Great home away from home

We recently stayed at Dena's home during a weekend trip to the Olympic Peninsula. The house was very cozy, with great indoor and outdoor lounging spots. The kitchen was perfect for cooking, the heated floors in the master bath were a nice way to wake up, and the creek sounds were a wonderful soundtrack for our relaxing weekend.

Wonderful vacation at Indian Valley Retreat

For our group of six, the Retreat was a perfect base to explore Olympic National Park (including its beaches), Port Angeles and Victoria. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and appliances, equipment, etc. of high quality and labeled so as to make their use easy. Great kitchen, huge balcony overlooking a flowing creek with a Weber grill and a very pleasant firepit. We had a fantastic time, can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this property.

Great place and close to ONP

We had a great stay here. The house is very cozy feeling and clean. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking after a long day of hiking. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. There is a nice private outdoor space on the back deck for relaxing while listening to the flowing water of the creek in the backyard. My youngest loved the play set in the yard. We loved the close proximity to Lake Crescent and the Port Angeles area.I would stay here again!

Fantastic family base for Olympic Peninsula

Dena's place was a perfect base for our group to explore various locations on the Olympic Peninsula. Communication with Dena was prompt and flawless. We appreciated her flexibility and attentiveness. The home was very clean, modern, comfortable, and faithful to the pictures. Lovely sounds of the creek just in the back yard. Highly recommend.

Great getaway near ONP

My husband, 3 elementary school aged kids, and i had a wonderful stay at this house near Olympic National Park. The location was close enough to Port Angeles to enjoy shopping and restaurants but fast enough out that it felt private and quiet (and a stream on property). Similarly, the location was amazing to enjoy Crescent Lake and many amazing hikes in the park. Dena was really helpful in suggesting jokes and activities that would be fun and age appropriate for our kids. The house itself was beautifully updated and very comfortable for our family of 5. Loved the kitchen, the back deck, the heated floors in the bathroom, and the fireplace!

We are local business owners who have lived in the area since 1986. We enjoy sharing our homes and our love for the Pacific Northwest with our guests.

Why they chose this property

This listing is for the main house and this is our primary residence during the winter and spring months. We have been remodeling over the last few years updating different areas of the home. Last year we created the Master suite with the bath of our dreams. We love the heated floors, luxurious soaks in the tub, heated and LED lit vanity mirrors and of course being able to play music via the Blu-tooth speakers in the vanity mirrors! This spring we have been installing an all new deck that expands the back of the home and will be a wonderful outdoor space with the sounds of the creek below.

What makes this property unique

The home is uniquely located just off of Hwy 101 and allows for day trips throughout Olympic National Park as well as a quick 12 minute drive into downtown Port Angeles for basic necessities, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping.
