Entire house, fully fenced in back yard. Close to everything.
Ginger's House is a single level home, featuring three bedrooms, a 65" TV, gas logs and an awesome sun room. The back yard is fully fenced in. There is former detached garage that is now a studio on the property. It is in the back right corner of the lot, outside the back yard fence. It has its own fenced in area. There maybe guests there during your stay. They will not have access to Gingers House and you will not have access to the studio. We also have an RV that guests use when we are not using it. It is parked all the way in back. There maybe guests in it as well. As with the studio, they will not have access to Gingers House. The only shared area is the parking, and there is plenty of it. Feel free to message me if you have further questions or concerns.

Ginger house was absolutely perfect for our weekend stay for kids sports activities. Check in process and communication was stellar. Location was amazing! House was super clean with adequate amenities for our stay. Ready to book for next year already!
Ginger’s house is a quiet and cozy retreat in a nice neighborhood. It’s close to everything you may need in Midlothian and my parents, husband and our two little boys shared the space comfortably. The owner is very responsive and easy to get in touch with if there is an issue. The home is clean and the washer/dryer was a huge plus. Thanks for having us!
Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The house was better than the pictures in the listing. Jeff got back to us very quickly with answers to our 2 questions. This is the place to stay if you are attending a function at the boat house. Highly recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Would have been great except for dangerous floors.
New vinyl flooring had been installed that was buckling to the point of throwing people off balance. It was especially noticeable in the hallway by the main bathroom. In multiple places the flooring was not glued down and a sharp edge of 1/2 inch was exposed. This was a safety hazard for the infant and a toddler in our group. The owner did not message us about the floor issues until after we had checked in. He did later offer another home but we chose not to move as we did not know the condition of that house. I believe that the owner should have communicated the flooring issues either in the listing or in a message directly to us prior to our arrival.
This was a great home for us while we had our floors refinished. The location was close to the normal weekly activities for our family. We could spread out and be comfortable.
Ginger’s House was perfect for our short family reunion in Midlothian. House was in a very central location, close to lots of shops and amenities. House was clean and just as described. Fenced yard was perfect for our doggie so we didn’t have to board her! Just was very responsive to requests; house instructions and check in/out were clear and simple. Thank you!
Everything was great! It is wonderful to have a nice house with a great yard to stay in. This was our second year staying here and we are very satisfied. We will come back again.
The house was great for our family. It was stocked well and there was plenty of room for all of us, 2 adults and 3 teens. It was a great stay, the only issue we had was the people in the studio ringing the doorbell at 11:45pm asking if we were the owners.
Very clean and well-appointed. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pup! The location is close to all kinds of restaurants and grocery stores. We spent the day in downtown Richmond, but were glad to head back to the house and relax before finding a nice local spot for dinner (Annie Ruth’s Wine Bar & Bistro was excellent). The neighborhood was quiet with nice big trees.
We would definitely stay here again!
We were there for a quick weekend and some soccer. House was PERFECT and we all were comfortable and had great sleep! Would absolutely stay again of the opportunity arises.
We came into town for a family holiday party. It was a great place and good location from where we needed to be. House was clean and beds were very comfortable. It was great to have our dog with us and have the backyard fence in. Would stay again! Thanks for having us!
Pros
1. Close to destination
2. Convenient to restaurants & shopping
3. Quiet, private neighborhood
4. Beautiful sunroom
5. Ceiling fans in bedrooms
6. Fenced yard
Cons
1. Poor communication which surprised me as this is rated “Premiere Host”. I reached out for the address 1 week prior to arrival as I hadn’t had any contact. Host told me I needed to make a reservation before the info could be shared. Since I received a confirmation in July this felt as though we had dropped off the radar. I had no check-in info until I reached out the day of our arrival (3 hrs into our 6 hr drive). Again, I felt as though we had been forgotten.
2. The beds were very low and uncomfortable. Since the doors appeared to be the width of a handicapped-accessible home I double-checked the listing to ensure I hadn’t missed that piece and we should’ve expected this situation. Definitely need to invest in new mattresses.
3. Backyard is a fall risk due to deep piles of slippery leaves obscuring the stairs/walkway. There’s no lighting from the back porch to the gate so leave the porch light on since you’re parking and entering/exiting through the back once you unlock from the front door. I understand the neighborhood/property is filled with oak trees however, when expecting a scheduled arrival (specific date after 4PM) I think it would create a safer situation by having the walkway cleared and lighted.
This was the perfect spot for my group while in town to visit for Thanksgiving. The house was clean, cozy, and convenient to everything we needed. The fenced in large backyard was an added bonus for traveling with our dog. The neighborhood was so nice for walking as well-and near Hull St. I highly recommend, we'd stay here again if we're in the area.
The house is beautiful and is the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. 6 of my family stayed and it was plenty enough room for all. The one thing that was a downside was that there is another rental on the property as well as a possible RV rental so while the house is private the whole property is not and the parking is doable but a bit awkward and cramped. I feel this should have been noted in the ad. Otherwise, this was an awesome place to stay and worked well for my family. Would stay again if in the area.
