Our stay was wonderful! The property owners were very friendly and helpful. They were quick to respond if we had any questions. It was great having a dock on the canal, it made fishing and boating easy and enjoyable! Beds were quite comfortable and there were plenty of linens!
Perfect place for relaxing and fishing! It was so peaceful there, and we enjoyed the view sitting out on the top deck right off the main bedroom. The main lower deck was awesome! It was such a big area that had two picnic tables, chairs, grill, table, shower, cleaning station w/sink and a dock for fishing. We had such a good time!
Great location. Nicely remodeled older home. Love the decks and docks. Only complaint is AC upstairs not being allowed to be set below 70* at night while sleeping.
We had such a good time scalloping and staying at this property. Check in was easy. Location was great for us, close by to everything we need. Very clean and nice and cold. We mostly stayed outside.
Will be staying here again.
Stayed at the Red Sink for the 4th of July holiday to do some scalloping. Friends rented the house across the street so we had unfettered access to the water and all the scallops we could find. The house was set up perfectly for both families, with my kids in room 2, my wife and I upstairs, and my brother and his family in room 1. The house was clean and free of any strange smells or funkiness. The beds were comfortable and the AC was lovely. The downstairs rooms were very cabin like, with a hint of ceder. The middle space downstairs was nice, with a washer and dryer for all the wet bathing suits and towels. There were tv's in all the rooms, besides the upstairs bedroom, which didn't need one as the tv in the living room was more than sufficient. The kitchen was well appointed with all the pots, pans, and dishes one could need for their stay. There is no oven, but the toaster oven was more than adequate for our bagel needs. The decks were nice to relax on and the kids even caught some fish from the back dock. The views over the water were amazing and I would encourage everyone who stays here to watch the sun come up and go down over the amazing wetlands. I am no photographer, but even I was able to take some amazing pictures from the back deck. After our trip was over, my nephew managed to lose his favorite stuffed toy and the house cleaner contacted me immediately to get an address to send it back to him. Overall, I wish I could give this place 10 stars, but 5 is all I get.
The guest rooms had a really dingy smell and we woke up with the worst allergies, but the main house was great. We had asked about getting to the house on low tide by boat and never got a response. It would have been almost impossible to get to the dock on low tide.
Boaters: This property is on the back (east) canal of keaton beach and is a lot easier to get to than the main canal. I have a 20' bay boat and got in and out of the canal around low tide with little problem. Coming in and out on a low can be tricky but as long as you stay to the left of the Idle speed marker you are ok going out, vice versa coming in. I had a negative low tide one night and it was a little tricky but we got in. The house has a hose long enough for boat washdown and a very nice cleaning station. Very clean place, everything you need. It slept 9 of us comfortably; 4 adults, 5 kids.
This property was perfect for our needs. The main living area was upstairs (living, kitchen, master suite) with two private bedrooms downstairs with a shared bathroom. The property was well maintained and very clean. We had a great experience!
My family and I stay here during scalloping season every year and we just love it! Mr. Greg is wonderful at any and everything you may need. The house is perfect for my family of 9. The kitchen is a bit small with no oven, but this doesn’t bother us. It does have a toaster oven, stove, and a convection/microwave. We tend to bring our food in for the week bc there’s not any restaurants in Keaton although we like it that way. There are restaurants in nearby Steinhatchee or Perry. We do a lot of grilling on our week stay, and the roomy back deck has plenty of space for us to spread out and eat. The house is well equipped with pots and pans along with most utensils you may need. The beds sleep pretty good and the bedrooms on the bottom floor have great air conditioning. The room upstairs stays pretty cool, but I tend to be hot natured and sometimes need it cooler. The porches and the back deck are our favorite, where we tend to spend much of our time cleaning scallops, eating or being in hammocks sleeping😂. Plenty of dock space for our 25ft bay boat. You are on the back canal, so coming in and out can be tricky if you don’t know the area. The only thing I can really think of that would make this place even better would be an ice machine, although that’s not a deal breaker for us. I could keep going on and on of how much I love this place, but I want to be a bit selfish as to keep our little hidden gem a secret!
So nice and comfortable. Very clean. Felt like a luxurious hotel. Loved the decks and being on the water. So much easier to go out where the scallops were. Quiet and relaxing. This will be our first choice from now on.
The property was well stocked, very clean and plenty of space. I would definitely book this house again. It is well maintained and extremely clean.it has a very nice dock in great condition. If you want a place to go fishing or scalloping I recommend this house. It also has a large deck with plenty of seating.
