Beautiful old Victorian! Great, safe location, walkable to some local spots. Plenty of street parking. Unusual and quirky set up, but very spacious for 2 people. Had a couple of small inconveniences, but the owner was super responsive and took care of everything. Would recommend and would stay again.
Beautiful antique wood floors and cut glass windows compliment a well-appointed apartment. Host was in touch to ask if our stay was going well. Bathroom fixtures brand new. Mattress extremely comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Always found parking right in front of house. No carpets and spare decorations all very clean so good for anyone with allergies or germ concerns. Highly recommend.
So many good things about this apartment: nice neighborhood, easy parking, an elegant home with lots of interesting architectural features, large and well-stocked kitchen, very comfy king size bed, beautiful hard wood floors throughout and a very responsive owner when we called.
Only disappointment was that the back porch
(which we had looked forward to enjoying late afternoon / evenings) was full of what appeared to be various items set up to repair, and no chairs to sit on, and the back yard had some extraneous stuff left from winter (ladder, etc). That said, the weather turned cold the day after we arrived, so we probably wouldn’t have sat outside very long anyway.
Also, the directions for using the keys to get in were hard to follow since the identifying colored plastic markers on each had fallen off. Only reason this bothered us was that we arrived late evening from a very long drive and we’re tired. However, a call to owner cleared things up quickly.
We would definitely stay here again on future trips to Pittsburgh!!
