Beautiful cabin and amazing views!

We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. It was nicely appointed. The kitchen had everything you needed. Heed the warning about the road to the cabin. You need at least an all-wheel drive. We highly recommend!

Peaceful & Beautiful

We were looking for a calm, beautiful, relaxing getaway for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we sure found it here! This house had the most picturesque view we have ever seen and we spend a lot of time in the mountains. The accommodations are great and the location feels isolated but is close to a lot of things to do.

Nice cabin(for half the booked trip)/ poor communication

The communication by the management company was terrible. We didn't get directions for check in until right we were there (had no service) and luckily someone was checking things were in order and could give us the code so we didn't have to go back down the mountain. There is no after hours number, calling the listed number yields no results. The property listed was great... Until it wasn't. We booked this trip for the separate bedrooms, amazing view, cleanliness, and less clutter as we were traveling with an 8 months old. After 2 days, the cabins water stopped working completely and there was a mouse in the cabin. Apparently it had been an issue and the property manager didn't seem surprised it failed. They offered to move us to a nearby cabin with 2 bedrooms as well. It wasn't 2 bedrooms, it was a lofted bed and a bedroom. It was much older, smaller, cluttered with decorations the baby got into, and the view was way less spectacular. This cabin had to have been cheaper but no cost offset refund was offered or entertained when I asked. We lost half a day moving, half a day resettling and we are normally dreading going home from Bryson City and due to all of the issues we couldn't wait to leave the morning we were due to checkout. This is an annual trip that we feel we were robbed of by poor communication, high cabin price we didn't get to stay in, and added stress from the water quitting.

Read before booking: Poor Communication and Multiple Issues with Stay

Our stay at this property was disappointing due to poor communication and unresolved issues. After booking, we noticed in previous reviews that guests had mentioned a sulfur smell in the water and problems with the hot tub—issues we had missed prior to booking. I reached out to the host, Jennifer, multiple times for clarification but never received a response. Even VRBO was unable to contact her. Per VRBO policy, we should have received the check-in code 72 hours before arrival, but it wasn’t sent until the day before check-in, after numerous attempts to reach her.During our stay, things worsened. On the second morning, and again on Thanksgiving, we woke up to no running water. Thankfully, Jennifer responded and sent someone to repair it within several hours, but the disruption affected our holiday plans. Unfortunately, the lack of communication throughout the process—including ignored questions and delayed check-in details—made the experience stressful and frustrating.Service can make or break a vacation rental, and in this case, it broke ours. While the water issue was eventually fixed, the overall lack of responsiveness and failure to address prior concerns left us deeply disappointed. I cannot recommend this property and hope VRBO addresses these recurring problems with the host.

Excellent Getaway

It was just what we were looking for! A nice, quiet, clean place and a hot tub with a fabulous view. And we got it all! It was an exciting drive to the top, but the stunning view from the top was well worth it! Everything was adequately appointed - we had everything we needed. The cabin was very nicely cleaned and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back!

Spectacular Views

The cabin was beautiful and well layers out. We actually chose to stay at the cabin several days instead of exploring around the area. The view was amazing so no need to travel! We did of course explore the area and loved everything! The climb to the cabin was crazy but worth it!!

Beautiful location

We really enjoyed our short stay! The home was spotless and fully stocked! The Mountain views were spectacular with added bonus of the Northern Lights one night! The road to the home is a challenge. AWD is a must and the road is not only steep and curvy but has deep potholes and ruts. Be sure your first visit is in daylight.

