Great location!
We were met by the owner Damir who had been very helpful in arranging transfers from the airport prior to our arrival. Very friendly and lives on site.
The property location was fantastic. It was a 5 minute walk to a bakery and 15 minute walk to a mini market.in the small village of Orsaac. It was also a 12 minute walk to the Sun Gardens Dubrovnik hotel. The real plus was being able to use their restaurants/bars and book excursions through their booking booths on site. Although the restaurants were not cheap.
Be aware that the return to the villa is up 120 very steep steps and so 30 minute return walk.
The villa itself was enormous.. Large and lofty with the most amazing uninterrupted views. Stunning. The owner is planning some renovations which is needed. Basic maintenance is required such as repair of broken sun beds. window shutter, shower and doors not closing or locking to bedrooms. The pool was also cloudy and not as clean as it could be although it didn’t deter the kids. Also no air con. Despite these issues it didn’t cause any major problems, having 6 teenagers in the house meant we did not need to worry as much.
Had some amazing excursions to the islands and a water taxi return to Dubrovnik which were great and organised through the hotel..
Overall a fantastic holiday in a fantastic location. Once the villa is brought up to its full glory it will be 5*. Thanks to Damir and family.
