We had a truly amazing time at the property. We received very helpful and accurate information regarding the home, what was provided, and parking prior to arrival. It was extremely helpful with the winter weather that came while we were there. We’d love to stay again during the summer months to appreciate the lake. It was one of the best places our family has stayed at!
Exceptional in every way! The cabin was amazing! Clean, bright, easy to get to, The View! The welcome gift was wonderful! Thank you for all the small touches that make a traverler feel welcome!
We stayed here for a Vermont family trip in the Fall to enjoy the foliage and the house couldn’t have been any more perfect. The fire pit and hot tub in the backyard overlooking the lake is absolute perfection. We also really enjoyed canoe rides in the lake. A lot of our trip was spent going to the Stowe area and this was a great location for it. I can’t imagine a more perfect rental house if you’re looking for a cozy Vermont getaway!
This was the most beautiful get away for us this winter. The pictures do not do the place justice! It is sooooo beautiful and the communication was amazing. The place was very clean and all appliances worked. It really felt like a luxurious home away from home!
My husband and I had an amazing time at Karsten’s cabin. A wonderful week at the beginning of September - stand up paddling on the lake, s’mores at the bond fire or just reading on the terrace. Andrea and her family have created a beautiful place to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquility of Vermont.
The place is even better than the listing as the pictures can’t capture the phenomenal views from the terrace over the lake and mountains especially at sunrise. We can wholly recommend this place!
Cozy and Comfortable for both warm and cold weather!
We celebrated my 30th birthday with some friends at Karsten’s cabin and it was perfect for our group! It had a little something for everyone, both outdoor and indoor enthusiasts alike. We loved the hot tub on the cooler nights, especially since it was close enough to the fire to enjoy both at the same time. The views from the dock were lovely, and the lake was quiet enough to make it feel even more private. We also loved the fully stocked kitchen, since we were able to cook some delicious meals for everyone. We had a great time, and would book again!
This house was great! Location, house itself, communication with owner, all was great. My husband, kids, parents and siblings had a great time together doing the many activities such as: canoeing, using the hot tub, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, fishing on the dock and out in the lake in the canoe, playing Pac-Man and air hockey, and just enjoying the lake view by the deck and each others company. I definitely recommend this house for a long weekend or week to unwind and relax. Looking forward to booking again in the future! Thank you, Andrea for your hospitality!
We changed our spring break plans very last minute and needed a place to stay. This listing popped up just days before we needed it and it was perfect. The house was spacious and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 teen-ish kids. We cooked fun meals, watched moves, played games and sat in the hot tub while watching a beautiful fire. I can't think of one thing that we were missing. We left feeling rested and restored.
Carefully curated home for your comfort and enjoyment
This a beautiful new home on Lake Eden. It's at the quiet end of the lake near the boy scout camp. We stayed as a group of two families, 7 people total, and we had more than enough room for everyone to spread out. The host was extremely responsive to questions we had during our stay, and her attention to detail really shows throughout the house. We enjoyed Lake Eden, but also hiking parts of the Long trail in the area, Rittenbush pond, Babcock preserve, trips to Morrisville, Stowe (Alchemist brewing) , and Waterbury for Ben and Jerry's. Definitely 5 stars.
My wife and I spent a wonderful 4 days at the cabin in early December. We were fortunate enough to have had 6+ inches of snow before we came so the property was covered in a blanket of pure white snow. Everything was as advertised and the property is a little gem. We spent our days visiting Stowe, hiking some easy snow-friendly trails, hanging out in the cabin, and because we love to cook making some Vermont friendly comfort food. Being outdoorsy we built some fireplaces in the fire pit where we enjoyed some hot chocolate and warmed our bodies after time in the hot tub. We also took a day trip to Montreal to enjoy some time in old town. Overall it was a perfect 4 days in the woods.
We highly recommend the cabin and Andrea was fantastic to deal with throughout the entire process.