Solid with some caveats

Pros: Cabin was relatively new and was clean. Beds fairly comfortable for a rental. Enjoyed the pool table and great views. Appreciated fire wood bundles provided. Cons: Water had a strong odor of human waste. This was very offsetting and hurt our overall experience. We were gagging due to the smell. We saw a mouse run through the kitchen the first night, and into a crevice to the right bottom side of the stove. The owners need pest control to address this. The hot tub was severely over-chlorinated. When the jets were turned on, it bubbled like a bubble bath, giving off a burning smell of chlorine that hurt my daughter's eyes. Recommend draining the hot tub and filling with clean water. The deck had several warped pieces of wood and a latter was left on it. The WiFi did not work. We were not able to reach the rental company. The only network available did not much the info provided in the binder. The binder provided a user name and password. You don't need a user name to access a WiFi network, you need a password and the network name. Again, they did not match.

View in the sky

Stayed here for the weekend for some fishing and just relaxing. This place is amazing from the cabin itself to the view you get at night and the morning. My only issue is the road to get there. You have to have an AWD/4wd car. It’s a pretty steep incline to get to the cabin. I wouldn’t expect less though with the view you get.

The perfect escape!

This property was exactly as described. After renting many VRBO’s in the past, this property was hands-down the cleanest we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Every amenity we needed was thought of. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. The views are amazing.. God‘s handiwork at its finest.

Absolutely stunning! This home exceeded all expectations. It was immaculate, even more beautiful than the photos on the website could capture. The views were nothing short of amazing, offering a serene and private retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape to a mountain paradise.

Amazing views but tough road to get there

We loved the views from this property and the cabin was immaculate. It’s definitely the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed at. However, while we knew 4WD or AWD was required, we didn’t realize just how steep and rocky the road to get there would be. The neighbors said it was the worst they had seen the road, but we think more description of the rock road and its steepness would be helpful. Make sure you bring extra coolant for your car if going during summer. Additionally, the limit to two trash bags seemed a little ridiculous if people choose to cook most meals at the cabin and use bottled water due to the smell of sulfur. This was especially frustrating because the trash and recycling center that they suggested dropping excess trash off at doesn’t open until 1 pm on Sundays. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

A beautiful cabin with glorious view!

We thoroughly enjoy staying this beautiful cabin. The front porch view was breathtaking. Everything was clean and functional. It’s a bit of an uphill drive to get to the cabin. But well worth it!

Beautiful Views

Had a great time. Views are amazing along with the sunsets. You do need 4wd or AWD to get up the rocky steep hills leading to the property. All in all very nice property and house. Well stocked kitchen and hot tub was nice.

Great time at grand view

This place is amazing! View is outstanding, cabin is magnificent. It did not bother us, but be warned the drive up to the cabin is likely the steepest road you will ever travel. You must have a reliable well functioning 4wd or AWD vehicle to make this trip. Our only hiccup on the trip was not receiving the code to get in until tracking down the host and calling directly. This created a considerable amount of anxiety after traveling from Michigan and reserving this place sight unseen. Our host was gracious and helpful when we reached her, but we spent a couple hours very worried trying to figure out how we would get in.

Peaceful and Perfect

We had a bit of a time getting there. Our directions indicated one of the cabins we were supposed to pass was on the right but it was really in the left so it had us second guessing ourselves and we got turned around. We went back down to the main road where we had service and called the property manager who quickly got us back on track. After the little hiccup we arrived and this cabin was worth every bit of it! I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a cabin that checked all the boxes as this one did! The view is amazing and the cabin was spotless! We enjoyed our stay and would have been perfectly fine staying in the whole week! 4WD was a must! Some rentals say that and really aren’t, but this one is legit. We came prepared so it was fine. My only suggestion would be to maybe include some more landmarks (cabin names) in the directions as the road signs closer to the cabin weren’t really clear. AMAZING rental. Thank you for sharing!

Unreal Mountain Paradise

My wife and I just got back from a 4-night stay. WOW! The home is perfect- spacious, new and clean, with all the right amenities for an upscale stay. The location is isolated, which really makes you feel like you are far away from everything- a great break from our routine. And the view...what can I say? There is nothing but trees for literally hundreds of miles. Make sure you plan on being on the deck for the sunsets. What a treat! We plan on coming back often. Everything was perfect!!!
