Great location close to the park. There were some nice places to eat nearby - Copper Creek and “Restaurant” on the way back from the park. House had all the amenities and a beautiful spot on the river. Beds were very comfortable and we appreciated two king sized bedrooms! Listing was accurate and we got to see the neighborhood herd of elk several times!
Property was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. We enjoyed our stay.

Visiting fro the half marathon
The town was cute but be prepared to buy groceries before staying there. Restaurants were limited. I would recommend doing the train ride. The mountain was beautiful and the weather was great.
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay. The house was very well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our kids loved the loft areas and we all enjoyed the river. Very quiet and nice neighborhood and close to lakes and mount rainier NP.
Met all our needs. Responsive hosts, great location.
Kids loved the little bunk loft up top. They had a bunch of supplies and it is close to everything . Hosts were very responsive. Just didnt expect there to be so many mosquitos but not their fault. Just nature.
Our stay was quiet and relaxing. It was nice to get away from our rural suburb and experience the crisp fresh air accompanied by the sound of the river. We enjoyed a quick adventure at Railcycle Mt Rainer and spent the rest of the weekend wishing we had planned for more to fill our days, as there isn't much to do "spontaneously" that far away from any bigger towns.
We thoroughly enjoyed the house by the river. It was more wooded than I realized from the description and we enjoyed that immensely. The river was my kids favorite spot and we spent hours watching the sun set and enjoying the views from there.
The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. Great spot!
Relaxing Nisqually Location With Abundant Wildlife in the Front Yard
We chose this location to be close to both Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. Our adult children were going to meet up with us but could not due to work. Even though there were not any reviews we thought we would take a chance and we are glad we did!
Communication with the owners was excellent from the start. Kevin accepted our request right away and gave us instructions on how to get to the property a week in advance. The property is in a gated community with lots of land in between properties. It is located right on the Nisqually river. Even though you cannot see the river very well through the trees, it is a short, one minute walk to the beautiful river. On a clear day, one can see Mt. Rainier. The house is situated perfectly in the trees so you can have a peaceful, relaxing stay. The wildlife is abundant in the area and we saw elk out the front door! Walking into the kitchen and looking out the window, the elk was standing right outside close enough to take beautiful pictures without zoom. They were eating the grass in the front yard. That made the stay the best!
The house has a minimalist feel without needing or wanting for anything. The owners have a lovely wood stove which is a great way to spend the cold nights. They even cut wood and kindling to make the stay easier. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own dishes. They even have a baking dish - we made cinnamon rolls. The touches throughout the kitchen are nice. They did not skimp on glasses, silverware, dishes, pots & pans, etc. The appliances are all in working condition and the stove is very nice. It has a washer and dryer for those longer stays. The master bed was very comfy and they had a lot of pillows to choose from. The linens were a nice touch too. Really - it has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Book now, you will not be disappointed! Make sure you come back before 6:00pm to watch the elk in the front yard.
