others could enjoy it also.
What makes this property unique
The renovation included installing living room patio doors and a large deck in order to better enjoy the view of the brook which runs right next to the cottage, as well as central air and heat, but retaining the quaint wood-burning stove in the dining room. It also included a leather pull-out couch in the living room along with a massaging recliner and a very modern spiral staircase up to the loft bedroom with queen-size bed, large bean bag sofa and TV.
