Lovingly renovated fisherman's house by the sea

The house is an old fisherman's house (Skånelänga), built around 1920, which has been lovingly renovated in recent years.
It is beautifully situated in a small village (Balkåkra), only 3 km from the sea and sandy beach. There are also several swimming lakes in the vicinity. The small town of Ystad is 6 km away and the larger cities of Lund and Malmö are around 60 km away. Copenhagen is also easy to reach from there. Beautiful destinations nearby are Kåseberga with Ale Stenar, Stenshuvud with Rörums Strand and Sandhammaren, the beach with the finest and whitest sand in all of Sweden.
 
The house has about 130 square meters.  On the ground floor there is a kitchen, bathroom, living and dining room and master bedroom (double bed).
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms: 1 children's bedroom (2 separate beds) and 1 guest room (a large bed, 130 cm wide), TV and study, 1 small shower / bath with toilet.
The house has a beautiful, protected garden. It is fully equipped, plus a trampoline and 2 bicycles for adults and 2 children's bicycles.

Schöne Ferienunterkunft
Ein sehr persönlich eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit Garten, das aber noch nicht 100% fertig renoviert ist. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen Und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne würden wir auch wiederkommen.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub
Hübsches Ferienhaus in der Nähe der Ostsee und einiger Seen, die mit Fahrrädern schnell zu erreichen sind. Mit dem Auto ist man in 10 min. in Ystad. Bahnhof im Dorf, sodass auch Malmö, Lund und sogar Kopenhagen gut und schnell zu erreichen sind. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Great place for a relaxed stay in Southern Sweden's nature
Overall, our vacation at Ystad-Balkåkra was great and the house was a nice place to stay. In combination with the really good weather, we enjoyed the garden, could use the bikes for trips to the beach nearby etc. Although some of the inventory and rooms were a bit damp (high humidity) and some doors pretty narrow/low (I had to learn not hitting my head ;)), it was great for staying as a family and enjoying both the time in the house as well as outside. Also the information material, equipment (games, kitchen etc.) and overall inventory was full of hospitality and family-friendliness. The area nearby with other villages, houses and woods is very nice, however, we missed a bit paths for walking/hiking/running: the only option is to use the side of the streets, which became a bit challenging to be safely seen (hilly area and partly busy traffic). To go by car and/or bike to pedestrian paths along the coast or in Ystad city etc. was then often the better alternative; esp. for the rest of the family. Finally, the overall organization (initial contact, information before, clarification of details after departure etc.) was excellent: on the spot, very helpful and friendly. Thanks again!!

Gemütliches Haus in schöner Umgebung
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem gemütlichen, gut ausgestatteten Haus. Für unseren Sohn gab es viele Spielmöglichkeiten. Der Garten war ideal zum Erholen. Und die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war zuverlässig und schnell.

Entspannter Urlaub in Skåne
Wir haben zwei entspannte Urlaubswochen in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus nur wenige Kilometer von Ystad verbracht. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es verfügt über einen abgeschlossenen Garten mit großen Bäumen, in dem wir uns sehr gerne aufgehalten haben. Der nächstgelegene Strand befindet sich in Svarte und ist mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Ausflugsziele wie Malmö, Lund oder Kopenhagen lassen sich wunderbar mit dem Zug erreichen, der Bahnhof befindet sich ebenfalls in Svarte.

Gemütliches Haus in toller Lage
Das Haus ist liebevoll renoviert und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht, eine schöne Kombination aus alt und neu. Die Bilder vermitteln einen sehr guten Eindruck. Der Fernseher ist ins Obergeschoss verbannt, im Wohnzimmer gibt es Spiele, eine Dartscheibe, eine kleine Musikanlage mit Kassettensammlung und CDs. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber trotzdem zentral und mit dem Auto sind die Supermärkte in Ystad schnell zu erreichen. Auch der Bahnhof in Svarte ist nicht weit entfernt. Von dort kommt man super z. B. nach Malmö oder Kopenhagen. Die Strände in der Umgebung sind traumhaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und der Urlaub hätte gerne noch etwas länger sein dürfen.

Charmantes Ferienhaus (ehemaliges Fischerhaus) in Ostseenähe
Liebevoll eingerichtetes und behutsam renoviertes, charaktervolles Feriendomizil für alle, die im Urlaub Entschleunigung suchen. Ruhige, meernahe Lage. Großer Garten mit verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten und Sonnenplätzen. Solide, leistungsfähige Fahrräder vor Ort, mit denen alle notwendigen Besorgungen und Ausflüge in das interessante (auch städtische) Umland problemlos zu bewältigen sind. Das Ferienhaus wird von den Eigentümern auch privat genutzt, was sich absolut positiv auf die Wohnlichkeit und behagliche Atmosphäre des Objekts auswirkt. Ein Geheimtipp, den man am liebsten für sich behalten würde.

