Brian and I chose the Cape May Bungalow as a quiet retreat during our wedding weekend. Not only was the property beautiful but the host was caring and generous! We could have asked for a better stay, thank you!

Wonderful Cozy Beach Cottage!

Wonderful stay in Cape May. The Flybridge was perfect for our week in Cape May. We had 4 adults. We didn’t use the exposed attic room due to the ceiling being pretty low. The cottage is well appointed with comfy seating area, kitchen, full washer/dryer. 2 full baths. Great shared outside seating and table areas. Shared bikes @ property was a bonus! Easy 15 minute walk to town. We drove our car to the beach.Owner Gina was very responsive! Looking forward to future stays at this property!

My sister and I took our dad to Cape for long weekend. It was so much fun. Place was great. Dad has limited mobility but did well up small flight of steps. Enjoyed all outdoor areas too. It was perfect for 3 people.

Cozy Beach House

The Flybridge was the perfect place to stay in Cape May. It’s a 13 minute walk to the Washington Street shopping district, and a quick bike ride or drive to the beach. Gina was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We had a great time!

Exceeded our expectations! Lovely stay

Our family of 4 ( kids age 4 and 7) stayed in the bungalow for a week and it was the best summer vacation spot we've had yet. The house was well taken care, styled nicely and details thoughtfully made. The kitchen was well stocked with things for cooking, washer and dryer worked well, and the outdoor seating was so pleasant. We would recommend making sure you pick up coffee for the first morning, along with any laundry or dish washer soap you want to use while staying. Having the beach tags provided took a stress off of us and having a beach cart and bikes to use was such a blessing. There are plenty of bike options with locks provided- we used them daily and were so thankful. The water pressure in the showers was fabulous and all of the linens were soft and luxurious. If you are a light sleeper it does get a bit bright in the morning through the light filtering blinds but we were able to fix pretty simply as there were a number of light throws in the rooms to add a bit of a curtain if needed. Despite no central AC there were plenty of window units that provided great cooling and kept things very comfortable. The house is located in a great spot with everything being a quick bike ride or moderate walk ( 1 mile-ish). We loved the neighborhood and will certainly look to return to this adorable spot again in the future.

Cape May Getaway

Constructive feedback. Should be disclosed owner and family stay on property which would have influenced decision to stay. Owner showed up drunk night we checked in, in her own words “I’m hammered”. We ended up being the host to her 4 witnesses who were all very uncomfortable with this and things she said while sitting with us. 3 of 4 a/c units need replacing 1 in master appears to have mold (photos to document) within vents and hard time cooling room very old u it 1 turns on with no other controls working including temp very old unit 1 seems to be on last leg 1 in family area directly on anyone sitting on couches which impacts use of room. Great layout although third room up top with just a bed more of an attic space. Refrigerator seems on last leg. Owner sent message prior to check in asking for help cleaning even though all fees paid seems unreasonable given cleaning fees paid. . The unit itself is fantastic. Neighbors very nice as well. Would recommend with minor changes.

June 2023

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. My husband and I were down for a week with our 2 teenagers and it suited us very well. For us, the location was great. We did a bunch of biking and walking. We did drive to the beach which really wasn’t an issue. It was not difficult to find parking at the beach but we did have to pay (minimally) for it. We enjoyed walking to town or beach in the evening and early morning. The property was great. Great space for the four of us. We brought 2 bikes of our own, but never had a problem taking an extra one or two from the property. All in all, it was a fantastic week and we would love to rent again! Thank you!

Ideal Beach Town Rental

Between the two couples who stayed here and have logged more than half a dozen other stays in Cape May, this was the most pleasant. The second floor unit features the kitchen, living space, main bedroom with bathroom, and a secondary bedroom with two single beds. Another double bed is in the attic/loft space. The entire unit is well-appointed and fashionable, with any supplies you forgot to pack. The extra bikes, bike rack, and beach tags were a lovely touch. Between the private deck and backyard there are four different areas to enjoy the outdoors on the property; each of them a wonderful choice. Street parking is no issue as there is always plenty of availability. If you're visiting during the warm months the window air conditioning units can be a little noisy. The ceiling fans in the main living area kept it cool so we only needed the AC in the bedrooms at night. The addition of stand fans in the bedroom would be beneficial. I would gladly stay here again!

Quaint spot

Our stay was fine. It is cozy and quirky as you’d expect the top floor of a house to be. Negatives were: It wasn’t particularly comfortable for my 6’ tall husband; There are stairs that make the living space a little challenging with small toddlers; the attic bonus sleeping space is difficult for a few reasons including it is open to the living space and has a very low ceiling. Sleeping in was impossible, the bedroom spaces would all benefit from blackout curtains. The positives were: the outside hangout space is great; parking was never an issue; location is nice, our host was communicative. I don’t think our families were the right fit for this property but it could be great for a family with older kids or a small group of adults. Depends what you’re looking for!

Perfect vacation getaway

This property was as advertised a lovely place to stay! Loved the location on Washington street. Very clean, beds were very comfortable. We loved the little deck for morning coffee and afternoon cocktail! How nice that there were beach chairs and bikes for us to use. That was great and very much appreciated!!! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Great Cape May Spot

The Flybridge is a truly lovely spot in Cape May. A short walk past gorgeous homes and gardens to downtown or the town beaches, an even shorter walk to the oldest tavern in town! and a short drive or bike to all of the beautiful west side spots. The place is so comfortable, we probably stayed 'home' more than we normally would have on vacation. We melted into the furniture and beds. And the owners have a great interior-decorator touch and offer all of the amenities you could wish for, including beach chairs and bikes and outdoor living spots. We hope to come back some fine day!

About the host

Hosted by Gina Milner

Host profile image
I’m Gina and my husband is Andy, we both grew up coming to the Jersey Shore and visiting Cape May. We met in college and fell in love on an off shore fishing trip! Fishing was always Andy’s passion and I never left the beach, but one day despite a treacherous journey miles off shore the ocean quieted and I fell in love, with him, and a view of the ocean I had never experienced. We own a boat and dock it at the gorgeous Cape May Marina and in January of 2022, after years of searching, we finally bought our little sliver of the island on Washington Street. If you can’t find us surfing at the COVE, or eating at The C-VIEW, we’ve gone fishing!

Why they chose this property

Cape May is the oldest shore town in the US. A fishing town that managed to marry its fresh catch with some outstanding chefs, including the only Michelin Star Chef in New Jersey. Gorgeous beaches line the coast and history abounds! Washington Street in particular is quintessential Cape May! The street is lined with colorful Victorian homes including this property which is a contributing historic structure built in the 1800’s. Washington Street is a great street to people watch, where you feel like you are part of the action without having to leave the property!

What makes this property unique

Historic Victorian in the heart of Downtown Cape May.
