We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and felt comfortable. The beds were great and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The house has lake access across the street (though we were here in the winter, so didn't make use of the lake) and gorgeous views of the sunrise. We would rent this house again.
Overall we enjoyed the home and lakefront. Swimming was good and nice clean water. Also enjoyed use of the kayak. We were disappointed that we could not use the dock in the manner we intended. We were under the impression we could leave the boat docked but were informed that we could not because the end portion would be removed due to the lake level.
Staying here was such a pleasure! The home and kitchen were very well appointed with everything we needed. Spacious, cool with the ACs, and close to the water with an excellent beachfront. The fenced-in yard and wrap-around porch were a delight for us as well as our furry members of the family. We were all able to truly relax here. For people who might be concerned about the closeness to route 2 - it was no issue to cross to and from the beach and we didn't hear the traffic noise at all inside the house. We have stayed at many places on the islands over the years and this was one of our very favorite homes. We hope to return soon and I would urge anyone to book. Lovely home, excellent communication, and a wonderful vacation. Perfect combination!
Our adult family of four enjoyed five nights at Hero's Landing while attending a nearby wedding. What a beautiful, comfortable spot with amazing views of the lake. The older renovated home has all the amenities you would expect. Communications with Charles, the property manager, was superb! We would highly recommend this location... and hope to come back again!
We had a wonderful stay in North Hero. The lake views were beautiful. The home was clean and comfortable, well appointed with plenty of towels, amenities, and cozy details. Charles, the property manager, was responsive and helpful. We had fun exploring the area and kayaking on the lake. Such a peaceful place! We enjoyed the board games and stargazing at night after a day of exploring the islands, Burlington, and Waterbury.

The cottage is very lovely and clean. The kitchen was not well stocked. No large bowls, or measuring cups etc. The beach and dock were beautiful but the walk across the road to the beach is dangerous. Very busy street and obstructed view when crossing. Proper manager was absolutely horrible about returning my calls or email. We did enjoy ourselves but would not choose the property again.
My husband and I spent 8 days on North Hero Island and absolutely loved it. Beautiful landscape and lots to do and explore. The house was great, except for the fact that it is right on Route 2 (which wasn't in the original listing). The views of the lake from the house are lovely, but you have to cross a busy (and loud!) road to access the water. (Also, water shoes are a must.)
Charles who manages the property was amazing. There were a few kitchen amenities missing, but Charles was really responsive and brought them over to us the next day. The home owner even purchased outdoor furniture for the porch and Charles built it and brought it over on a Sunday.
Overall a wonderful week.