Toller Urlaub für die ganze Familie
Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung im skandinavischen Stil sorgt gleich für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und die Ausstattung lässt keinen Wunsch offen. Unseren jugendlichen Kindern hat sehr gut gefallen, dass es viel Platz gab und jede/r ein Zimmer für sich hatte - ja, wir haben ihnen sogar das ganze Obergeschoss überlassen, wo sie auch noch ein gemütliches Sofa und den Fernseher für sich hatten. Wir Eltern haben dafür das große Wohnzimmer mit Essbereich genossen, wo wir an einem kühlen Abend den Kamin anmachen konnten. Die große Attraktion war für die Kids die Darts-Scheibe! Auch den Garten haben wir sehr genossen, entweder zum gemütlichen Frühstücken am Gartentisch, zum Lesen oder für die eine oder andere Partie Wikingerschach. Mit den Fahrrädern, die zum Haus gehören, haben wir einige kleine Ausflüge zum Beispiel an den Strand von Svarte oder nach Ystad hinein gemacht. Gut geklappt hat auch die Kombination nach Svarte Station zu radeln und dann von dort aus mit dem Zug weiterzufahren, z.B. nach Ystad oder Lund. Wir hatten zwei wunderbar erholsame Wochen, die wie im Flug vergangen sind, und sind voller schöner Erinnerungen zurück nach Hause gefahren. Tack så mycket!

Erholsame Zeit in Ystad
Wir haben zwei erholsame Wochen verbracht, das Haus passte genau zu unseren Anforderungen und der Garten hat es perfekt abgerundet. Balkåkra ist gut zwischen den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Skåne gelegen und mit Bahn oder Fahrrad kommt man gut zu allen Punkten.

Charmantes romantisches Fischerhaus
Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und uns hat es in dem wundervoll eingerichteten, charmanten Ferienhaus an nichts gefehlt. Allerdings zwei kleine Anmerkungen: Wir waren im Oktober dort und man konnte bei Ankunft doch bemerken, dass mehrere Wochen niemand dort gewohnt hat. Außerdem gibt es nur ein gewisses Kontingent an W-LAN ( was nach 2 Tagen aufgebraucht war) . Das sollte man vielleicht wissen, wenn man in der kühleren und doch auch mal verregneten Jahreszeit dort Urlaub macht.

Ein altes Haus mit viel Charme
Bei dem Haus handelt es sich um ein altes Fischerhaus, welches in den letzten Jahren durch die Besitzer ausgebaut wurde. Innen ist das Haus sehr schön und gemütlich. Es gehört ein Garten mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und einem Trampolin zum Haus. Für den Weg zur Ostsee stehen Fahrräder zur Verfügung. Das Haus ist ein schöner, gemütlicher Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen in Skane.

Hübsches liebevoll saniertes Haus
Hallo liebe Familie Engels, vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus. Wie beschrieben handelt es sich um ein altes Fischerhaus, das mit viel Fleiß und Liebe zum Detail modernisiert wurde. Lediglich im Garten ist noch ein wenig Potenzial vorhanden; aber man kann nicht alles gleichzeitig machen 😀 Das Haus liegt günstig; nur 3km zum Strand und 6km nach Ystad. Dort gibt es auch alles, was man braucht, sogar einen Lidl und Netto 😀 Das Haus ist für Familien mit Kinder geeignet. Wir selbst waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern da. Da die Eigentümer selbst Kinder haben, findet sich überall Spielzeug für jede Altersklasse. Verbesserungsfähig wäre noch ein Treppenschutz, da die Treppe wirklich sehr steil und für Kinder unter 6 nicht gerade ungefährlich ist. Wir hätten mit jedenfalls eine ruhigere Zeit gehabt 😀

The Ystad House and Home
Just back from two very enjoyable weeks in this comfortable and well equipped house. The owners have spent many years restoring this former fisherman's cottage to what they can now rightly and proudly describe as their second home. The house is situated in an attractive rural setting but well within easy reach of the sea and the beautiful coastal town of Ystad. The owners have thoughtfully provided information on the many local attractions which proved extremely useful to us. In conclusion, although we have never met the owners, they were extremely friendly and helpful to us on the telephone and we have no hesitation in recommending this home from home to future holiday makers.
