This large, comfortable home was perfect for our purpose of relaxing and spending quality family time renewing those close ties we shared when we were girls. Country setting at its finest. Our host provided snacks and breakfast for our entire party, including hand delivering warm banana nut and persimmon bread the afternoon we arrived. Perfect hostess.
This is a very relaxing, fun ,quiet get away with great owners. They go out of there way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The place was provided with more than expected in a vrbo. We will definitely be back. The kids and us had a blast fishing. And a bonus is the grocery store is only about 10 min up the road.No need to stress breakfast cause they are sweet enough to provide a variety of breakfast items and of course COFFEE..
Beautiful setting, cotton field on one side of the house and a large pond with gazebo on the other. Host (Chris) and Hostess (Debbie) are great people and so accommodating. The home was clean and spacious. Debbie brought breakfast items and recommended places to eat in town. We highly recommend this home and we will definitely be going back.
We had 5 adults and there was planty of room for us all. Kitchen is well stocked and the "continitel breakfast" was a nice touch, one I've never had with a VRBO. All and all we recommend this property and plan on returning soon.
We meet friends from Florida enquiry year half way and this year we picked The Cypress House. We were not disappointed. Absolutely beautiful property and incredible house! More room than we knew what to do with. All the rooms were spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen and living area. We enjoyed fishing, a campfire and just relaxing. There were multiple things to do in the nearby towns of Ashburn and Cordele and we decided to take a trip up to Plains to visit Jimmy Carter's boyhood home. Our hosts were so accomodating and we felt totally recharged by the time our trip was over. This would be a great place to meet for a family reunion or just to relax by yourself. We look forward to returning next year.
We were in town for a race weekend at Cordele and we were happy to of found this place to have the whole family under one roof. Was perfect for all ages. Relaxing morning and evenings on the porch were excellent. Kids even enjoys some catch and release fishing. Certainly will stay again if we have another big race weekend up there.

Unhappy renter
The house is clean is the only good thing. My group drove 2 and a half hours to go fishing to arrive and read a sign that says CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY !! I spent 563.00 to play spades. It was false advertising ! I also have never had so many rules either, no eating except kitchen ,don't open closed bedroom doors, can't use washer and dryer without permission, don't move furniture. Worst rental ever !!!!
This is a fantastic rental. One bedroom and two baths on one side and four bedrooms and two baths on the other side of the kitchen/living area. There are two separate air conditioning units for each side of the house. The kitchen has everything you could ever desire for fixing a gourmet meal. Outside land is flat and well kept. There is an extra refrigerator in the double carport area. The hosts go way above and beyond to make absolutely sure your stay is as good as possible. The only thing you need to bring for your stay is yourself and what you want to eat. Everything else is provided.
This rental was perfect. It was easy to find, very clean and organized, and had so many fun things to do. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a rental in South Georgia.
Fantastic large house. The house was well stocked and BIG. Lots of space for large groups with a wonderful sitting area for watching TV, talking, or relaxing. Great attention to detail by the owners on the breakfast items, snacks, and other amenities. Highly recommend this property!
The Cypress House was exactly like the pictures, no, more beautiful. Very nice and quiet. We stayed for the weekend and we all had a blast. Enough space for everyone. All the needed amenities and more. If you want a large space for family that is quiet and serene, this is the place. We were greeted by the hosts, who made us feel welcomed and at home. Ten thousand stars. Will definitely try to come back soon.

Why they chose this property
Our Father built this house and it was passed down to the next generation. This Community is registered as "Brownsville" because our Great-Grandfather moved here when it was only land and trees, and built the original "Big House" on the hill above, and this Community.
What makes this property unique
Lots of relaxing features - ponds and wildlife, 10 acres to stretch your legs and explore, rocking-chair porches to sip your favorite beverage on, firepit and fireplace to enjoy as well as grills and supplies - everything provided.