7 friends had a fabulous stay. So much to do between games in the house, lake, fire pit, hot tub. We were even able to have groceries delivered with Instacart. Beds are comfy and decor is fabulous.
We stayed in June and could not have been more impressed. The moment you walk through the front door you are greeted by unparalleled views of Lake Eden. Inside you will find upscale finishes, an impressive welcome basket and so much opportunity for families to reconnect. We are grateful for our time and gracious hosts.
My wife and I, along with our 3 children (14, 12 and 9) greatly enjoyed the week away at the lake. The house and amenities were perfect for us. We took day trips to Smugglers to do the treetop ropes courses, spend one overcast/rainy day at Jay Peak at the indoor water park, and a spent some evenings at Stowe and Burlington. The rest of the time was enjoying all the lake had to offer - paddle boarding, fishing, swimming, floating, hot tubbing, playing games and lounging in the sun. Was just the getaway we were looking for.
Exemplary rental experience. BOOKING: Listing perfectly described the house and lot. Communication was quick & easy. House was in the last stages of completion when I was considering it, Andrea quickly answered my questions & concerns. ARRIVAL: Code to door & further details sent 2 days prior to arrival. Driveway was easy to navigate and there was plenty of parking for 3 families to arrive separately. PROPERTY: !GORGEOUS! We stayed mid-June & the lake/mountain views are beyond words! Very private & lush. Decor is modern/elegant. 8 adults (18-69) & 2 kids (4&6) - fit comfortably. The top floor bdrms are a little bigger than pictured. There are little nooks not shown that can serve as places to put suitcases. Kids slept in the twins & their mom/dad comfortably slept in the queen. Grandparents had the main floor bdrm so they didn’t have to contend with stairs. My husband & I took the bottom floor bdrm & our 21/18 sons took the pull out couch. They said it was very comfortable. There is plenty of dining/lounging seating on the main floor & out on the deck. The grill is plumbed into the house gas line, no need to worry about gas! We greatly enjoyed the amenities Andrea provides at the house. The complimentary beer/maple syrup/coffee are so welcoming! We needed some extra linens so I messaged Andrea upon our arrival and the housekeeper was there within 20 min to pull out extras from the locked storage closet. That was amazing & much appreciated. THINGS TO DO: we had 4 full days… paddle boarded & canoed around lake, fished, swam across the lake, enjoyed the hot tub, fire & s’mores night, loon sightings, had fun looking for crawfish along the shore & saw a tiny baby snapping turtle, visited Stowe & ate at The Bench which was recommended on the cabin’s Insta, drove 30 min to Smuggler’s Notch to hike and climb on the boulders (so much fun!), drove 1 hr to Grand Isle and rented a boat at Apple Island Marina (nicest gentlemen EVER!), swam in Lake Champlain (hung out with Champ lol) then headed to Burlington for dinner at Splash! on the lake (view of Adirondacks breathtaking!!!), walked around Burlington, got a creamee at Burlington Bay. General Store in Eden has everything you need including a great menu of fresh prepared items. On the way back to FL we stopped at Bragg Farm about 1hr from cabin. If you’re looking for a fantastic sugarhouse, this is the place. Plus all the VT souvenirs you could ever want! Just boook it, you’ll love it!
We loved our stay in this very new cabin. So much to do on the property, we didn’t want to leave - hot tub, game room, campfire, cozy fireplace. You can’t beat the views of the lake and wooded mountains. Many evenings spent on the platform at the waters edge sipping wine. Would definitely return.
This lakeside cabin was more beautiful than the pictures. It’s surrounded by woods, and the view is amazing! Inside design and furnishings are beyond what we expected. Lots of Vermont themed art and Andrea even left us local maple syrup, coffee and beer to take home. My friends and I especially loved the hot tub overlooking the lake, the air hockey table and the location of this cabin. We went on a few day trips to Stowe and Jay Peak. Would definitely return with family and friends!
