Go Coastal: Rest, relax and reset.



9th Street West Retreat is one unit of a newly remodeled duplex, that is inviting you to come enjoy the slower paced life in Port Orford. Spend your days inside relaxing, or adventure outside to the nearby rivers, beaches and lake.

Enjoy our fully stocked kitchen. Spanning granite counter tops, farmhouse sink, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and a glass top cook stove. You only need to bring your groceries!

Electric kettle, stove top kettle, electric coffee pot and pour over coffee maker are all provided.

Rest and relax in the cozy living room that offers a large mounted flat screen TV and electric fireplace.

Enjoy hot showers in our full size shower/ bathtub combo. And fall asleep in the spacious bedroom on a new king mattress, with all new linens.

Also offered is a small laundry room with stackable washer and dryer for your use.


LOCATION:
Located within walking distance to Garrison Lake and some our favorite beaches: Battle Rock State Park, Tseriadun State Park, and the Port of Port Orford. Enjoy hours of beachcombing, boating, fishing, whale watching or bird watching.

Around the corner, in every direction, are popular local food establishments: Crazy Norwegians, Tasty Kates, Redfish, The Dive, Golden Harvest and Portside Cafe; just to name a few.

Venture North and you can tour the Cape Blanco Light House or the Historical Hughes House. If adventure if what you seek, enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Elk or Sixes Rivers either swimming or fishing....depending on the season.

Great place to stay in Port Orford

It's the little things

We enjoyed our stay here. The host put a thought into this rental. Real toilet paper, good linens and towels. Nice bedding, hot water, and a night light for the bathroom. Wine and snacks waiting for us. Good TV options, great location and nicely decorated. We appreciated the washer and dryer after a week of traveling. The unit was clean and fresh flowers were we placed in several locations, which was lovely. Sometimes it's the little things that make a BIG difference. Thank you for caring and sharing your home.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, snacks - and that was all on top of a cut place which is furnished well, with a comfortable bed and simple check-in and check-out processes. And Port Orford is a great little community with good beaches, outdoor opportunities and restuarants!

Wonderful Rental

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Port Orford. This is the nicest rental we stayed in for our entire trip! It’s beautifully decorated, very clean, and conveniently located. The owner had everything to make our stay comfortable - lots of space, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, even left us goodies and fresh flowers. Communication was great - always answered our texts within minutes. Nice bathroom with shower/bath. Very comfortable king size bed. We couldn’t have asked for more. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect

We had 2 nights in this pretty house. There wasn't a thing lacking in this place but best of all it had the most comfortable bed I've slept in beside mine at home. We didn't cook anything but the kitchen looked fully stocked. There was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses waiting for us when we arrived and non-parishable snacks. There had been a water main break in Port Orford before we arrived. The owner called and told us about it and that she would provide plenty of bottled water for us. There were 4 gallons plus a case of bottled water in the refrigerator. When we visit Port Orford again we will definitely stay there.

Port Orford Sure Thing

Clean, bright and relaxing are the best adjectives for this Port Orford duplex. If you're looking for a very quiet, small town feel with access to many beaches, then this is property for you. It comes without a lot of tourists or the trappings of a tourist town so it's easy to feel right at home. The kitchen is well stocked if you prefer your own cooking with a grocery store near by. The bed was huge and comfy and the quiet neighborhood (really the whole town) made for a peaceful night's sleep. This is a fabulous choice for a low key vacation.

Outstanding!

What a joy it was for my wife and I to stay at this site. Everything was just top-notch. Christy was a wonderful host. There was a plumbing problem our second day, but she was right on it and had it taken care of. It was just such a joy for us to stay there. And Port Orford, itself, was ideal for us. Non-touristy, quiet, but with plenty of things for us to do. We couldn't have asked for more!

Great Stay

The place was really clean and the furniture super comfortable. The host was kind and friendly when we chatted with her and she left some special things for my bday which was so sweet. Love little Port Orford. Love this rental.

Perfect for a winter beachcombing trip!

This home was a great home base for my South Coast beach adventures. Modern, clean, and well-outfitted with all the necessities and comforts you need. Comfortable bed, nice lounging couch, big TV, nice kitchen, and covered entryway for all your gear. I hope to come back next year!

A GEM!

I travel a bunch and always use VRBO so I have had all kinds of places to stay. This was one of my favorites. The check in process was EASY! The place is not missing anything. Full kitchen was great as I used it to cook my meals. The touches from the owner are perfect-- fuzzy blankets, a warm fireplace and snacks. The fireplace was on and warm when I walked in and a great bottle of wine awaited me. Couldn't get any better! I was working at the Port down the street, so I could have even walked there. Washer and dryer was a great feature, even had soap to use. Bed was comfy and shower was great. Not a bad thing to say. The icing on the cake is that it is not a VACASA home so the experience couldn't be better.
