Not worth the $500 in fees

Considering that this property charged more than $500 is fees (above the nightly charges and taxes), I expected a property that was well maintained. While it was clean and had the rooms. baths and beds as advertised, it needs a lot of upkeep. The microwave did not work, the kitchen has NO oven mitts, very few pans for cooking for a house that hosts 6 people, the sink has no stopper to wash dishes, and until I figured out that you had to reset an electrical outlet- we couldn't use the dishwasher. The beds are fine- the living room furniture is awful. One of the downstairs bedrooms had no functioning lights and a broken curtain- so be prepared to be awake by 6 am. The front glass storm door is broken as well. The location is great and had adequate parking and Vacasa did send someone out to look at the dishwasher and microwave (but did not fix the microwave). For the high fee cost- this property is not worth it.

Good location but the house needs better maintenance

The location of this property is great, easy to get to the town or Acadia. We ran into several issues with the property. It can sleep only 6, not 8 as advertised. One of the bedrooms on the first floor didn’t have curtains, we were told it would be taken care of, but that didn’t happen during our stay. That bedroom faced east so this meant that people would wake up quite early. The dryer wasn’t working. Kitchen appliances like the oven and the toaster oven had burnt food in them so we couldn’t really use those. Other places we have stayed at typically provided aluminum foil, oil etc. though not here. This meant we had to purchase everything for a few days stay. The towels that were provided had hair on them, the comforters had stains. We connected with the management team, they said they’d take care of things but they were not addressed. Thanks.

Summer House IV

Overall nice location and house. Norm (property mgr) was very helpful especially when my party of 8 showed and the pictured futons for sleeping were not present leaving two of our guests to be without a bed to sleep. Once we got past all that hassle - we had a very nice stay. So I recommend the property owners adjust their listing or provide the proper accommodations since you advertise this unit sleeps 8

Bar Harbor

Clean. Great location, easily accessible to Bar Harbor and one of the park entrances. We actually walked to one of the carriage roads. Nice fenced in yard if you bring a dog. There is a steep staircase and no gate to block it so probably wouldn't be good for small children. Had a problem with the dryer and the contact info for property management was not up to date.
