House was great for our group. It is a stately older home with lots of character. Plenty of parking. Owner was very responsive. We would stay here again if we were ever in the area.
The house is no where near he stadium, so it was falsely advertised as "within walking distance". Communication was poor and multiple emails had to be sent before a reply was given up to weeks later. The house itself was big, but outdated and in need of internal work. The floors had holes in them and mildew was present in the showers. For the amount of money spent, it was very underwhelming and disappointing. My wife had to undergo an unexpected surgery and no consideration was given to reschedule or make any effort to find another renter well in advance of the reservation. Beware, there are better and more responsive properties available.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Gator Manor. It was a beautiful property, with all of the bedrooms and gathering areas we were looking for. Nicholas was even willing to accommodate us having a small house party for my friend's graduation.
The only reason i took off a star is because of how dirty the floors were. I tend to walk around barefoot in the house, and i had to wash my feet every night before bed because they were black. Maybe that doesnt bother some people, but it bothered me enough to come post about it.
We rented out this property during our youngest son's college send off at University of Florida. And the first thing my family said when they walked in was: "Whoa!"
We have five adult kids (plus my daughter's husband) for a total of eight adults. There were a total of six rooms (five of which have king beds). Everyone was more than comfortable in their beds. The master bedroom was ridiculously huge and the walk in shower could have fit my entire family (not kidding!). The property was gorgeous and conveniently located about 1.5 miles away from UF. We absolutely love love love this property and hope to rent it again during the next four years. It is absolutely perfect for my large family (and then some). Communication with Nicholas was fantastic. He responds immediately to all of my texts. Five plus stars for this property!
The house is beautiful but not well maintained the furniture looked so dirty i didn't want to sit on it. I woke up to big hole in my protein bag that RATS ate ,agent came out to clean. Next day a COCKROACH was on the kitchen counter which i burned him in the gas stove . Agent was called ,cleaning company came out to clean. Next day upholstery came out to clean furniture which took 2 days to dry so we couldn't sit on chairs until it dried which we were using towels to sit on anyways. Next day found a lot of RAT POOP everywhere called agent they sent rat people out to set traps. I had ordered Hellofresh delivered before i knew it was like this we did not cook knowing it was like this. Light bulbs were out i had to ask for cleaning products which agent did everything i asked for she was really nice but we checked out early could not take it anymore also the Floors were not moped in downstairs bathroom had barefoot prints i do have pictures of everything i described they gave us back our cleaning fee which was never enough because of what we went through
Great location, polite host, but, ongoing thermostat issues with the a/c system were frustrating. The property is beautiful but very difficult to navigate for guests with limited mobility. Also, my wife and son both said they saw rats in the kitchen cabinet area.
Even so, we liked the place and we are grateful for the opportunity to stay there.
