Was wonderful to relax in this 50’s themed home! Enjoyed having coffee in morning on the covered deck in back. The decorations were amazing and yet very practical. Would gladly stay again!
Nice place
Good location
Main Street is a bit noisy but it calms down at night. Trees need to be trimmed back off of the driveway. Would stay there again.
The house was perfect for our family of 4. It could hold more people comfortably. The location was nice. We really liked the game table. It was great having a garage to keep the car inside. Our only complaint is the water pressure is abysmal. With such bad water pressure it wouldn't cost much to equip the bathrooms with shower heads that create a spray but the basement shower head just dribbled water, which made it barely useable. Also one of the cheap shower knobs in the upstairs kept falling off. If I did it again I would get a new shower head on the first day.
Overall this was a great place to stay. Water pressure leaves a little bit to be desired. Patio furniture was very dirty. However, we would definitely stay here again.
House was great, location was great. Only problem we did not have enough supplies for two week stay. Only 2 rolls of tp per bathroom, little dish detergent for washing dishes, and only enough bath soap for three days. we had to purchase all of those. Haven't had to do that before with VNBRO rentals. Garbage was not emptied when we got there and Caitlain did not respond to my text messages on when trash was to be picked up. Overall a good rental and would return again.
The house was just adorable, spotless, and super cozy! The location was perfect and the sights were beautiful!! We will definitely tey to book again next uear.
Perfect VRBO!
Clean!
Comfortable!
Convenient!
Thank you for helping to make our group’s first visit to South Dakota an excellent one!!
I HIGHLY recommend this rental!!
The house was exactly as portrayed in the VRBO posting. Everything was clean and looked very nice when we arrived. we were there for a memorial service, so we had lots of family staying at the house. We also had a small get-together for more family one evening. The house was close to our RC family member's home and to the church where the service was conducted, so the location was great for us and very safe. Whenever we needed to communicate with Caitlin, her response was very quick. We had a small issue with water pressure, and there was a leak in the basement that we reported to Caitlin, but nothing that hurt our visit. We would recommend this house to anyone.
Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the location. The home was clean and comfortable for our group of four. The fenced backyard and covered deck with grill were appreciated.
Retro 50’s theme decor. The home was cute, cozy and comfortable. There is a great outdoor area with a grill. We used this as our base of operations to do sightseeing in all the surrounding parks. It is conveniently located and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Basically all the major things were provided. Some minor amenities were lacking such as facial tissue, extra toilet paper, trash bags and dish soap. The bedrooms could use some luggage racks as there are only closets to put clothes. Also the yard could use a little love since some of the weeds were the size of small trees. All in all we loved staying there and would return if ever back in the area. Great idea for decorating! Kudos to the owner.
We had a lovely trip to Rapid City and enjoyed staying here very much. The cleanest and nicest home rental we’ve ever stayed in! Lovely comfy furniture, high end appliances and everything has a charming mid century retro theme. The guest binder said that the home was originally owned in the 1950s by one of Rapid City’s master tile workers and the home is full of gorgeous original tile features. Good Wi-Fi, plenty of towels, good floor plan. There are white shag carpets in the upstairs and hard floors throughout. We used the broom throughout our stay to keep things clean. Beds very comfortable. We stayed with two of my in-laws and their spouses and one of their teen sons. The only issue we had was accessing the house. The key code didn’t work on the front door but it worked on the garage and there was a physical key too. Later the garage code unit stopped working so we had to juggle the one physical key between three couples which was tricky. This was a minor issue, overall this was a lovely charming house and great location! We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us!

Could be great!
Arrived, didn’t receive the needed communication to enter property—quickly resolved by Vrbo personnel. Family emergency kept her from communicating. I’d suggest she has a local backup. Main bathroom had no shower curtain — we had to go purchase a new one . Also, needs to have small end table/ night stand on each side of bed. A few enhancements would make this a great place to stay. Centrally located for excursions through out the area. A bit difficult to get to the location.
This cozy and warm home worked great for our family! It's '50's vibe suited us all! Great location for exploring all of the sites South Dakota has to offer and we had a bonus with Sturgis Motorcycle Rally beginning while we were visiting. Caitlin was great and answered all of my questions promptly! We'd go back and would recommend it to our friends!
Could of used some more toilet paper and hand soap. We were four adults and 1 child. Also, a few of the doors
wouldn’t shut/latch properly, especially the bathroom door on the main level. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay; the “retro” look was very fun. It was a good middle point for all of our activities.
