Beach house directly by the sea in Le Racou / Argeles-Plage / Le Racou

The small house is located directly on the sandy beach in the third row, directly on the sea. The large sandy beach is guarded in the summer by lifeguards and borders directly on the first rocks of the cliffs of the Pyrenees.

In the village there is a small general store 50 meters away, bakery, newspapers and some small restaurants.

The Mediterranean area in the southernmost part of France right on the border with Spain, with its sandy beaches and rocky coast, with the Pyrenees in the background and a diverse cultural offer.

At this southern end of the 200 kilometer long sandy beach, which starts in the Camargue and ends in Le Racou, you will find the peace to relax or go on excursions, depending on your taste. Le Racou is located on the seafront in a dead end, in which no large streams of tourists pour.

très agréable
Petit séjour très agréable pour les fêtes de fin d'année. La plage est juste là, le soleil était présent, petites balades, petite baignade fraîche mais délicieuse.

Authentisches Strandhaus in genialer Lage
Es handelt sich um ein ganz außergewöhnliches Häuschen direkt am Strand. Original französisches Flair vergangener Tage, eine wunderschöne Terrasse unter Weinblätterdach...was will man mehr? Perfekt!

Cette location est idéalement située, à quelques mètres de la plage (3ème rangée de maison depuis la mer), pas loin du chemin pédestre qui longe la mer et des petits commerces du Racou. on se sent immédiatement dépaysé par ce petit village au bord de la plage c'est vraiment magnifique. L'intérieur est également très mignon et parfaitement équipé, il y a également une petite terrasse avec une petite vue sur la mer. Attention pour les enfants en dessous de 3/4 ans, il y a un escalier assez raide (mais avec une rembarde) pour accéder à l'étage. Marc est au top que ce soit pour l'accueil et la disponibilité, et Marcus est au petits soins pour le suivi, merci pour ce séjour, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Un pequeño paraíso
Marc, el gerente de la casa, fue muy amable y reactivo para organizar nuestra llegada. La casita es muy confortable, varios espacios independientes y dos lindas terrazas, la del jardín es perfecta para los asados y la del tejado para el café en la mañana. Además, Marcus el proprietario deja bicicletas y tablas de surf a disposición. El Racou es un sitio génial para venir en familia. Volveremos sin duda el próximo año ! Simple accommodation in a beautiful location
The cottage is as described right between the beach and shops/cafes in Racou Plage, one of our favourite places on this stretch of coast. The check in was easy, we collected keys from the caretaker in one of the apartment blocks over the road and communication with the host was swift and responsive although we didn’t actually meet him. The accommodation was clean but basic and could sleep six if you used the sofa bed downstairs. However, it’s worth noting the lack of privacy as you need to go through one upstairs bedroom to get to the other which was outside off the roof terrace and quite small. Also, there was no door to screen the upstairs bedroom from anyone sleeping downstairs on the sofa bed. That didn’t bother us but might be an issue for some as might the accessibility; steep stairs and an awkward threshold to step over to get to the roof terrace and second bedroom. Having said that, the cottage is in an enviable position and we enjoyed our stay. There are plenty of options for eating out and the coastal path to Collioure right on your doorstep. It was lovely to sit outside and eat on the front terrace but if the weather is bad be aware that there is no dining table inside. The downstairs bathroom was nice with plentiful hot water in the walk in shower. Visitors need to bring their own bedding which caused us a last minute panic as it was not mentioned in the listing but Marcus was very helpful in sorting this out. Overall we loved our stay

La location correspondait à notre recherche. L'endroit est très typique et idéal avec des enfants. Pas de voiture et la plage à deux pas. C'est paisible et les autochtones très aimables.

La localisation est formidable : un petit coin de bout du monde près de tout. Très calme, ambiance familiale, accès direct à la plage. L'appartement est très confortable et bien équipé et Marcus a été très disponible. A recommander !

Traumhafter Urlaub in einer wunderschönen Gegend
Wir waren das erste Mal in Racou. Racou hat eineigense Flair. Morgens vor dem Frühstück aus dem Haus zu gehen, eine Runde schwimmen, danach Croissant von der Episserie holen und das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse genießen. Viel mehr braucht es nicht, um glücklich zu sein. Das Haus ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, und hat alles was man braucht. Falls Fragen sind, kann man jederzeit an Markus schreiben, und bekommt sofort eine Antwort. Der einzig kleine Schwachpunkt ist die Übergabe vom Hausverwalter bei der Ankunft. Die dauerte 5 Minuten, und als Fremde hätten wir auf etwas mehr Informationen gehofft. Aber das war nach einer Nacht nicht mehr wichtig. Nur zu empfehlen.

Super, je recommande !
Nous avons passé une superbe semaine au Racou, lieu que je connais depuis mon enfance. La maison est idéalement placée, a 20 secondes de la plage, aucune mauvaise surprise, tout équipée et très propre. Le gardien est adorable. Juste un petit bémol pour se garer, obligé de payer le parking tous les jours (6 euros) mais nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Très bon séjour dans cette maison à proximité de la plage, avec des enfants c'est super. dommage que les toilettes soient situées ar Rez de chaussée, car l'escalier pour les chambres à l'étage est très raide, la nuit, pour les " petits besoins".... sinon, à recommander

Ein kleines Paradies
Haben 2 Wochen bei strahlendem Sonnenschein in Le Racou verbracht. Die direkte Lage zum Strand ist traumhaft, das Meer einmalig. Wir konnten alle Mahlzeiten auf der Terrasse einnehmen. Das Haus ist einfach, aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet und wir fanden es total schnuckelig. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war tadellos. Wir haben viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung ( Carcasonne, Perpignan, die Pyrenäen, die Küstenorte) unternommen. Hatten direkt Kontakt zu den unmittelbaren Nachbarn. Im Gegensatz zu sehr touristischen Argeles-Plage ist Le Racou eine kleine Idylle. Kommen gerne wieder!

Un petit coin idéal pour une semaine idéale
Petite maison charmante pour 5 à 6 personnes. Tout le nécessaire s'y trouve, voire plus. Idéalment placée les pieds quasi dans l'eau, dans le coin le plus calme et typique d'Argeles à 20 minutes à pied du coin plus touristique de port Argeles et à 3,5 km de Collioures par le sentier côtier. Marcus, bien que non présent sur place a été d'une très grande disponibilité par SM .

We had a good time here.
The house is lovely. Perfect combination of simplicity and comfort. The area has everything (beach, shop, bars, etc). Marcus is a nice host who is easy to get in contact with.

Sehr schönes Strandhaus
Das Haus haben wir wie beschrieben vorgefunden. Im Vergleich zu anderen Häuser in der Umgebung ist es sehr gut ausgestattet mit neuem Bad und einer neuen Wohnküche. Das Haus fällt durch seine blauen Fensterläden und den Blumen sofort positiv auf. Der Strand ist sehr nah, toll ist der kleine Balkon mit einer sehr schönen Sicht. Wir waren froh, dass das Haus in der dritten Reihe war, denn so waren wir windgeschützt und konnten uns dem Trubel am Strand auch gut entziehen, wenn wir wollten. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genießen können.

Villa on 2 Floors with terrace and balcony on the beach of Le Racou. Completely renovated in 2017, direct access to the sea with patrolled beach in summertime. Lots of small authentic restaurants and bars around. Racou is a small village at the dead end of the beach road aside from the inrush of tourists.
