About this property
That 70s Pad - Groovy Vintage Time Capsule in Old Town Scottsdale
If a unique stay is what you’re looking for, you’ve struck Solid Gold baby! Located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, you’re only a stone’s throw from tons of restaurants, bars, cultural attractions, parks, and the Scottsdale Stadium.
With awesome vintage finds, shag rugs and disco balls, if you love the 70s, this place is right up your alley. Some pieces are museum worthy, while others have been loved and have stories. Our place is an original Hallcraft Homes community built in the 1960s with an original kitchen, it’s an ode to Arizona yesteryear.
That 70’s Pad features a cozy front room with a groovy sofa, vintage record console, shag rug, macramé hangings and lots old vintage decor.
The vintage kitchen and dinette area includes time capsule dishes, cutlery, pots/pans, bake ware and vintage cookbooks. The cozy dinette area seats four with a cabinet full of vintage 60s and 70s board games and puzzles for endless hours of nostalgic entertainment.
Step inside the most unique, IG worthy powder room to handle your business. Mirrored, foil wallpaper pops in this Disco-reminiscent throwback and a disco ball swings over the commode. Other guests may wonder why you’ve made 10 trips to the bathroom but our lips are sealed!
Upstairs, the Green Room is large, mid-century traditional bedroom and includes a king-size bed (soft/medium mattress), a large closet with vintage luggage stands, and lots of vintage era decor from swag lights to velvet art.
The Yellow Room is the secondary bedroom upstairs with a space age vintage, queen-size space age floating bed (firm mattress), classic vintage decor and a complete set of the 70’s National Geographic magazines. A mid-century daybed sitting area backs a wall of vintage era band and festival posters.
Disco fever rocks the full bath upstairs with unique decor and modern amenities. Have you ever done your business under a disco ball? We didn’t think so but you can here! Bathroom includes a deep, step-in tub with both a shower head and hand nozzle. Single sink with generous storage. Two entry doors, one from main hall and one from master bedroom.
Outside, a vintage parquet bar with vinyl and chrome bar stools adorn the covered patio. Set up the card table and play a round of poker or stroll off in to Old Town, a few minutes away from over 70 restaurants, bars, museums, and the Giants spring training facility.
For the outdoorsy folks, Papago Park and Camelback Mountain are a few minutes ride, and the green belt and canal are within walking distance. Numerous golf courses and recreational facilities are a short ride away.
Staying closer to to home, the property features large lawn areas for croquet, corn hole, lawn darts and extends over to a gated, unheated community pool (closed Jan-March). Parking for one or two cars can be accommodated in the carport area.
Truly the most unique, one-of-a-kind stay in the Valley, That 70’s Pad will bring back memories and create unforgettable new ones!
Love thrifting? We know lots of great spots for thrifting, estate sales and auctions. We offer a private Vintage Road Trip excursion for guests (cost applies, transportation and lunch is provided). We can also arrange shipping for your items.
Rental cars are available as well. Inquire at booking for special rates.
Thanks for considering That 70’s Pad as your destination pad!! Happy travels.
