About this property

Connie's Little House

Connie's, cozy, little log cabin is surrounded amongst 10 secluded acres of hard woods and pines. The property is shared with two neighboring cabins and provides you your own upnorth experience and privacy. Doggies welcomed for an additional cost.

At Connie’s, you'll want to wake up early and sit on the patio with a cup of coffee enjoying the morning sunrise. Take a stroll down the hand made trails system by walking, snowshoeing or even cross country skiing on them too. With plenty of space, bring up your toys and go on nearby snowmobile trails in the winter time or side x side in the off seasons!

Connie's Little House can accommodate up to 6 people with a Queen size bed in the single bedroom and a twin bed and twin over full bunk bed in the secondary bedroom. We Roku smart TV and Starlink high speed internet and Wi-Fi.

Connie's provides you with a full bathroom consisting of shower and tub combo and washer and dryer. It also gives you a fully stocked Kitchen with silverware, plates to serve 8 people, glasses, coffee maker, pots and pans along with a few pantry staples.

So, gather your loved ones around the yard to enjoy a summertime grill out. Let the kids run off some energy. Then as the evening starts, light the bonfire up to toast marshmallows amongst the stars. Be with family and friends again. Take a break and enjoy your retreat. (recommend bringing picnic/disposable plates, cups, silverware if eating outside)

Before you leave, sink into the hot tub, relax and rejoice on your days of adventures with family and friends. Read a good book sitting on the patio furniture. Or listen to nature. Welcome to Connie's Little House where it may be little, but its full of memories.

Wonderful little cabin

We have stayed in this cabin a couple of times now, the hosts and the property are amazing! Hummingbirds and fresh strawberries on the property in the summer and a cozy hot tub and wood stove to stay snug in the winter! Perfect place to relax and get away! The hosts are extremely nice and communicate well for any questions or needs you may have during your stay. Will definitely be back again!

Good but not great.

Owner is very responsive, place is clean, kitchen well stocked. Beautiful area with great snowmobile trails but unfortunately for us, not great to cross country ski over them. Street light kept us awake all night because it shines right at the bedroom and there are no room darkening blinds or drapes. Wanted to use the fireplace stove the first night but couldn’t. Once we paid for several bundles of wood, we found out we needed to transport the wood ourselves from a garage, through the snow, so we didn’t use 1/8 of what we bought, and the wood was wet, so we needed to go purchase from the store our own kindling and fire starting supplies even though my spouse is an Eagle Scout. Could have been great but if we had been there more than two nights, we would have checked ourselves into a hotel. No one wants to have sleepless nights on vacation. If you plan to snowmobile and drink heavily to sleep then it is great. If you don’t drink and cross country ski then go elsewhere.

Winter Wonderland Retreat- Cabin fever never felt so good!

If you're looking for a family getaway that feels like stepping into your own personal snowglobe, then look no further than this gem nestled in snowy Michigan! Our wintercation at this cabin was nothing short of magical- think cozy vibes mixed with a quirky charm. The picturesque landscape looked like it was plucked straight from a holiday postcard! The cabin itself was a delightful blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. We had 4 children with us ranging from 1 to 16 and when I tell you everyone had a blast, I mean everyone! We spent the days having snowball fights and building "snow caves" and "mountains". We spent the evenings in enjoying family movie night and a family game night! If you're looking for the perfect snowy family getaway, I highly suggest booking this cabin and making memories of snowy shenanigans with the kids!We will definitely book again in the future.

Wonderful cabin stay for long weekend. Blessed with early snowfall this year, we took our snowmobiles and had a great time. The place was very clean, the hosts were very accommodating. We loved the atmosphere and wood burning stove, we will be back!

Early Spring Getaway

Great place! We loved our weekend at the cabin and the owners were very attentive. Everything was clean and well stocked with basics. We loved the hot tub and wood stove. The trails were great too. Due to the crazy MI weather, the dirt road was a mess. We were warned by the owner ahead of time and had 4x4. Not an issue for us but might be for some. Check out Forx in Elmira for an awesome meal.

Perfect winter Getaway!!

Cozy quiet cabin tucked back off the road. Jamie was an excellent host and the cabin was stocked everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The trails behind the cabin were wonderful for snowshoeing with our dog, then at night, the woodstove was nice and toasty. Lets not forget about that amazing hot tub. The view was perfect from the porch while it was snowing. Couldnt have asked for a better weekend. I would definitely go back. Thanks again Jon and Jamie.

Home away from home

I enjoyed staying in the cabin from beginning to the end. I appreciate how thoughtful the owners are with the decor and esp the cleanlinness. The cabin is spacious. Perfect for a small family. I loved how they created hiking trails aound the cabin. The pups were able to roam free and enjoyed every walking/running moments. The host was very quick to reply and was super friendly. Like chating with a good friend. Being helpful is always important as well. I couldn't thank them enough for opening up their cabins for traveleres like us. The hot tub was a plus! Great for sore muscles and aching backs. Do not pass this cabin up. Believe me. It is a great place to stay!

Best place to see the Fall colors.

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Cottage. There were a couple minor hiccups, but I don’t fault the owner for Mother Nature or Michigans Fall weather. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

30th anniversary trip

Cute little cabin and VERY clean! Lots of little extras available that you don’t think about packing until it’s needed. Close enough to everywhere we planned on going, but secluded from all the everyday noises of life. Highly recommend if looking for a relaxing getaway.

The perfect escape

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Connie's. It was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Our dogs enjoyed the trail behind the house. The location is perfect if you want to visit the Sky Bridge, Charlevoix, Deadman's hill and may other stops. Even though there are two other cabins on the property it was still peaceful and quiet.

Nice little cottage within reasonable distance of amenities.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this little, quiet cabin. The area is dead silent and surprisingly devoid of wildlife (or even bird variety). However, it’s ideally located for day trips throughout Northern Michigan (Traverse peninsula; Mackinac Island; even Ontario!). Would highly suggest using Gaylord as your base for restaurants, gas, shopping; only 11 miles away. Surrounding main roads are well-paved, and the side country roads/path to cabin are well-maintained and should provide traction in bad weather (which we saw absolutely NONE during an unusually warm September week in Michigan). Communication with landlord was excellent. Hot tub is quite spacious and hard to stay out of. Overall, highly recommended!

This is a beautiful property that is remote enough to enjoy peace and quiet, but close enough to many northern Michigan attractions. We enjoyed nature, food and the Boyne Skybridge.

A lovely little escape

This cozy little cottage is nestled away from the busy city and was the perfect escape for our anniversary. The hosts were lovely, and very communicative with lots of suggestions for things to do in the surrounding area. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, and cozying up around the fire at night. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
