Welcome to our luxurious vacation home, boasting incredible views of Lake Michigan and just a short walk from beach access. (Due to Lake Michigan erosion, the beach access directly across the street may be unavailable. There is another beach access point just 2-3 blocks away)

Step inside the house and be amazed by the large and fully equipped kitchen, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and an oversized island that makes cooking and entertaining a breeze. Enjoy your meals in the expansive screened-in porch, where you can savor your food while admiring the stunning lake views.

At sunset, head up to the rooftop deck for a breathtaking view of the lake, or relax in the oversize outdoor hot tub (additional fee) or around the oversized firepit.

The primary bedroom features a luxurious master bath, and a lofted office area provides a peaceful place to get some work done.

The main house offers three additional bedrooms, with a fifth bedroom in the detached guest house that also features a lofted area with two additional beds, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette.

The basement family room offers beautiful lake views and plenty of space for family fun, including a free retro video gaming machine, ping-pong table, board games, and a TV.

The property is conveniently located close to many restaurants, wineries, breweries, shopping, and casinos, providing plenty of entertainment options during your stay.

A Great Save!

We have been utilizing this weekend getaway for over 20 years, and it is a significant aspect of our annual plans. This year, we ran into a bit of a snafu and we thought that all was lost!In response to this situation, we engaged with VRBO customer service, which proved to be exceptionally effective in facilitating a rebooking. The instant confirmation provided and the constructive dialogue with the property manager regarding our specific needs and preferences were both commendable and professional. Family gathering

Our family of 14 gathered to celebrate our moms 80th birthday. The house was perfect - beds for everyone and two fun legs gathering spaces that were ideal for our group. We’ve rented lots of houses and this one has the best equipped kitchen of any we’ve stayed in. The hot tub was wonderful and the location amazing for walking in the beach and a quick trip to New Buffalo! Trupti was helpful ahead of check in I would go back to this house again.

Thanksgiving Trip

My family and I hosted our Thanksgiving dinner here. Some of the highlights were the view of the lake from most of the rooms and the hottub. We went in the hottub at night in 30 degree weather. I was surprised I didn't get cold. This was one of the nicer hottubs I've been in. They have a game room that was really nice for a large family. The screened in porch was awesome. I can't imagine how nice it must be to stay here in the summer. The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had, even during the holiday. Thankyou so much! This will be a Thanksgiving we will never forget!!

Perfect House for our College Group Reunion

This house is larger than the photos show it. The main room and basement room are very large. It's very well stocked with just about everything you could need. One of the nicest VRBO's that any of us had stayed at. The house was perfect for our reunion and added so much to our enjoyment of the weekend. Our host made check-in a breeze and happily and promptly answered my questions leading up to our trip. Didn't want to leave!

Just What It Says on the Tin

This place was exactly what we were after. Perfect in every way. Beach was easy enough to get to, kids had plenty of space to play, had both the balcony and the screened-in porch as sunset viewing sites… I could go on. In short, if this is the kind of lace you’re looking at, this is the place you want.

Beautiful house and close to the beach

The house was beautiful and spacious for our extended family. The beach is very close and not crowded. If you have an older adult in your party, be aware that there are lots of stairs.

4 Generation Family Vacation

Our family of 16 enjoyed staying at The Green House! We celebrated my Mom’s 80th birthday. Lots of time together as a family playing games and enjoying the nearby beach. We were able to drive my mom to the stairs so she could have an easier time getting there. The two blocks walking to the stair access was a little workout since it was hilly.

Beautiful Stay!

This was our second year in a row staying at this house. The house is great for us (three families…lots of teenagers!) Everyone had enough space and enjoyed all the amenities of the house, hot tub, ping-pong, video games and the fire pit. Views to Lake Michigan are stunning. The access to the beach is down the road over a hill but definitely worth the walk. It’s one of our favorite in Michigan! I would definitely stay again!

Vacation time

The house was very nice. We really enjoyed the patio area with the firepit, hot tub, swing and seating. Plenty of pots and pans, dishes and glass wear available. Nice views of the lake and we appreciated the honesty of not having access to the beach across the street.

Great Place To Stay!

Our family really enjoyed staying in the house for the weekend as we enjoyed the lake and the neighborhood! Plenty of sleeping arrangements and a large kitchen to cook meals in was amazing. And the view of the lake from the large living room windows was fantastic as well! The host was very nice and helped provide some recommendations for spots to check out around town. Definitely recommend.

Perfect spot for a friend get-together!

We had an absolutely fantastic visit! The house was lovely and huge -- the perfect spot to meet up with a bunch of old friends. We enjoyed the views, the fire pit, the hot tub, and the proximity to the beach. What was especially nice was how well-stocked the property was and ready for us -- everything from firewood to cookware to towels was available, which made things so much easier. Communication from the host was very clear and timely. Truly, this was one of the best VRBO stays I've ever experienced and it made for a great experience.

Great stay!

House was exactly as pictured and wonderful for our big group. Lots of beds and everything was clean and well stocked. Would recommend to anyone! It was a bummer that the beach entrance two blocks from the house was closed up for us in late April, but certainly not an issue with the property itself.

Wonderful Home

I don't think I've ever stayed at a cleaner rental property. It's a great house to have separate sleeping areas away from the gathering areas. Everything you need is included, the house is well stocked and feels like a home. Amazing view of Lake Michigan to wake up to and just steps from the beach. We would recommend this property to anyone staying in the New Buffalo area.

We love sharing this home with extended family & friends as well as our many happy renters who create their own friend & family memories.

Why they chose this property

We built this new home after owning property in the area for several years. We love the location - directly facing the lake and a short walk to the beach. The property was designed specifically for large groups to get together and create memories. Large common areas, multiple seating areas and fun outdoor spaces.

The Village of Michiana is a beautiful lake front community with sandy beaches, a picturesque creek, beautiful streets for long walks and a fully equipped kids playground. We love the Harbor Country area with it's many dining options, wineries, breweries and shopping.
