Lake fun

The lake house was great for family fun. Lots of bedroom and bathroom space for a our large group of 4 adults and 5 grandchildren. The dock was the highlight of the trip. The home could use a deep clean but surface areas were fine. The downstairs basement area is a bit dated and needs some TLC but overall a good area and would rent again. The owner was a pleasure to coordinate with.

Beautiful cabin

Cabin was beautiful and big enough for our family. Unfortunately, the lake was way down, but the view was still very pretty. As with many cabins in the area, the road leading into the area is winding and narrow. Recommend that you make it for the first time in daylight.

We had a wonderful time on the lake and dock. The cabin was great and had most everything we needed. The parking is a little tight but we made it work.

Cabin on the lake

Overall I will say this trip was a plus. The cabin was as pictured. I do wish it had more sitting space in the main living room for a house with seven beds the couch area could have been bigger. The view from the deck on the lake was gorgeous, the same with the view from the house balcony absolutely gorgeous. I loved the fact that the two bedrooms upstairs have their own balconies. Just be warned that the road to the house is one way so be on the lookout for other drivers coming from the opposite direction and the driveway to the house is steep. But none of these things would stop me from renting again I absolutely love the house

The cabin and property manager are top notch!

I knew as we drove through the neighborhood that this would be amazing. We had rented a pontoon and Bill was on point getting us GPS coordinates for the dock. Communication with Bill was fast and he was helpful. The cabin was clean and check-in was easy. We enjoyed almost all of the experience. It was difficult to enjoy the outside during the day because the cabin next door was remodeling and the property next door to that was building something that required a chainsaw. They started at 8 am and ended at 5 pm. There was no relaxing at the cabin during the day. We tried to use the hot tub but there were so many chemicals in it we couldn't stay in because the chemicals we causing us to cough. We tried adding more water and keeping it uncovered, but it didn't help. The last issue we ran into was the grill had not been cleaned in a while, so when we tried to grill, we had a large grease fire and had to finish our food in the kitchen. We were very comfortable in the evening and the beds made for good sleeping. We would stay there again, but we would make sure these things were addressed before booking.

Family spring break

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Baer House. The location was great! Drive in was intimidating but we got used to it. Beautiful lake views. Can’t wait to return for a stay in the summer when we can enjoy the lake.

The bathrooms was the biggest disappointment. They were very small. You should check behind your cleaning people, we found popcorn on the floor upstairs when we got there. Everything else was good.

Perfect family or group getaway

This House was beautiful! It had everything we needed to enjoy our Holiday. We brought in the New Year with our adult children- and we truly enjoyed everything the home had to offer… easy lake access, hot tub, fires (inside and at the fire pit)… we also spent many hours on the deck admiring the view! This is the perfect home for a larger group or family to simply get away!

Awesome Cabin!!

We went for my husband and both of my children's birthday. The cabin was very nice and clean. The view was breathtaking. And the owners were very nice and accommodating. We would highly recommend this cabin for a family getaway.

Beautiful lakeside retreat

This is a beautiful property right on the lake. The house is spacious and has plenty of activities. The dock by the lake is so much fun for swimming. We will definitely return. The owner is very attentive to any needs.

Beautiful property

We had an absolute lovely stay at this cabin. It is a beautiful piece of property and very close to the marina (by boat) so great if you plan to rent a boat. Our only complaint was about the cleanliness. It appears the vacuum needed to be switched because there were a lot of crumbs all over the floor and couch when we got there and when we found the vacuum it added to the mess instead of helping. Small hiccup that was more important for our group with young children crawling on the ground. I say that not to deter you and emphasize that was our only hiccup. We would absolutely stay again, but hopeful it will be a little cleaner when we get there. Communication was exceptional.

What makes this property unique

We had been looking for mountain lake property for several years but when we saw our cabin we bought it that day. The drive down the dirt road getting to the property seemed to make the horrible traffic in Atlanta seem like a distant memory. When we went out on the lake that day we were the only boaters to be seen and the surrounding mountains were pristine and beautiful. Since most of the lake is in the Chattahoochee National Forest you will find that to be commonplace. Couple that with the quiet and friendly neighbors and the beautiful sunsets from the dock and you'll never want to leave!
