About this property

Beachfront condo at Island Winds West in Gulf Shores

Come and relax in our completely remodeled 5th floor beach front condo. Everything is new. Fully stocked kitchen with all new stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, and all the small appliances provided for your convenience. The living room has a 50-inch HD TV, queen sleeper sofa, comfortable seating, and a 4-person dining table for eating and games. The bedroom has a king bed with memory foam mattress and HD TV. Free Wifi. Full size washer and dryer. Best location in Gulf Shores. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Located directly on the beautiful white sand beach.

Parking is limited to one (1) car. You will receive an email in advance of your arrival to register and pay for your parking pass. If you do not receive it, please let us know. You must complete this step in advance of your arrival. Upon arrival, you will need to visit the Island Winds East front desk to pick up your parking pass. Island Winds West is currently charging $50 per parking pass. This price can change at any time, without notice. As owners, we do not agree with the rates charged for parking and leave a gift card to a local restaurant for each guest to cover some of the cost.

Beach chairs and umbrellas are not provided (no storage space for them). There are beach chairs and umbrellas for rent on the beach most times of the year. Rates shown in the photos are as of April 2025.

Wonderful Beach Stay

This condo was perfect for my husband and I for a nearly week long stay. It is just as lovely as it looks in the photos. It was very clean, well equipped, had great towels, linens and a comfy bed, and a wonderful balcony where we had morning coffee and listened to the waves at night. It’s a short walk to The Hangout for music and food, and there are a couple of other places to grab food and drinks nearby too. The beach is beautiful! The owners were wonderful to work with, and even gave us a fun suggestion for something to do on one of our days.We hope to be back very soon!

The condo was awesome! The decorations were awesome, the room was very accommodating. We had everything we needed. The host were very nice and quick to answer leading up to our stay. We enjoyed it, and hope to be back.

Great view, great location

Nicely updated unit in an older building. The view is fantastic, great location not being sandwiched between massive condos so the beach wasn't too crowded. Parking was easy and you could zip in and out easily. Close to the center of gulf shores. The only gripe and this is not the fault of the owners, was seating on the beach. Don't bother renting umbrella and chairs, people will just come sit right in front of you while Ike's just takes your money. Also you don't get a refund or prorated or anything even if it's 30mph winds and double red flags. Very frustrating but won't let that happen again. Ike's 0/5 stars, our room and property 5/5

Beautiful gulf front condo

We’re from East Coast of FL. Came into town for family reunion. Other family had different units. Gulf Shores was good location for all to meet. The reservation process, check in, cleanliness, recommendation for food, etc.. were all easy and appreciated. No problems, only beautiful weather, nice beach, and comfortable condo. Thank you.

Breath takingly beautiful

From the moment we opened the front door we were greeted with the most beautiful view of the Gulf. We spent hours out on the balcony watching sun rises and sunsets with dolphins in between. Fabulous place to stay, and we plan on coming back this summer.

Beautiful condo, beautiful beach, wonderful time. Owner's Jim & Kathy were extremely thoughtful and easy to communicate with. We loved watching the dolphins every morning either from the balcony, beach, and/or the warm gulf waters!

Type A dream come true

Took my daughter for a girls weekend and she was in Heaven with how well stocked and organized this place was! Loved all the storage spaces even though we didn’t need them all. I travel with a small fan but there was one already in the bedroom. Communication with the owner couldn’t have been better. Will definitely stay here again!

Clean and beachfront

We thoroughly enjoyed our monthlong stay here. The condo is thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. It’s as pretty as the pictures. The owners left a booklet with information about the media system, local restaurants, and things to do. It was great. This is our first visit to Alabama, but it won’t be our last. We would definitely stay here again.

Girls Beach Trip and Shrimp Festival.

We had a great time at the Shrimp Festival! The condo was awesome! It was clean, well stocked and the decor was beautiful! It made our beach trip so comfortable!! It is in a great location. It is walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and its right on the beach! I would recommend this condo!

Great condo!

Very clean. Very well decorated. Great access to the beach. Walkable distance to the Hangout and other stores and restaurants. The bed was a bit firm for our liking but we grew used to it. Located right off the elevators so you don’t have to haul all your belongings too far.
